Graveside services for Billy Charles BOGGS, 76, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, with Rev. Larry Don Marley officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in Sallisaw, to Roy L. BOGGS and Hallie (ENYART) BOGGS. He died on Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Talihina. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Joyce Dean BROWN, 63, of Sallisaw, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Nov. 23, 1940, in Hope, Ark., to John W. FAGG and Ann B. FAGG. She married Larry Wayne BROWN on Jan. 3, 1982, in Oklahoma City. She was survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Trudy and Melissa; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Dedra.
Graveside services for Cumile CAMPBELL, 75, of Poteau, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. She was born on Feb. 17, 1928, in Big Laurel, Ken., to Alfred and Nancy (TURNER) MINIARD. She died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau. Survivors include her husband, Elvin CAMPBELL of the home; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Alfred, Stoney and Carol; Winston and Melinda and Harvey; three daughters-in-law, Benna, Joetta, and Annie; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Grace, Belva and Pauline; two brothers, Henry and Will; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Albert L. CAMPBELL; one daughter, Wilma CAGLE; two granddaughters, Miranda CAMPBELL and Elizabeth CAMPBELL; three sisters, Grace, Opal and Rosie; and one brother, Denver MINIARD.

(DOWNES) GRAVES. She died on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, in Sallisaw. She married Raymond "Ray" CHANEY on Feb. 3, 1987, in Tahlequah.Survivors include her husband, Ray of the home; two daughters, Bonita and Lisa; three sons, Kevin, Steve and Mark; 15 grandchildren; two step-daughters, Randene and Teresa; six step-sons, Raymond Jr., James, David, Charles, Frank and Robert; five sisters, Margie, Geraldine, Jean, Anita and Shirley; three brothers, Bobby, James and Charles. DAVIS on May 25, 1995, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Survivors include four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Margie, Elouise, Mildred and Kenneth, and Fern and Richard; six nephews; three nieces; eight great-nephews; seven great-nieces; six great-great nephews and one great-great-niece.

Hill Jr. officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on March 7, 1935, in Dwight Mission community, to Rex Ray LOCKHART and Lela Mae (TILLERY) LOCKHART BARNETT. He died on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Little Rock, Ark. He married Polly Ann PETERS on July 13, 1956, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1991. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Vickey and Randall and Tamatha; one son, Ronald Rex; five grandchildren and one grandson-in-law; one great-granddaughter; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Edna Mae and Freddie, Peggy, Judy and Dean and Rexine and Sam; and one brother, Roger. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melissa HITE; one sister, Rosemary WACKERLY; two brothers, L.H. LOCKHART and Hoppy LOCKHART; and his parents.

Funeral services for Margaret Ellen ALSTON, 83, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 11 a.m., Friday, at Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church in Fort Smith, with Rev. Don Hutchings officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Ark., under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. She was born on Oct. 15, 1920, in Ozark, to Bailey JOHNSON and Leather JOHNSON. She died on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at her home. She married Sherman Mart ALSTON in 1939. Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine; four sons, Jimmy, Curtis, Donnell and Sherman; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy, Betty and Laura Mae; two brothers, Nathaniel and Floyd; one brother-in-law, George; daughters-in-law, Omega, Mary Ann, and Mary; and one sister-in-law, Deloise. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services for Col. USA Ret. Billy Wayne BYRD, of Falls Church, Va., formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at noon, Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at the First Christian Church, 2723 King St., Alexandria, Va. Burial with full Military Honors will be at 3 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Va. He was born on Oct. 22, 1924, in Sallisaw, to Bill and Alta (SUMPTER) BYRD. He died on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Bell BYRD; one daughter Adrianne (Hugh); two sisters, Rosalie (Wayne) and Donna Ann (Robert); three grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ramona. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth BYRD; his parents; and one brother, Clifton BYRD.
Minnie Ruth DRAIN CRAWFORD, 64, of Bunch, Okla. died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, in Winona, Miss. She was a homemaker. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Bunch Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; four daughters, Donna, Tammy, Tori, and Angela; six sons, Charles, Eddie, Wyatt, Eric, Dusty and Kenneth Jr.,; a sister, Wilma; two brothers, Jack and Donald; 30 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Mary Lou FLOYD, 83, of Blackwell. are being held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at First Baptist Church Worship Center in Ponca City, with Rev. Russell Aday officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery at 4 p.m. northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. She was born on May 6, 1933, in Ontario, Calif. to John and Ethel JARVIS CHASTAIN. She died on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in the Blackwell Nursing Home. She married Dale FLOYD on Sept. 6, 1953, in Tahlequah. Survivors include her husband of 50 years Dale FLOYD; two sons, Michael Dale, Mark and Nadine, two grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Annabelle; two brothers, John and Jim; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services for Mildred J. GRAY, 81, of Arkoma, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in Sallisaw, to Robert Fletcher PAYNE and Minnie Ann Grace PAYNE. She died on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in Pocola. She married Donald Burke GRAY on April 4, 1952, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death in March of 1991. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Billy MUNCY.
Funeral services for Catherine Beatrice HAGGARD MOORE, 86, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark., with burial in Dripping Springs Cemetery near Van Buren, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kay; two sons, Rex Dale and Donald Ed; three sisters, Lois, Nancy and Earnestine; one brother, Charles; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted HAGGARD.
Graveside services for Aileen CHEELY PORTERFIELD, 72, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Sallisaw City Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Spyres officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on July 14, 1931, in Mulberry, Ark., to James CHEELY and Essie (BREWER) CHEELY. She died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Louisville. She married Henry Lee PORTERFIELD on Aug. 28, 1948, in Arvin, Calif. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1986. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Craig and Brenda and Donnie; two sons, Larry and Shawn and Stephen and Beth; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bertha SHAW, 92, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with Rev. Jason Helmbacher officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Woodland, Calif., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on July 8, 1911, in Denton, Texas, to John A. STARNES and Geneva (CHALK) STARNES. She died on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Faye; one son, Bill; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Green BOLINGER in 1963 and her second husband, Frank SHAW in 1991; two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services for John William "Bill" WEESE, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Church of the Nazarene in Sallisaw, with Revs. Jerry Townley, Harold Rodebush and Freddie Howard officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He married Imogene PALMER on April 7, 1945, in Dyer, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Imogene WEESE of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Billy and Larry; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Donna; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Scott, Raymond, Jessie Boots and Ralph. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Louise HAWKINS and Georgia Ann WEESE.
