Graveside services for Dianne ANDERSON, 62, of Braggs were held at 11 a.m. Monday at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs with the Rev. Kenneth Byrd officiating under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. ANDERSON was born on March 25, 1948, in Orange, Texas to Charlie Lee and Gladys Faye (SONIER) McCARVER. She died on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Tulsa. Mrs. ANDERSON was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a grandmother and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a big fan of Tweety Bird. She married Gabby ANDERSON in Texas. Survivors include her husband, Gabby of the home; daughters, LeeJay ECKHARDT and husband, George ECKHARDT III of Webbers Falls and Peggy TYLER of McCloud; stepson, Ricky ANDERSON and wife, Vanessa of Okay; mother, Gladys MARTIN of Lumberton, Texas; sister, Belinda JAMES and husband, Tony of Lumberton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Mary Ellen McGEE and brother, Charles Lee McCARVER
Larry Buzz FREDERICK of Sallisaw was born March 21, 1938, in Chickasha to R.E. and Alene (LaGRANGE) FREDERICK Jr. and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Jewel FREDERICK of the home; three daughters, Terry GREEN and husband, Richard of Sallisaw, Vicki CALLISON and husband Gary, of Chickasha and Jeanne WILLIGE and husband Robert of Park Hill; two sons, Steve FREDERICK and wife Pearl, of Baldknob, Ark., and Donnie FREDERICK and wife Misty, of Vian; one brother, David D. WOOSTER of Oklahoma City; two brothers-in-law, GRADY and Jimmy CHAMBERS; 12 grandchildren, Derek FREDERICK, Angela CARPENTER, Jeremy NANCE, Joshua NANCE, Justin NANCE, Timothy NANCE, Ryan WILLIGE, Stephanie WILLIGE, Lacie FREDERICK, LeAnna FREDERICK, Emily FREDERICK, Shawn ROTERT and Tisha COBLE; eight great-grandchildren, Braden AUSTIN, Gadge FREDERICK, Parker FREDERICK, Paige FREDERICK, Lily Elizabeth NANCE, Mayson COBLE, Jaxon ROTERT and Kaleb ROTERT; 13 nieces and nephews, Jack and Johnny FREDERICK, Darrin, Cary and Michael CHAMBERS, Chris, Billy, Richard and Wade CHAMBERS Jr., Stacy PALMER, Lavette TAYLOR, Lene TURNER and Kimberly CRILLY; and numerous great-nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chickasha, Carpenters Union, Optimist Club and Blackgum VFD. He loved to fish, do woodwork, cooking, Barbecue and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, Keagan COBLE, one sister, Patsy June FREDERICK, one brother, Billy Edward FREDERICK, one niece, Tracy CARPENTER, two nephews, Greg and Garol Don CHAMBERS, and one brother-in-law, Wade CHAMBERS. Funeral services for Madge PRUITT GABBARD, 86, of Sallisaw were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Agent Chapel in Salllisaw. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. GABBARD was born on Jan. 24, 1924, in Fort Smith, Ark., to William S. PRUITT and Katie Jane (PARKER) PRUITT. She died on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Lawton. She was a homemaker. She married Arla LeRoy GABBARD on Feb. 7, 1948, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2005. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne COOK of Fletcher and Cassandra STONE of Lawton, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Glenda GABBARD of Elgin; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Patrick GABBARD and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for James Edward HARDEN, 92, of Sallisaw were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Revs. Jerry Copeland and Carney Duncan officiating. Burial was at the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HARDEN was born on June 29, 1918, in Sallisaw to James Haggard HARDEN and Victoria Texas (ROBERSON) HARDEN. He died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Sallisaw. He was self employed and worked on small engines. He married Opal Juanita RIGGS on May 8, 1937, in Sequoyah County. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2006. Survivors include five daughters, June REESE, Barbara ENYART, Martha ELY and Joan MILLER, all of Sallisaw and Eva WOOD of Tulsa; two sons, Jim HARDEN of Broken Arrow and Ike HARDEN of Sallisaw; one brother, Kenneth HARDEN of Vian; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Ann HARDEN, one granddaughter, and one daughter-in-law, Beth HARDEN. Pallbearers were Kenny Reese, Leroy Reese, Chriss Reese, Mark Reese, Tommy Morgan, Jason Ely, Robert Harden, Brandon Harden, James Harden, Shane Wood, Blake Reese, Bobby Reese and Greg Reese.
Don Ray KIEST of Sallisaw was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Homer, Ill., to Luther and Edith (BEAR) KIEST and passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in Sallisaw at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife, Janice of the home; three sons, David KIEST and his wife, Diane of Mahomet, Ill., Mike KIEST and his wife, Ann of Sallisaw and Tim KIEST and his wife, Lori of Burns, Tenn.; two sisters, Gypsy BECK of Broken Arrow and Billie JONES and her husband, Chuck of Belvedere, Ill.; one brother, Dean KIEST and his wife, Shirley of Charlotte, Tenn.; six granddaughters, Tosha WRLDH, Stacy CAROLAN, Sarah DYER, Tara, Amanda and Jamie KIEST; four great-granddaughters; and one step great-great-grandson. Don was a member of Blue Ribbon Fellowship Chapel. He was a jockey, then a trainer and always a horseman. He was employed as a race official at Blue Ribbon Downs for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Allan KIEST. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Funeral services for H.L. Fay VANN, 71, of Short were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Short with the Rev. Richard Pickup officiating. Burial was at Seabolt Cemetery north of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. Vann was born on Nov. 22, 1939, in Short to Frank VANN and Mina (SPEIR) VANN. He died on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He retired from Baldor Electric Company after 35 years. He married Joyce Kathryn HEARD on Feb. 28, 1959, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Joyce VANN of the home; three daughters, Becky WOFFORD and Christy RICHARD, both of Fort Smith and Teresa VANN of Corpus Christi, Texas; three brothers, Dayton VANN of Muldrow, Ralph VANN of Sallisaw and Jack VANN of Indiana; three sisters, Retha BERNARD, Sandra STAMPS and Mary Lou VANN, all of Muldrow; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Tyler Blaylock, Barrett Blaylock, Donnie Bernard, John Richard, Frankie Stamps, Timmy Stamps, Gene Saylors and Ronnie Carpenter.
Funeral services for E. Claire WATSON, 94, of Bartlesville are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Thomas Corrigan officiating. Burial is at Fleetwood Cemetery, east of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. WATSON was born on May 5, 1916, in Woonsocket, R.I., to Fritz OSBERG and Lillian (DUNSE) OSBERG. She died on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in McKinney, Texas. She was an Oklahoma public school teacher. She retired from the Ramona Schools in 1978. She married Samuel Benton WATSON on July 31, 1946, in Quincy, Mass. Survivors include one son, Samuel WATSON of McKinney; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Lillian CHENEY and one brother, Norman OSBERG.

Funeral services for Opal Carolyn COCKRELL, 71, of Sallisaw will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will be at the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. COCKRELL was born on April 6, 1939, in Gore to Marco DiGIACINTO and Bernice (SIMMONS) DiGIACINTO. She died on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include her husband, Franklin of the home; two daughters, Deborah POWERS of Garland, Texas and Susan SNYDER of Perry; two sons, Richard COCKRELL of Fargo, N.D., and Mike EPPLER of Curacao; her mother, of Sallisaw; one sister, Linda EGGLESTON of Sallisaw; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Patricia RICHARDSON and one brother, Rudy DiGIACINTO. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hamilton, Clint Owens, Ryan Reynolds, Lance Montgomery, James Webb, Joseph Webb, John Huffman and Robert Harris.
Funeral services for Hubert V. Sonny FANNING, 80, of Spiro were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel with Mr. Tom Pat Swofford officiating. Burial was at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Mr. FANNING was born on Sept. 19, 1930, in Marlow to Hubert Dan FANNING and Elva (KILGORE) FANNING. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, in Spiro. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a long standing member of the Murrow Masonic Lodge No. 44, Belle Point Masonic Lodge No. 20, Western Arkansas Scottish Rite and Bedouin Shrine of Muskogee. He was also a member of the VFW and the NRA. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Irene FANNING of the home; two daughters, Julie FANNING BROWN and husband, Johnny of Muldrow and Bonnie HARRIS of Bokoshe; one brother, Sam FANNING and wife, Harriet of Yantis, Texas; several grandchildren; and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Masons of Murrow Lodge No. 49 of Spiro.

Lorraine Opal BAKERINK, 84, of Sallisaw died on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born on May 27, 1926, in San Bernadino, Calif., to Donald Chester BAKERINK and Thelma Mae (DILGER) BAKERINK. No formal services are planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was a retired engineer. Survivors include two sisters, Betty MODARY of California and Sheri HILL of Nevada; one brother, John BAKERINK of California; an adopted sister, Karen Lea ROBINSON; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Shirley FRETWELL, one brother, Don BAKERINK and her adopted mother, Erma CRAWFORD.
Leon GRUSSENDORF, 87, of Sallisaw died on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, in Sallisaw. He was born on June 2, 1923, in Childers, Texas. Private family services are being held and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He married Bernice Marie GRUSSENDORF on May 6, 1941, in Oklahoma City. She preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2002. Survivors include five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dorothene COLE HOWELL, 79, of Booker, Texas, formerly of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Green officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. HOWELL was born on April 15, 1931, in Muldrow to Elmer COLE and Artie (WOODWARD) COLE. She died on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, in Perryton, Texas. She was a dietary cook at a nursing home. She married Fred Joe HOWELL on Jan. 21, 1950, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda GARTON of Muldrow and Tracy THOMPSON of Tulsa; two sons, Danny HOWELL of Spearman, Texas and Tim HOWELL of Midland, Texas; one sister, Maurita COLE STATON of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son Steven Joe HOWELL, her parents and two brothers, Bobby Joe and Harvey Lee COLE. Pallbearers are Brian Howell, Bruce Howell, Rodney Howell, Shea Garton, Brennan Jordan and Casey Long.
Ima Dee CALHOUN JACKSON was born and raised in Oklahoma but has spent the last 29 years in Bakersfield, Calif. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Foster JACKSON; five children, Berna BURT and husband, Lonnie, Gary Foster JACKSON and wife, Christina, Randy JACKSON and wife, Rosalind, and Jackie Lynn JACKSON; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice LOPER, Wilburta AKAM and Jeanie SANDERS; and by an abundance of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Ima was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Jane CHANDLER; brothers, Patrick CALHOUN and J.C. CALHOUN; sisters, Marilyn WILEY, Ardith PRATT and Nadine MIDDLETON. Even though we were not ready to say goodbye, you will live in our hearts and memories forever as you have touched all our lives in a special way. Mr. ALLTUS was born on Sept. 3, 1952, in Modesto, Calif., to Vern Wilburn ALLTUS and Faith Maxine (FREDRICKS) ALLTUS. He died on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a general laborer. He married Connie Marie POULSON on May 11, 1974, in California. Mrs. BUKOWSKI was born on April 8, 1942, in Pocola to Cooper BARNES and Ruby (MARTIN) BARNES. She died on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Gore.She was a legal secretary. She married Lawrence Peter BUKOWSKI on Sept. 26, 1964, in Santa Rosa, Calif. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2008. Survivors include one daughter, Leslie BUKOWSKI of Waxahachie, Texas; one son, Lance BUKOWSKI of Webbers Falls; two brothers, Leon BARNES of Cameron and Coy BARNES of Pocola; and three grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Travis and Bob BARNES.
Clara HONEYCUTT of Tulsa was born on May 9, 1941, in Sallisaw to William B. and Margaret (LEONARD) YOUNG and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, in Tulsa at the age of 69. She is survived by her husband, Charley of the home; one daughter, Carol HENRY and husband Michael, of Tulsa two sons, Charley Alan HONEYCUTT and wife, Cheryl and David HONEYCUTT and wife Whitney, all of Sand Springs; two sisters, Velma PARKER of Midway, Tenn., and Marie JONES of Sallisaw; one brother, Robert YOUNG of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Dalton, Josh, Justin, Gary, Brandi and Kamryn; and two great-grandchildren, Christian and Maddy. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, C.B. and Danny YOUNG. She loved to fish, travel, picnic and spend time with grandkids and family. Mrs. REYNOLDS was born on Feb. 23, 1931, in Hope, Ark., to Ezra Thomas MARTIN and Mary Dale SELLS. She died on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, in Roland. She was the former owner and operator of the Sequoyah Theater and worked at Sequoyah Welcome Center. She married Jay REYNOLDS on Dec. 18, 1948, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Sue REYNOLDS WAMPLER of Blanchard; two sisters, Billie Jean McBRIDE of Tulsa and Lou MATTOX of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Barbara REYNOLDS-HICKMAN, one son, Freddie REYNOLDS, one sister, Pauline ROSS, and a grandchild. to Bobby Harold SCOTT Sr. and Nora Belle JONES HAYES. He died on Wednesday,
Dec. 8,, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a welder for Matrix of Catoosa.
He married Jennifer Deshaun TAYLOR on July 23, 2004, in Fort Smith. Survivors
include his wife, Jennifer SCOTT of the home; two daughters, Shyanne SCOTT
of Sallisaw and Jacelyn SCOTT of Muldrow; one son, Shilo SCOTT of Sallisaw;
his father, of Monroe, S.C.; his mother, of Sallisaw; one sister, Terri WILLIAMS

Eugene SUTTERFIELD, 81, of Vian died on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in Sallisaw. He was born on May 26, 1929 in Vian to Tom SUTTERFIELD and Annie (BURRIS) SUTTERFIELD. No formal service is planned. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was retired as a self-employed welder. Survivors include one daughter, Belinda Ann SUTTERFIELD; seven sons, Dale Wayne SUTTERFIELD, David Ray SUTTERFIELD, Darrell Lee SUTTERFIELD, Donald Dewayne SUTTERFIELD, Dallas Norman SUTTERFIELD, Douglas Eugene SUTTERFIELD and Damon Mac SUTTERFIELD; three sisters, Barbara JAMES of Sallisaw, Essie HYLE of Enid and May HOLT of Temple, Texas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel and second wife, Thelma and seven children, Deloris Jean, Delavern Dean, Stona Marie, Dennis Keith, Donnia Deniece, Danny Eugene and Brian Keith SUTTERFIELD.
Raymond Lynn WYLIE of Forney, Texas passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Sunnyvale, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on June 29, 1942, in Muldrow to the late Raymond and Leona (COLLINS) WYLIE. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Muldrow.

Mrs. CARTER was born on March 9, 1933, in Hickory to Simeon CHANDLER and Avis (PRICE) CHANDLER. She died on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. She was a cattle rancher. She married Ralph Rudolph CARTER on Oct. 2, 1948, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2002. Survivors include two daughters, Neve LENLEY of Gore and Shelia FRAZIER of Warner; one sister, Patsy NORRIS of Atkins, Ark.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marian Dell CARTER, her parents, one sister, Irene MENDENHALL and four brothers, Simeon Jr., Ambrose, J.C. and Glen Doy CHANDLER.

She died on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Anita TILLMAN and Betty HEUSTIS, both of Jacksonville; one son, Bud DUNCANn of Fort Worth, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Teddy Dollar Bill HOLLAND, 72, of Muldrow, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. HOLLAND died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, in Muldrow. Mr. HOLLAND was a retired auto parts salesman for Rhodes Chevrolet. He attended St. Johns Methodist Church was a graduate of Van Buren High School class of 1957 and was a member of the Marine Reserves. Survivors include two sons, Richard HOLLAND of Van Buren and Theron HOLLAND of Muldrow; two sisters, Lillian BREWER of Cedarville, Ark., and Mary Beth HOUGHTON of Tacoma, Wash.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Adalene Katherine Abby WALKER was born June 29, 1921, in McAlester, the daughter of James FRANKLIN and Lela Mae (WRIGHT) FRANKLIN. She married Mathiel Merle WALKER on Oct. 16, 1941, in Texas. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2002, in Fort Smith. Mrs. WALKER passed this life on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Merle and Boyd, and Catherine Louise; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Services area being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Lance Nelson officiating. Burial is at Fleetwood Cemetery east of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
