Funeral services for Nancy Jane PARKER, 81, formerly of Fort Smith, are being held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. She died on Sunday, March 27, 2005 in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy and her husband Larry; three sons, Bill and his wife Roseanne, and Scott, Stephen and his wife Debbie.; three step-sons, Carl PARKER III and Craig PARKER both of Dallas, Texas, and Steve PARKER of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William FURNER; her second husband, Carl PARKER, Jr.; and her parents.
Graveside services for Wilbur David ROGERS, 75, formerly of Sallisaw, were held March 31 at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Moore Funeral Home. He was born on Sept. 11, 1929, to John C. and Autumn (DRAKE) ROGERS. He died on March 28, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Stella ROGERS of the home; two sons, Jimmy and Gary; one daughter Joyce; one sister Carolyn; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Evelyn M. "Granny" SANDERS, 84, of Ft. Smith, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the South Side Baptist Church in Ft. Smith, Ark. Burial was at U. S. National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Ark. under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Ft. Smith, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Laveme SANDERS of the home; three daughters, Judy J., Margie and Anita; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two grandsons.

Graveside services for Ed Raymond CARTER, 87, of Springdale, Ark., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, Ark. He was born on April 10, 1917 in Braden Bottoms. He died on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in his home. Survivors include his wife, Carmen (OLIVER) CARTER of the home; six sons, Jerry, Cloud and Richard, Carl, Clyde, and Glen; two daughters, Diane and Sherita; two brothers, Odle and Mack; one aunt, Ina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Barbara HURST DAVIS, 80, of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh, with Janie McKeehen and Ed Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. She was born on Nov. 21, 1924 in Eufaula, to Columbus McBRIDE and Stella Elvira (CAPE) POLK. She died on Monday, April 4, 2005 in Sallisaw. She married Lester HURST on June 22, 1940 in Eufaula. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1968. She later married Glen DAVIS on Nov. 9, 1970 in Shawnee. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2001. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Harold; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Guy C. and Allouise, and Michael; one sister, Alma; one brother, A.Q.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Colette HURST; her parents; and two brothers, Bruce and Seguel POLK.

She was born on March 6, 1928 in Webbers Falls, to Buck GIRTY and Kate (SULLIVAN) GIRTY. She died on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Gore. She married Gene HENDRIX on March 28, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Larry and wife Mindy; one daughter, Debbie; one brother, Jack; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Bobbie Lee KALINEY, 69, of Sallisaw died on Friday, April 1, 2005. Arrangements under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Jan. 30, 1936 in Sallisaw to Henry BELL and Margie DOTSON. Survivors include two sisters, Louise and Claudia; one brother, James; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for David Franklin KENTNER, 69, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Edmond's First United Methodist Church in Edmond. He was born on June 3, 1935. He died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Kim; one daughter and one son-in-law, Karen Kaye and Clint; three sisters, Ann, Karen and John, and Jane; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis L. KENTNER; his mother, Leona KENTNER; and long-time partner, Damon BOSSE.

She died on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Joel SINGLETON, C.M. HANSFORD, and Adolph MARTIN. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, LaRuth and Eddie, and Sarah Elaine and Ken; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law; three great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joel SINGLETON; her second husband, C.M. HANSFORD; her third husband, Adolph MARTIN; one son, Joel SINGLETON, JR.; two brothers, Ernest FOUTS and R.G. FOUTS; one sister, Norma Ruth JONES; and one step-son, Larry Montgomery HANSFORD.

Mr. QUALLS attended Mountain View Country School. He married Irene "Bill" CRAPO on Oct. 25, 1941. She preceded him death in Jan. of 2005. Survivors include his children, Jimmie and Connie, Kenneth Andrew and Helen, Ronald Wayne and Casaja, and Paula and Robert; one sister, Nethalee; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1919 in Sequoyah County, to Arch RUSSELL and Florence (BOGGS) RUSSELL. She died on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Faye Chandler and Che Chie; seven sons, Bill Ed, Randy, and Robbie, Junior and Archie, and Jim and Tony; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma; one brother, Ed; several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mavis HUDSON in July 1965; three sisters; and one brother.

She married George Ancel REED on Nov. 20, 1940 in Muldrow. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1979 in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Irma; two sons, Calvin and Darrell; one sister, Wilma; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Bill Long officiating, under the direction of Hodge Funeral Home of Fletcher. He was born on June 6, 1937 in Filmore, to Lonnie Floyd COGBURN and Willie Gertrude (SCRIBNER) COGBURN. He died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in Sallisaw. He married Swana Del SIMMONS on Nov. 1, 1958 in Chickasha. Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Veron and his wife Teresa, Kevin and his wife Terry, and Orrin and his wife Vickie; one daughter, Dana and her husband Monty; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson and one more on the way; six brothers, Leon, Houston, Clyde, Dewayne, Clifton and A.J.; one sister, Debra; several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; one daughter, Ashley Nicole; his mother, Shirley; his maternal grandmother, Marie; his maternal grandfather, Tom HARVELL; one sister, Nita; one brother, Stan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives, friends and co-workers.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorene, and her husband Benny and Flora, and her husband Billy; one daughter-in-law, Brenda; four sons, Amis and his wife Jaunita, Riley and his wife Annie, Lee and his wife Sallie, and Wayne and his wife Callie; 35 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; one son (Pete) Pitman SEVENSTAR; and her parents.
James E. WAUG, 62, of Muldrow died on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Oct. 29, 1942 in Norton,Va. No service is scheduled. Burial is in U.S. National Cemetery, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of the home.

Burial was in Agnew Cemetery near Keefton, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. Mr. JAMES was born August 9, 1921 in Kanima, to Daniel W. JAMES and Della L (GOSS) JAMES. He died Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Ft. Smith, Ark. He married Beatrice LUMSDEN on Dec. 19, 1941 in Miami. and Barbara SUTTERFIELD on Feb. 14, 1988 in Ft. Smith Ark. Survivors include four daughters, Sandra. Vicki, Melissa, and Gayla ; one son, Jeff ; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen and Mary; three brothers, J.B., Ralph and Dan; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice LUMSDEN JAMES on Aug. 15, 1987 and two brothers Richard JAMES and Robert JAMES.

She died Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Sallisaw. She married Bill FORREST in 1946 and Al JENNINGS in 1953. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn; Two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jan, and Ronny and Glenda; One granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husbands Bill FOREST(sp) and Al JENNINGS.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Debs MEADOWS, his parents and two brothers, Bobby and Dale MEADOWS.

Survivors include wife Shelly of the home; one daughter, Natalie; three sons, Jett, Gus and Buck; Parents Roy SHELL, III and Janet M. She died Thursday, April 14, 2005 Sallisaw. She married Clyde Raymond BIGAM, Sr. Aug. 18, 1940 in Long Island City, NY. Survivors include two sons, Clyde Jr. and Raymond; four daughters, Anita Mae, Patricia, Barbara and Dorothy.
