Funeral services for Dale OWENS, 84, of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow with the Revs. George Corbell and Charles Phillips officiating. Burial is at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. OWENS was born on Jan. 6, 1927, in Muldrow to Marion Franklin OWENS and Cassie Maud (ROGERS) OWENS. He died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Anna Jo FREEMAN Dec. 6, 1952, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 2009. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Dale and Richard Glenn; one daughter, Cathy Ann; two sisters, Velma and Lois; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Jim BRANHAM, 69, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brushy Cemetery, north of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BRANHAM was born July 30, 1941, in Sallisaw to George BRANHAM and Erma (HALE) BRANHAM. He died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Sallisaw. He married Phyllis PETREE Feb. 4, 1963, in Stilwell. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis BRANHAM of the home; one daughter, Tammy; two sons, James and Scotty; one sister, Joyce; two brothers, Jack and Glen; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son, Danny BRANHAM, his parents, three sisters, Bobbie SCHMITZ, Geneva EDDINGFIELD and Juanita SOUTHERLAND, and two brothers, Bud and Clint BRANHAM.

Funeral services for Elsie L. “Nick” BURR, 84, of Webbers Falls were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Wendell Cox and Norman Leatherman officiating. Burial was at Vaught Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. BURR was born March 6, 1927, in Charleston, Ark., to Seymour and Effie (QUALLS) McNATT. She died Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Webbers Falls. She married Nelson BURR on Feb. 5, 1944. Survivors include one daughter, Jeannie; one son, Andy and wife, Linda; one sister, Ethel and husband, Mutt; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Effie CHILDERS, son, Jimmy BURR and a sister, Louise CAUTHON.

Funeral services for Emma Lee FARMER, 91, of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow with Bro. Tommy Treat, Bro. Shawn Money, Bro. Shawn Gard, Bro. Michael Branson, Bro. Monte Johnson, and Bro. Jim Henson officiating. Burial is at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. FARMER was born on Jan. 23, 1920, in Cottonwood to Washburn LEE and Ellen Egathia (TAYLOR) LEE. She died Monday, April 4, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Frank Henry FARMER on Feb. 5, 1944, in Muldrow. He preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2003. Survivors include one son, Frankie; one daughter, Saundra; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Marie, Lucille and Joyce, and four brothers, Herbert, Ed, Paul and Wash Jr.

Edna L. ROSS of Sallisaw was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Cookson to Frank and Nellie (SWITZER) ROBERTSON and passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in Sallisaw at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband, William of the home; three sons, Adrian and wife, Michelle,   Tommy Lee, and Jeff; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Donna JONES; six sisters, Della HOLSTON, Nannie WILLIS, Modean FRITZ, Opal HOLMES, Cozzette PRUITT, Leatrice HAMMETTE; and two brothers, Rufus ROBERTSON and Dwight ROBERTSON. She loved to sew and garden. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Box Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Mullins officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Harry SQUIRES, 64, of Gans was born Feb. 9, 1947, to Jack and Velma (POWELL) SQUIRES. He died on Friday, April 1, 2011, in Sallisaw. No services are planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by five brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cheryl SQUIRES and one daughter, Dolsey SQUIRES.

Chuck WEINKE was born on Aug. 6, 1952, in Oceanside, Calif., to Charles Lloyd WEINKE. He died on Monday, April 4, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. No formal services are planned at this time and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He married Eddena Raye TARWATER on March 26, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nev. Survivors include his wife, Eddena WEINKE of the home; one daughter, Keisha; three sons, Gary, Dustin and Tim; three sisters, Emily, Rebecca, and Lisa; father and stepmother, Chuck and Katherine WEINKE; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other nieces nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Clifton Von CLAYTON, 38, of Jacksonville, N.C., formerly of Paris, Ark., are at noon Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Paris. Burial is at Raney Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris. Mr. CLAYTON was born on May 17, 1972, in Ozark, Ark., to Bobbby Ray and Mary (HAMILTON) CLAYTON. He died on Monday, April 4, 2011, in Durham, N.C. He is survived by his mother, Mary THOMPSON; and two brothers, Anthony and Clinton Lester.

Richard Lee “Dick” COOPER, 70, of Edgerton, Kan., passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Dick was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Marion and Alberta (KOOGLER) COOPER. Dick married Ramona Sue COTTON on Jan. 26, 1962, in Stilwell. Survivors include his wife, Ramona COOPER of the home; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Le and Brenda;  one nephew;  two nieces; sister-in-law, Linda and husband, Bill; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Bro. Royce Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Ramona E. McCLAIN, 54, of Roland are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roland Church of Christ. Burial is at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. McCLAIN was born on Nov. 12, 1956. She died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in Roland. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Michael of Pocola; her mother, Dortha GUNTER; two daughters, LaDonna and husband, Sean, and Chasity and husband, Rodney; four grandchildren; one brother, Tony and wife, Betty; two sisters, Angela and husband, Gerald, and Shonia and husband, Brian; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ray GUNTER.

Funeral services for Steven Lake PRUITT, 62, of Norman are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vian Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial is at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. PRUITT was born on Nov. 26, 1948, in Eureka, Calif., to William Howard PRUITT and Marlene. He died on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He married Wanda June HOLLAWAY DRUM on April 20, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. She preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2008. Survivors include two sons, Steven Lee and John Wayne; his father Gump PRUITT; two grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his mother.

Hazel B WICKETT was born on Feb. 5, 1911, in Akins, in 1927, she began dating a young man named William “Bill” WICKETT and on March 30, 1929, they were married. She died April 4, 2011 in Owassa, Ok.    She is survived by her two children, William and his wife, Shirley, and her daughter, Clara; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister Gladys; and many nieces, nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, William WICKETT, her brothers, Melvin, Earl and Perry, her sister Cherokee “Chuckie” and her favorite son-in-law, Bill GROVE. Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. CRAIGHEAD was born on Nov. 26, 1956, in Wichita, Kan., to Clarence Don SPEER and Bernice (DAMERON) SPEER SITTON. She died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Vian. She married Archie Don CRAIGHEAD on June 2, 1989, in Poteau. Survivors include her husband, Archie CRAIGHEAD of the home; one daughter, Andrea; three sons, Josh, Steven and Austin; one sister, Lynn; two brothers, Daniel and Richard Allen II; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael YANCY.

Mr. JAMES was born on Jan. 4, 1927, in Charleston, Ark., to Harvey Jackson JAMES and Jesse Elba (SHIRLEY) JAMES. He died on Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Lois Marie ASHLEY on May 29, 1947, in Hot Springs, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Marie JAMES of the home; one daughter, Pat; five sons, David, Loyd, Don, John Paul and Dwayne; two sisters, Oleata and Cleata; three brothers, Norman, Leroy and George; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wanetta MADDON and Catherine LOWE and one brother, Lowell JAMES.

Mr. JEREMIAH was born on Oct. 16, 1949, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Junior Foster JEREMIAH and Bertha Helen (SEABOLT) OWENS. He died on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Muldrow. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda and Lisa; two sisters, Patsy and Myrna; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley RANKIN.

Merel Rowe officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. QUALLS was born on Oct. 24, 1944, in Vian to Jack CRAIGHEAD and Bonnie Victoria Lorene (MILLIGAN) CRAIGHEAD. She died Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Oklahoma. She married Dallas Ray Andrew QUALLS Aug. 25, 1965, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2001. Survivors include three daughters, Vickie, Lisa and Nicole; two sons, Andy and Bobby; seven sisters, Lois, Ella, Linda, Lahoma, Sally, Lena and Jean; three brothers, Doyle, Sam and Rick; and several grandchildren.

Infant Caliber Chester William Ray WATERS of Gans was born Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Rusty and Jodie Collins WATERS and passed away the same day. He is survived by his parents of the home; three sisters, Arieonna, Teri Lyn and Kadence; two brothers, Chevy Nova and Camron; maternal grandparents, Steve COLLINS and Teri HANNAH; great-grandmother, Martha SWINSON; great-grandfather, Walter WRIGHT;  six maternal aunts and uncles; and six paternal aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Colton WATERS, his paternal grandparents, Jimmy Ray LONG and Rhonda Jean WATERS, maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ruth COLLINS, great-great-grandmother, Grace HEGWOOD and aunt Shealyn COLLINS. She died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Alice and Kelly; two sons, Michael and Sean; one brother, Charley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents

Mrs. O’NEAL was born on Nov. 3, 1917, in Liberty to Press ROMINES and Salina Lou Ella (JONES) ROMINES. She died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married T.J. “Marvin” O’Neal Oct. 25, 1968, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Pearl MOQUETT, Cora WELLS, Martha BOYD and Girtie ALLISON.

Burial is at South Bunch Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Sept. 26, 1977, in Tahlequah to Leon ROSIN and Wanda Faye (PRITCHETT) ROSIN. She died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son, Daron; her father; three sisters, Merianda, Adriana, and Crystal; three brothers, Rodney, Aaron and Brandon; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Graveside services for Franklin COCKRELL, 75, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sallisaw City Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. COCKRELL was born on Dec. 13, 1935, in Wabbeseka, Ark., to Horace Franklin COCKRELL Sr., and Aretta (FREEMAN) COCKRELL. He died Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Opal Carolyn DiGIACINTO in 1988 in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death Nov. 30, 2010. Survivors include two sons, Richard, and Michael; and one sister, Betty Ann. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Johnny, Marvin and Bruce COCKRELL.

Robert Eugene DAME, 80, of Arkoma died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Arkoma. He was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Massachusetts. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He married LaDonna Mae McGHEE in 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. She preceded him in death Feb. 10, 2005. He is survived by numerous friends and relatives.

Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HIGHT was born July 4, 1930, in Brushy to Walter GIBSON and Jewell (ROGERS) GIBSON. She died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Jenks. She married Robert Melvin HIGHT Jan. 16, 1947, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2006. Survivors include four sons, Robert L., Dwight, Mark, and Mike; one sister, Emma; one brother, Harold; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon HIGHT, her parents and three brothers, George, Bobby and Paul GIBSON.

Charles Sparkman officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HILL was born on Jan. 28, 1951, in Sallisaw to Rex Ray LOCKHART and Lela Mae (TILLERY) LOCKHART. She died Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Sallisaw. She married Silas “Sam” HILL Jr. April 27, 2001, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Silas “Sam” HILL Jr., of the home; and three sisters, Edna Mae, Peggy, and Judy. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Rose Mary WACKERLY, and two brothers, L.H. and Ergie Ray LOCKHART.

Graveside services for Terry Bob MANNON, 56, of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stevenson Cemetery in Gore with Elder Lynn Hubler Sr. officiating under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. Mannon was born Oct. 26, 1954, in Muskogee to Ernie and Mary (HUBLER) MANNON. He died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in Houston, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Terri of the home; his children, Maria, Holly, Amber and husband, Jimmy, and Brenton,Brittany; two grandchildren; his mother; brothers, Dale and wife Debbie, Randy and wife Donna,  Barry and wife Nancy, and Bryan and wife, Paula; and one sister, Marlene and husband Johnny. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services for Ellis Lincoln SAPPINGTON, 94, of Webbers Falls are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls with the Rev. Jason Ravan officiating. Burial is at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. SAPPINGTON was born Aug. 17, 1916, to Oral and Carrie (WEST) SAPPINGTON in Grove. He died Monday, April 18, 2011. He married Mary ROSS on May 24, 1956, in Webbers Falls. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2008. Survivors include his daughters, Judy and husband, Dr. Gregory A., and Mary Lee and husband, Frank; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, Bill and Wanda, Robert and Modean, Virgil and Jerry, and James and Nancy; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Louise WILLIAMS, Ruth GERMAN and Beulah SAPPINGTON. .

Faye SPENCER THORNE of Sallisaw was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Orval Edward and Gladys (CURD) SPENCER and passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Sallisaw at the age of 65. She is survived by her mother of Sallisaw; and three brothers, Joe and wife, Winnie, and Robert Lee, and Paul and wife, Sally. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Donnie Ray SPENCER. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Marble City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Burial was at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. LASITER was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Sallisaw to Henry Jackson LASITER and Ellie Belle (PETREE) LASITER. He died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Sallisaw. He married Brenda Rose HADDOX Jan. 18, 1969. Survivors include his wife, Brenda LASITER of the home; one daughter, Lora; two sons, James Eric, and Nathan; one sister, Lavon; one brother, John; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clarence PETREE.

Funeral services for Jeffrey Kell ROBERTSON, 44, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was at Box Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. Robertson was born Feb. 16, 1967, in Muskogee to Robert Dale ROBERTSON and Wilma Jean (SMITH) ROBERTSON. He died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Seminole. He married Connie Jean PACK Feb. 9, 1996, in Blackgum. Survivors include his wife Connie ROBERTSON of the home; one stepdaughter, Ashley; one stepson, Jason; his parents; one sister, Karma Leah; six grandchildren; and several other relatives and many friends.

Leva Lee MORGAN DIXON, 91-year-old lifetime Checotah resident passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Leva was born on Sunday, March 21, 1920, in Pierce to Albert and Ethel (PRATER) MORGAN. Leva met, fell in love with, and on Saturday, Dec. 23, 1939, in Pierce she married Mr. Chester DIXON. Leva was preceded in death by her husband July on 20, 1980, four brothers, Bill MORGAN, Harvey “Bud” MORGAN, Joe MORGAN and Jimmie MORGAN, three sisters, Myra NORMAN, Nona TRIPP and Doris DODD. Leva is survived by her three daughters, Mary and husband Earl, Sherry and husband Robert, and Jolene and husband Dave; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnnie and wife Rhonda, and Roger Wayne and wife Elisa; one sister, Bobbie Sue; and other extended family and a host of friends. Funeral services for Leva were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garrett Funeral Home Chapel in Checotah with the Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating. Committal prayers and interment followed at Greenlawn Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett of Garrett Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Checotah.

Virgie L. MILLER FARMER of Roland was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Muldrow to James and Earlie May (ROGERS) MILLER and passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Roland. She is survived by one daughter, Terri Lynn; two sisters, Effie ,and Shirley and husband, William; two brothers, Darrell Mack and wife, Shirley, and George and wife Sue; and one grandson. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Crawford officiating. Cecil Q. HAWLEY of Sallisaw was born April 2, 1939, in Garnett, Kan., to Keith and Genivieve (THOMPSON) HAWLEY and passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark.. He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; two daughters, Cecilia and fiancé Louis, and Tammy; one sister, Joyce.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Gary Mullen officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Shere’e Janette HOHN, 30, formerly of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw with the Revs. Lance Nelson and John Weaver officiating. Burial is at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Dec. 3, 1980, in Billings, Mont., to Larry James HOHN and Janette Bernice (BARGER) HOHN. She died Sunday, April 24, 2011, in Muldrow. Survivors include her parents; one sister Angela; and her maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother.

Laura Lea MIKELL of Muldrow was born on April 24, 1934, in Short to C.P. and Betty (BRADFORD) BARNES and left this earth Monday, April 25, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark., at the age of 77. She is survived by two daughters, Bambi, and Brenda MIYAGI and husband Al; three sisters, Emma, Lydia, and Mary; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Mike” MIKELL, her parents, seven brothers, Henry, Raymond, Wilburn, Seburn, Dexter, Johnny, Clarence and three sisters, Zella HAMMERS, Edna WATERS and Lynnie BARNES. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel. Burial will follow in Seabolt Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for James Clyde RIGGS Sr., of Muldrow are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Muldrow with Bro. Bill Adcock and Bro. David Johnson officiating. Burial is at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. RIGGS was born on Oct. 3, 1943, in Muldrow to William Henry “Bill” RIGGS and Pearl Mae (YOAKUM) RIGGS. He died Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Muldrow. He married Norma Elaine OSBORNE on May 17, 1968, in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Norma RIGGS of the home; one daughter, Julia; three sons, James Clyde Jr., Justin Paul and Jason Lee; one sister, Lucille; one brother, Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lloyd RIGGS.

Funeral services for Mary Margaret SEATON, 69, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cottonwood Free Will Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial was at Muldrow Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. SEATON died Thursday, April 21, 2011, in a local hospital. Survivors include four daughters, Cassandra “Angie”, Jennifer, Margaret and her husband, Tommy, and Shelia and her husband, Roland,; one son, William; one sister, Sue.; two brothers, Michael and Roy; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Dale RUSL and Earl Gene SEATON.

Graveside services for Glen TURNER, 79, of Gans are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brent Cemetery in Sallisaw with the Rev. Sonny Sparkman officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. TURNER was born on April 21, 1932, in Gans to Robert Garfield and Mable Gertrude (GOODMAN) MOORE. He died on Monday, April 25, 2011, in Gans. Survivors include his wife, Janie MASSENGALE-TURNER of the home; one daughter, Theresa; two sons, Ronnie and Robert; seven stepchildren, Janie, Carl, Christy, Keri, Tommy, Amy and Deanna; three grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Tony TURNER, one granddaughter and his parents.

Memorial services for Velma Lea WHITMER, 83, of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Breon officiating. Cremation services were under the direction of Hunn Black and Merritt Funeral Home and Crematory of Eufaula. Mrs. Whitmer was born on Aug. 14, 1927, in Short to Claude and Nora (SNOW) FEARS. She died Friday, April 22, 2011, in a local nursing facility. She is survived by two sons, Mark and wife, Sherry, and Daryl and wife, Alicia; and three grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Glenn WHITMER

Funeral services for James WILKETT Sr., 79, of Stigler are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mallory Chapel in Stigler with Ministers John and Gwen Titsworth officiating. Burial is at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral home and Crematory of Stigler. Mr. WILKETT was born on July 23, 1931, in Wilburton to General Jackson and Effie Ann (WELLS) WILKETT. He died on Sunday, April 24, 2011, in Stigler. Survivors include his wife, Linda WILKETT of the home; four daughters, Gwen and John, and Elizabeth and Timmy Donr, Connie, and Kelley and Rusty; three sons, Davey and wife, Mary, James M. Jr., and John; numerous grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Keith and Barbara, and Richard and Ellen ; mother-in-law, Imogene HISER; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Mae MIZE WILKETT, his parents, sisters, Marie VINCENT and Velma and Anna Mae WILKETT, brothers, Elmer and Bob WILKETT, son-in-law, Ronnie WEATHERFORD and father and mother-in-law, L.A. and Lillis MIZE.
