Graveside services for Nannie Orene (JOHNSON) TURNER  CRABTREE, 80, of Cushing are being held at 1:30 p.m.. Wednesday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing with the Rev. Bill Shaw officiating.   Mrs. CRABTREE  was born June 27, 1917, in Macomb to Martin E. and Eva (ESCOE) JOHNSON. She died  Feb. 8, 1998, in Sallisaw.  She married Dave CRABTREE.  He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1993.  Survivors include one daughter, Jerry Ann; one son, Theldon D.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma  and Sybil; and many other family and friends.  Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Cushing.  

Graveside services for Opal FLETCHER, 92, of Vian were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Services of Webbers Falls. Mrs. FLETCHER was born Nov. 20, 1905, in Stonewall, Indian Territory, to Henry Rice FLETCHER and Laura Ellen (WEBB) FLETCHER. She died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, in Vian. Survivors include one nephew, Howard.

Funeral services for Hazel Mae GILES, 77, Sallisaw, formerly of Long Beach, Calif., are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, with Dr. J. D. Ward officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Calif.
Mrs. GILES was born May 21, 1920, in Drumright, to Charles Lee NEWMAN and Maude Odessie (WILSON) NEWMAN. She died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, in Sallisaw. She married Orville Charles GILES March 23, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl and Joseph, and Pam and Bob; six grandchildren.

Funeral services for A. C. KIRK, 83, of Braggs are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at South Bethel Cemetery Chapel in Braggs, with he Rev. Kenneth Hayes officiating. Burial is in South Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. Kirk was born March 22, 1914, in Braggs to Cyrus and Ocie (FRYAR) KIRK. He died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in Gore. He married Doffie RIGGS IRVING in July 1935. She preceded him in death in 1988. Survivors include one step-son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Wands; four grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, C. R. and Wanda; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. KIRK was also preceded in death by one step-son Albert Joe IRVING in 1949, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for Hattie Mae LITTLE, 89, of Gans were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Bro. Lynn Stringfellow officiating. Burial was in Fleetwood Cemetery, east of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. LITTLE was born Nov. 24, 1908, in Cleveland, Ark., to Mike and Tennessee Virginia (FREEMAN) BENEDICT. She died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at her home. She married J. S. LITTLE Sept. 16, 1927, in Okemah. He preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1981. Survivors include three daughters, Adeline, Mary, and Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leona and Pauline. Mrs. LITTLE was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois HOFFMAN, one brother, Elmo BENEDICT, and one granddaughter, Brandi DAY. Her son, John LITTLE of Wagoner died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998. His funeral was held Tuesday in Wagoner.

Graveside services for Joshua LOCUST Sr., 88, of Vian are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCoy Cemetery in Evening Shade, with the Rev. Crosslin Smith officiating. Mr. LOCUST was born Jan. 21, 1910, in Cherokee County, to George and Sarah (HENDRICK) LOCUST. He died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in Gore. Survivors include two sons, Tom and Joshua Jr.; five daughters, Ida, Hope, Nannie, Dessie, and Lillian; one sister, Luella; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mr. LOCUST was preceded in death by two wives, Lucy (BEAVERS) LOCUST and Annie (STEALER) LOCUST, one son, George LOCUST, two daughters, Elsie GIRTY and Debbie Sue LOCUST and two brothers, Joe LOCUST and Sam HOTHOUSE. Arrangements are under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.

Funeral services for Loyd Allen MATLOCK, 84, of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with the Revs. Mark Merrill and Ted Brown officiating. Burial is in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. MATLOCK was born April 28, 1913, in Stroud, to Robert and Sarah (BROYLES) MATLOCK. He died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Viola Mae TROUT Feb. 27, 1933, in Bristow. Survivors include his wife, Viola MATLOCK of the home; two daughters, Ina Mae and Margie; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one brother, Ben.

Funeral services for Alton L. PRICE, 72, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wheeler's Candlelight Chapel in Sallisaw, with Kevin Courtney officiating. Burial was in Rocky Point Cemetery, under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. PRICE was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Sallisaw, to Ottus and Beulah (HADLOW) PRICE. He died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, in the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. Survivors include two sons, Michael and Dennis; one brother, Harold; three sisters, Irene, Roxie and Lucille; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joe Ray SWANNER, 74, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. SWANNER was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Winnsboro, Texas, to Buster J. SWANNER and Myrtle Lee (SUTTON) SWANNER. He died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at his home. He married Delores WRIGHT July 5, 1974, in Westville. Survivors include his wife, Delores SWANNER of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Donna; one step-son, Mike; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley and Betty; and three brothers, Devon, Charles and Arlond.

Graveside services for Grace Bunia TABOR, 74, of Euclid, Ohio, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Liberty Cemetery, north of Roland, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. TABOR was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Akins, to Wiley W. LINGERFELT and Susie (FLOYD) LINGERFELT.. She died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, in Euclid. She married Vern Ira TABOR in Los Angeles, Calif. He preceded her in death June 11, 19786. Survivors include three daughters, Darlean, Lois and Mary; four sons, Charles, James, Eddy and David; two sisters, Jackie and Doris; and several grandchildren.

Graveside services for Frankie Lee YOUNG Jr., 41, of Sallisaw are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brushy Cemetery, with he Rev. Harold Wilkins officiating. Mr. Young was born July 23, 156, in Oakland, Calif., to Frankie Lee YOUNG Sr. and Velda June (BARNETT) GIBBINS. He died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in Fort Smith Ark. Survivors include four sons, Frankie Lee 3rd, Phillip Andrew, David Eugene and Brandon Lee; his parents, James Carl and Velda June; his father, Frankie Lee Sr.; three sisters, Virginia Marie, Linda Sue, and Laurie June; four brothers David Paul, Steven Carl, James Carl, Jonathan Eugene; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Bess Mae FOLLOWELL INGLE, 97, of Sallisaw are being held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. INGLE was born July 19, 1900, near Willowford, Arkansas, to John and Sarah Jane MORRIS FOLLOWELL. She died Thursday, February 19, 1998, in Sallisaw. Her family moved to eastern Oklahoma in 1904 when she was 4 years old. She married Judge Richard Otto "R.O." INGLE November 25, 1917 beside a wagon in LeFlore County.  He preceded her in death November 7, 1980. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Katherine, one granddaughter; Kathy; one grandson, Bob, Three great-grandchildren,Steve, Tim and Bruce; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister Virgie; and several nieces, including Nellie, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs INGLE was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Otis INGLE in 1961.

Funeral services for Arlen KECK, 83 of Fort Smith, Arkansas, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, with his son, David and the Rev. Clifton Daggs, officiating. Burial was in U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Mr KECK was born May 18, 1914, to John and Elvie KECK. He died Wednesday, February 18, 1998. A retired minister with the Assembly of God Church. He was known as the "Tall Country Boy" for KWHN Gospel Radio Staton for 48 years. Survivors include his wife Lucy B. GANN KECK, a son, David A ; two brothers, his twin Arvel and Ray; one sister, Leona; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Keck was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Raymond, Cline, Lonnie, and Dayton, and one sister Lola.

Funeral services for Arthur Franklin ALEXANDER, 79, of Sallisaw are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Bro. Royce Martin and Bro. Danny Wood officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. ALEXANDER was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Schlater, Miss., to Hollis Seldon ALEXANDER and Katie Helen (HEPLER) ALEXANDER. He died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, in Springfield, Tenn. He married Mealese OVERMAN Nov. 1, 1940, in Hernando, Miss. She preceded him in death June 4, 1992. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and James; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Fred Hepler.

Memorial services for Larry Allen BYROM, 45, of Marble City are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Marble City Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sherron BYROM of the home; three step-daughters, Tanya, Deanna and Renda; one stepson, Aaron; two sisters, Christie and Mary; two brothers, Jerry and James; and six grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark.

Funeral services for the Rev. John Calvin CARLILE, 84, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Vian, with he Revs. Larry Miller and Joe Powell officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Rev. CARLILE was born March 13, 1913, in Center Valley, Ark., to James and Dollie (GIBSON) CARLILE. He died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, in Muskogee. He married Ethel EVERSOLE Dec. 28, 1940, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death March 7, 1995. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebekah and D. K., and Ruth and Thomas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mamie and Ocie.

Funeral services for Edmon CULWELL, 75, of Bokoshe are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Bokoshe, with the Revs. Horace Sprouse and Lynn Bullard officiating. burial, with full military honors, is in Milton Cemetery, west of Bokoshe, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. CULWELL was born April 28, 1922, in Bokoshe, to Burch and Bell (NIXON) CULWELL. He died Feb. 22, 1998, at his home. He married Helen Ozeal STINNETT May 18, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Ozeal CULWELL of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Gary, and Ann and Carl; two sons and Daughters-in-law, Larry and Lou, and Jerry and Leah; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Roy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Etta Faye (STOCKTON) FURGERSON, 59, of Magalia, Calif., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Muldrow. Mrs. FURGERSON died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at her home. Survivors include four sons, Christopher, Alan, Tracy and Darren; one sister Marcia; two aunts, Aline and Fern;

Funeral services for Emery David HENRY, 80, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Lee Killer and Dwain Houston officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. HENRY was born July 30, 1917, in Gans, to James S. HENRY and Minnie (STEVENSON) HENRY. He died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Hazel Inez BRUNK Oct. 31, 1937, in Gans. She preceded him in death Nov. 3, 1996. Survivors include two sons, David and Hubert Dale; one daughter, Louise; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest; and four sisters, Annabelle, Edith, Erdie and Elsie.

Graveside service for Bennett "Cowboy" MOORE, 62, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Brushy Cemetery. Mr. MOORE died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jody MOORE of the home; six daughters, Janice, Shannon, Martha, Destiney, Pamela and Polly; two sons, Jessie and David; five sisters, Nancy, Birty, Frances, Margaret and Rosella; four brothers, Gemes, Jimmy, Frank, and Burley; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. MOORE was preceded in death by one son, Bennett Junior MOORE. Arrangements were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Funeral services for Cecil TUCK Sr., 72, of Roland were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial was in Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Mr. TUCK died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Lola of the home; four daughters, Carolyn, Kathy, Connie, and Cindy; two sons, Cecil Jr. and Jackie; two brothers, Jay G. and D. T.; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Glenn G. WHITMER, 72, of Lake Eufaula were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Eufaula First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Gibbens officiating. Mr. WHITMER was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Arkoma, to Clem and Fannie (ALLEN) WHITMER. He died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Velma FEARS Dec. 22, 1946, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Velma WHITMER of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Alan and Sherry, and Daryl and Alicia; one sister, Margaret; two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Mr. WHITMER was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Millard WHITMER, and one sister, Nellie KUHN. Arrangements were under the direction of Black's Funeral Home of Eufaula.
