There were 46 pupils from the beginner to the eighth grade in 1927. School was held from 9 to 4. Is was customary to have a pie or box supper to raise funds for a Christmas tree each year. It was located five miles east and 2 1/2 miles north of Roll and was built about 1910. Previous to this time, it was in a dirt dugout about 1 mile northeast of this site. A one room school building in a pasture facing east and about 30x50 feet. The school house faced east as it stood on the east side of the slope. Played basketball, kick the can and a lot of baseball. Spelling matches and ciphering were held nearly every Friday. In the spring of 1941 the Five Star School closed and transferred to Breezy Meadow. The lumber from this school was used in building the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hoover JONES.
