Graveside services for John Robert "Johnny Bob" BENGE, 45, of North Richland Hills, Texas, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Redman Cemetery in DeQueen, Ark., under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen. He was born Dec. 13, 1957, in Poteau to Bob BENGE and Shirley BENGE. He died Friday, March 28, 2003, in his home. Survivors include one son, Shane; two daughters, Amii and Jennifer; two grandchildren, Landon and Emma; his mother, Shirley BENGE; one brother, Mark; and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Michael "Mike" BENGE.

CORBELL, 73, of Muldrow were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, at the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with burial in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Kaye CORBELL of the home; one daughter, Cindy; one son, Greg; two grandchildren; his mother, Jewel CORBELL; three sisters, Shirley, Barbara and Linda; and two brothers, Otis and Grover.

She was born April 13, 1928, in Paw Paw Bottoms community to Eli Jefferson WELCH and Cora Elizabeth (TOUNZEN) WELCH. She died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Sallisaw. She married G.B. JONES on Sept. 23, 1950, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Wyemiah, Brenda and Vicki; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Colleen; two brothers, E.J. and Otto; one daughter-in-law, Carmen; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including three God Children, Rhoda , Karen and Kathy.

She was born July 17, 1911, in Osage to Thomas and Maggie OSBORN. She died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Jack; one niece; four step-grandchildren; and several friends. Mrs. MARTIN was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. "Hi" MARTIN; and one sister and brother-in-law, Catherine O. and Roy FRYE Jr.

He was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Tahlequah to Alvin Eugene WALKER and Vida Marie (WATIE) WALKER. He died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Athens, Texas. Survivors include his mother, of the home; three sisters, Deborah Faye, Patricia Diane and Linda Kay; one brother, Garren Michael; three nieces; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

She died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in her home. Mrs. BRYANT was an assembly line worker for O.K. Foods. Survivors include her mother, Mary THOMAS of Fort Smith; four sisters, Ruth, Sharon, Brenda and Gay Lynn; three brothers, Joseph, Cylde and Francis; and other relatives and friends, including her fiancee Roger and his daughter, Rachel.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Betsy Lee and her husband Carl; two nephews, Jack and Jim; and one nieces, Desia Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Haskell E. SMITH; an infant son; five sisters; and two brothers.

He died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Fort Smith. Survivors include several cousins and other relatives and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Lola Mae and Debra Ann; six sons, John W., Everett E., Russell Dean, Harold D., Joe F. and Thelbert N.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Carol SMITHSON, wife of State Rep. Glen 'Bud" SMITHSON died Wednesday in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. SMITHSON 51, was born May 21, 1951, in Gans to Bert an Elma ENGLAND of Edmond. Mrs. SMITHSON is survived by her husband of 33 years, Glen "Bud" SMITHSON of the home; two sons, Todd and his wife, Michelle, and Justin Glen; her parents, Bert and Elma ENGLAND; four sisters, twin sister Cheryl an her husband, Greg; Barbara and her husband, Ron; Betty and her husband, Larry; and Gail and her husband, Robert "Red"; father-in-law and mother-in-law, W.A. and Doris SMITHSON; sisters-in-law, Cheryl and her husband, Wendel, and Pam and her husband, Rick; a brother-in-law, Don and his wife, Wanda; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Hershel McDONALD, former Sallisaw Liberty Elementary School Principal, are being held at 2 p.m.Thursday, April 17, at the First Christian Church. Mr. McDONALD died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Sallisaw at the age of 96. Burial is in the Sallisaw City Cemetery, and Dr. Lee Woodard, Norma Ruth Stewart and Walter Leeper will officiate. Arrangements are by Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. McDONALD was born Dec. 6, 1906 in Mountainburg, Ark., the son of Alfred Green McDONALD and Ida Virginia McADAMS McDONALD. He was given the name Alfred Hershel McDONALD. He married Grace Stella PINKERTON in Van Buren, Ark. on Dec. 23, 1929. She preceded him in death on May 17, 1997. She married Bates SCOTT on Sept. 7, 1940, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2003. Survivors include one daughter an son-in-law, Irma and Tom; one granddaughter; two sisters, Eula and Wilma; three brothers, Ralph, J.W. and Everet B. "Sonny"; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Nora Bell WOFFORD, 98, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 9 a.m. Saturday, at the Sallisaw City Cemetery gazebo, with Rev. Bill Fuller officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Nov. 4, 1904, in Elkins, Ark. to Dave RICHARDSON and Susie (HARRIS) RICHARDSON. She died Thursday, April 24, 2003, in Oklahoma City. She married Tatum Lafayett "Tate" WOFFORD on Aug. 21, 1920, in Hanson. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1984. Survivors include one granddaughter, Judy; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by one daughter an son-in-law, Eula and Gene CRANFORD; and one son, James David WOFFORD.
