Funeral services for Anna Christine ROGERS "Chris" BORDELON, 65, of LaPlace, La., formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Blunt Baptist Church in Sallisaw with Revs. Rod Aguillard and Steven Aguillard officiating. Burial is in Drake Stand Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BORDELON was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Sallisaw, to Earl ROGERS and Geneva ROGERS. She died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in LaPlace. Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" BORDELON of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Missy and Allen, and Melanie and Greg; one son, James, III and Rachel; one sister, Velma; five brothers, Vearl Dean, Wilburn, Garland, Hubert and Roy; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marshall and Arland ROGERS.
Funeral services for Franklin Edward DURKEE, 69, formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Guthrie, under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home of Guthrie. Mr. DURKEE was born Jan. 23, 1938, in Bristow, to Edgar Phillip "Ed" DURKEE and Patricia Ruth (CHAPMAN) "Patsy" DURKEE. He died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007. Survivors include his wife, Susan Rose (DISTLER) DURKEE; son, Franklin Edward, and wife, Alison Dean, five grandchildren; son, Robert Phillip, and his wife, Melissa,; daughter, Kelly Ruth; and his sister, Gwen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Martha Lee STONE, 75, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lakewood South Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park South, under the direction of Lakewood South Funeral Home. Mrs. STONE was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Short, to Hughie and Leather STEELEY. She died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, in Ridgeland, Mo. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Harold M. STONE of Jackson; her daughter, Sharon and her husband, Victor; her son, Ray and his wife, Emmy; two grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and his wife, Joyce, and H. T. , Jr. and his wife, Margaret; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial is in Tom Girty Cemetery, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. ALEXANDER was born Nov. 4, 1916, in Webbers Falls, to Tom and Jennie (CRAPO) GIRTY. She died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Muskogee. She married Dan ALEXANDER, March 1, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2000. Survivors include her son, Pat and Cynthia; daughter, Patsy and Bo; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.

Burial was in Muldrow Memory Garden, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BONE was born June 7, 1917, in Moyers, to Lyman Lee HAWS and Josephine (LAWSON) HAWS. She died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Charles Edward "Chuck" BONE. He preceded her in death, Jan. 20, 2000 in Fort Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Reta; three granddaughters; one grandson; five great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.

Burial with military honors was in the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. Mr. Hale died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth HALE; two sons, Patrick and his wife, Nancy, and Jeffrey and his wife, Tammy; his mother, Evelyn; one sister, Becky; brother, Rick and his wife, Ann, of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren; and nephew, Randy and his wife, Lisa. He was preceded in death by his father, William HALE, and one sister, Merky (HALE) MARTIN.

Burial was in Simon Issac Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler. Mr. JAMES was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Bokoshe, to Daniel Webster and Della (GOSS) JAMES. He died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Muskogee. Survivors include his companion, Juliana; two sons, Mark Daniel and wife, Tatty, and William and his wife, Lisa; two sisters, Helen and Mary; one brother, J.B.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles JAMES, Ralph JAMES, Robert Stanley JAMES and Richard JAMES.

Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. LONG was born Oct. 19, 1940. She died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include Raymond LONG; one daughter, Melissa; one son, David; two sisters, Schlene. and Leesa; one brother, Garrett Loel; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchilden.

Private burial was under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Mr. MASTERSON was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Sallisaw, to Frank and Lena (WODS) MASTERSON. He died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. He married Margaret R. RAMOS, Sept. 5, 1964, in Bloomington, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Margaret MASTERSON of the home; son, Frank; one step-son, Ken and his wife, Lil; step-daughter, Charlotte and her husband, Mike; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one niece, Caroline. He was preceded in death by his his first wife, El Nora DOTSON, one daughter, Nelda CASEY, his step-mother, Ole MASTERSON, and three brothers.
Artie Earlene PALLO, 74, of Sallisaw, died on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. PALLO was born July 16, 1933, in Booneville, Miss., to Dock Lee MERRIMAN and Vivian (JONES) MERRIMAN. She died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sisters, Ruby and Aletha; one brother, Bobby; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul PALLO, parents and one sister, Virginia UKES.

Burial will be in Box Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale. Mrs. ROBINSON was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Sallisaw, to Alex and Virgie (PRUITT) WILES. She died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in Springdale. Survivors include two sons, Kenny and his wife, Tanya, and Randall and fiance, Amber; mother, Virgie WILES; two brothers, Ronnie and Tom; two sisters, Carolyn and Freida; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Johnny WILES.
Velma G. TAYLOR of Sallisaw, Oklahoma was born April 06, 1919 in Denton, Texas to Jasper Clayton and Minnie Holt GRIFFITHS and passed away December 02, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 88. She is survived by; Two daughters: Gwen & her husband Gary, Brenda & her husband Mel; Two sons; Barney Delano & Jean, Stratton & his wife Carolyn; One sister: Vivian; 10 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Owen B. Burial is in Muldrow Memory Gardens, under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home of Tulsa. Mr. BEARCE was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Clyde Olen and Katherine Marie (RAGSDALE) BEARCE. He died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in Tulsa. He married Annetta BAGLEY, Sept. 6, 1963, in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Annetta; one uncle, Dale; and several cousins and many nieces and nephews.

She died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in Sallisaw. She married Donald BOYD in 1957, in Tahlequah. He preceded her in death, Oct. 26, 1992, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Francis; one granddaughter; one grandson; one great-grandson; one sister, Ruby; and one brother, T.J. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Mr. HASTINGS was born to Charles Clark Hastings and Anna M. Garman HASTINGS on July 6, 1921, in Gans. He married Nyla Fern OLIVER on Sept. 26, 1942, in Stilwell. He is survived by his wife, Fern, of the home; two daughters, Nyla and Sue, one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jo Ellen; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. BENNETT was born March 10, 1941, in Stoney Point, to William Cody Bennett and Retta (BROWN) BENNETT. He died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, in Tahlequah. He married Doris Nell, Sept. 10, 1966, in Blackgum. Survivors include his wife, Doris BENNETT of the home; two step-children, Karen and Larry; mother, Retta BENNETT; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Liane, Gail, Martha, and Paula; three brothers, Joe, David and James V.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Edith TOUNZEN GIPSON, 88, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with Revs. Jerry Copeland and Al Ruckman officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery, north of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. GIPSON was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Stilwell, to Elsworth Harvey WHITESIDE and Mary (TOON) WHITESIDE. She died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy; two sons, Don and Robert; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Wilma; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Hyman TOUNZEN, second husband, Henry GIPSON, one daughter, Virginia TOUNZEN; and one son, Ronald TOUNZEN.
Funeral services for Cleavie HIXON, 88, of London, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Shinn Chapel in Russellville, Ark. with Rev. Daniel Green officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, in Russellville, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Mrs. HIXON was born May 14, 1919, in Hartman, Ark., to Rasa Allison and Sylvania (HUBBARD) REED. She died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, in Atkins Care Center. Survivors include four sons, William, Dennis, Stan and Jack; two daughters, Patsy. and Claudell; one brother, Boyd; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Claude HIXSON, two sons, Larry and R.A. HIXON; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services for Dr. Truman Lee HUDSON, 72, of Duncan, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Duncan. Burial was in Duncan Cemetery, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home of Duncan. Dr. HUDSON was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Alma, Ark., to Henry D. and Gertrude HUDSON. He died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Tulsa. He married Jean GRAHAM in 1955. Survivors include four children, Robbie and his wife, Dianne, Jean Ann and her husband, Dr. Brad, Shelly and her husband, Dan, Dr. Michael Paul and his wife, Lisa; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ilene HUDSON BUMPAS, and brothers, Donald and Wallis HUDSON.
Funeral services for Felix Vaughan TAYLOR, 70, of Sallisaw, are being held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw with Revs. Tommy Hawkins and Azle Loyd and Butch Lamb officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. TAYLOR was born Jan. 26, 1937, in Akins, to Felix George TAYLOR and Virginia Catherine (ROGERS) TAYLOR. He died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jennifer; three step-children, Brenda and her husband, Ernie, Glenda, and David; seven grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Darlene, and Linda and Butch; one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Donna; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends; and three special friends and caregivers, Abby, Ricky and Jessie. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Keefe TAYLOR.
Funeral services for Owen L. WOODWARD, 89, of Atlanta, Mo., were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta with Bro. Ross Thompson officiating. A Masonic service was held and burial with full military honors was held at LaPlata Cemetery, under the direction of Elliott Funeral Home of Atlanta. Mr. WOODWARD was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Hanson, to Welborn and Annah (SUTTON) WOODWARD. He died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in Macon, Mo. He married Marybelle ASHBELLE, Aug. 14, 1948, in Kirksville, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Marybelle ASHBY; three daughters, Garnita and her friend, Randy, Twila and her husband, Dick, and Jana and her husband, Steve; one grandson; two sisters, Vern and Betty; brother, Watie; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Vivian, Flossie NEAL and Leola CHEEK of Sallisaw, brothers, Euel, Aubrey, Ray and Fay of Tulsa and Johnnie of Hanson.
