Funeral services for Woodrow Lee BRUCE, 53, of Van Buren, Ark., formerly of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.   Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in LeFlore County, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.  Survivors include his wife, Shirley BRUCE of Van Buren; four daughters, Shirley, Sarah, Janie and Angel; five sons, Woodrow Lee Jr., Terry Wayne, James Edward , Davey Lee and Stevie Lee; his step-father, Carl McCOY; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Howard PHILLIPS; three brothers, Bobby Gene, Charles and Jay J.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dora Leah (THOMAS) CREWS, 92,  of Gore were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Millsap Funeral Chapel in Webbers Falls, with the Rev. Glen Cox officiating.  Burial was in White Cemetery in Gore, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service in Webbers Falls.  Mrs. CREWS was born March 26, 1906, in Gore, to John and Mary Belle (TYNER) CARTER.  She died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999. at the Gore Nursing Home.  Survivors include three daughters, Mildred, Lucy and Lois; and one son, James "Buzz"; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.   Mrs. CREWS was preceded in death by her husband, John THOMAS, one daughter, Catherine ENSEY, two granddaughters, Evelyn "Tootsie" CASEBOLT and Linda "Carol" ROSSON and one great-great-granddaughter, Tina MARSHALL.

Funeral services for Eula Mae FIMPLE, 79,  of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.  Burial is in Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Survivors include four daughters, Margie, Betty, Nancy and Sue; three sons, Charles, Martin and William; one sister, Frances; three brothers, G. T., Leonard,  and Frank; 27 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ora "Tennie" JAMES, 87,  of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Millsap Funeral Chapel in Webbers Falls, with the Rev. James Rice officiating.   Burial was in Stevenson Cemetery in Gum Springs, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service in Webbers Falls.   Mrs. JAMES was born July 25, 1911, to Henry Richard and Caroline (EVANS) NORTON.  She died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in the Vian Nursing Home.  Survivors include her children, Luther, Walsie, Marie, Roy, Gene, Richard, and Donald; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kenneth Travis RICHARDSON, 70, of Tulsa were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ninde Garden Chapel in Tulsa, with Lloyd Campbell officiating.  Burial was in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home in Tulsa.   Mr. RICHARDSON  was born March 1, 1928, in Ratcliff, Ark. to Nola and Vergie (FOWLEY)  RICHARDSON.  He died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.  Survivors include two daughters, Virginia and Sandy; three sons, David, Donald and Larry; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  Mr. RICHARDSON was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita (SPADE) RICHARDSON.

Funeral services for Mary Lou RIDDLE, 58, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.  Burial is in the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.  Mrs. RIDDLE  died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in her home.   Survivors include two daughters, Virginia and Donna; her mother, Mary MCMURREY; one half sister, Thelma; two brothers, Charles Edgar and Robert; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Nathanael.

Funeral services for Geraldine Grace CARTER, 79, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.  Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.  Mrs. CARTER died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at her home.  Survivors include her husband, Laurell of the home; two daughters, Sharon and Patricia; two sons, Jerry and Francis; five sisters, Wanda, Elsie, Katherine, Florence and Hazel; one brother, Charles; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mrs. CARTER  was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley BALLINGER, and one son, Larry CARTER

Funeral services for Wanda Alice LIVELY, 82, of Sallisaw were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ  in Sallisaw, with Bro. Lewis Hale and Bro. Royce Martin officiating.  Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of  Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mrs. LIVELY  was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Cowlington, to George and Bessie (MATLOCK) HALE.  She died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark.  She married J. J. LIVELY Dec. 24, 1939, in Howe.  He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1991.  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Bettye and Doyle; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Glynn and Sam and Linda; one son-in-law, Larry; one daughter-in-law, Linda; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris and Helen; and two brothers, Jim and Lewis.  Mrs. LIVELY was also preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis BROWN, and one son, Jerry LIVELY.

Graveside services for Lectie Bam CANTRELL, 92, of Roland were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Stilwell City Cemetery, with  Bro. Larry Hatfield officiating.  Mrs. CANTRELL  was born Oct. 27, 1906, in Adair District, Oklahoma, Indian Territory, to Billy and Julie (HUGHES) BUCKNER.  She died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in Roland.  She married Floyd L. CANTRELL Dec. 5, 1923, in Stilwell.  He preceded her in death April 16, 1972.  Survivors include one son, Roy L.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Mrs. CANTRELL was also preceded in death by twin sons, Wayne and Dwayne in October 1965.  Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Funeral services for Carolyn FLUTE, 45, of Marble City were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Blunt Baptist Church north of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Leroy Reid officiating.  Burial was in Flute Springs Cemetery, north of Marble  City, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mrs. FLUTE was born March 22, 1953 , in Sallisaw to  Clinton and Ethel (HONEYCUTT) POINDEXTER.  She died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Tahlequah.  She married Thomas FLUTE JR. July 7, 1969, in Stilwell.  Survivors include her husband, Thomas FLUTE JR. of the home;  two daughters, Trina and Shanell; one son, Roger; three grandchildren, Cynthia, Renee and Brent; two sisters, Effie, Evelyn; and four brothers, Bobby, Billy, Pauley, and Elmer.  Mrs. FLUTE was preceded in death by one brother, Watie POINDEXTER and one sister, Lydia BRANHAM.  

Funeral services for Cherokee Katie GIBSON, 78, of Poteau were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau, with the Revs. Junior Phillips and Jim Cook officiating.  Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.  Mrs. GIBSON was born March 27, 1920, in Akins, to a pioneer family who first came to Oklahoma Territory in the 1830s over the "Trail of Tears" She died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Athens, Tenn.  Survivors include three daughters, June, Phyllis, Cookie; two sons, George, and Rick; two sisters, Gladys and Hazel; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  

Julie A. GREEN, 58, of Vian formerly of Plattsburgh, N. Y. , died Friday, Feb. 8, 1999, at St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon Tuesday at St. Mary's of The Lake Church on Cumberland Head in Plattsburg.  Burial will be at a later date in the Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona, N. Y.  Mrs. GREEN was born April 25, 1940, in Plattsburgh to Dewey and Esther (CAVANAUGH) TROMBLY.  She married Gillis "Loy" GREEN  in 1963 at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh.  Survivors include her husband, Gillis GREEN of Vian; one son, Jacob; one daughter, Mrs. John (Noel).; two brothers and sister-in-law,  John and Jean , and Herbert and Isabel; one sister, Mrs. George (Elizabeth; one brother-in-law, Harold; one grandson, and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. GREEN was preceded in death by one sister, Mary CARTER.  Arrangements were under the direction of Walker Funeral Home Inc. In  Plattsburgh.     

Funeral services for Bobby Dee HINER, 55, of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Fosters' Ivory Chapel, with Bobby Gene Hiner and the Rev. Jeff Voth officiating.  Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home in Muskogee.  Mr. HINER was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Porter to Lewis and Alta (TIBBS) HINER.  He died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw.  He married Annette Louise HENNING.  Survivors include his wife, Annette HINER of Gore; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Gene and Marni ; one daughter and son-in-law, Joye Lynn and Timmy; five grandchildren; his father  and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stan and Cheryl, and Larry and Ella.  Mr. HINER was preceded in death by his mother, Alta HINER and older brother, Ralph Lee HINER.

Funeral services for Mary Lou MATTOX, 76, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jerry Green officiating.  Burial was in Sallisaw City cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mrs. MATTOX was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Webbers Falls to Edward and Eula (DAVIS) BROWN.  She died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Sallisaw.  She married Jewel Woodrow MATTOX March 1, 1940 in Vian.  He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 1997.   Survivors include three daughters, Ailene, Lynn and Jackie; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgia; and three brothers, Robert, Bill Faye and Earl Wayne.  

Funeral services for Lois L. McALISTER, 70, of Webbers Falls are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Sixkiller officiating.  Burial is in Fields Cemetery, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Services of Webbers Falls.  Mrs. MCALISTER was born March 24, 1928, in Gravelty, Ark., to Andrew Jackson QUALLS and Icylene (MCCARNS) QUALLS.  She died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at the Gore Nursing Home.  She married E. J. "Bud" MCALISTER in 1950 in Van Buren, Ark.  Survivors include her husband E. J. "Bud" MCALISTER of the home;   two daughters, Sharon and  her husband Bob, Kathy Lynn; one sister, Nethalee; three brothers, Edwards, Lloyd and J. C.; four grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services for Daisy Marie (BARNETT)  MOORE, 74, of Coweta, formerly of Webbers Falls, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls, with the Rev. Jerry White officiating.  Mrs. MOORE was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Oklahoma City, to Ben Homer and Lillie Alberta (WILLIAMS) BARNETT.  She died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center.   Survivors include her children,  Charles Oliver and wife, Judy, Ellis William and wife Pam, and Nona Marie ; three brothers, Ben Dale, Jim and his wife, Wanda, and Homer O. and his wife, Marlene; one sister Nona Jean and husband, Frank; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Arrangements were under the direction of Millsap Funeral Services in Webbers Falls.

Funeral services for Carl E. RICHARDSON, 79, of Sallisaw are being held t 2 p.m. Thursday at the Way of the Cross  Free Will  Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Martin Douthit officiating.  Burial is in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mr. RICHARDSON was born March 7, 1919, in Sallisaw, to Jim and  Ollie (NEWBERRY) RICHARDSON.  He died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Sallisaw.  He married Hazel N.  BARBEE  July 2, 1938, in Sallisaw.  She preceded him in death Oct. 7, 1974.  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Mina; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Shelby, Alvin, Kenneth; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Mrs. RICHARDSON  was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Agnes BOYD and Virginia TROTTER.  

Funeral services for William Lee SMITH, 78, of Vian were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Stoke Smith Stomp Grounds, near Vian, with Asst. Chief Frankie Studie officiating.  Burial was in  Bush Cemetery, north of Marble City, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.   Mr. SMITH  was born March 25, 1920, in Sequoyah County, to Stoke and Lilah (MCCOY) SMITH.  He died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at his home.  He married Eva Pigeon Sept. 9, 1949, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include his wife, Eva SMITH of the home; six daughters,  Doris, Lila, Dorotheia, Geneva, Sadie, Ellen; one son,  William David; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services for Nelson David "Dave" STEELE, 75, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jeffrey Polasek officiating.  Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Wheeler Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mr. STEELE was born May 17, 1923, in Moffett, to Louis Marion STEELE and Mary WEESE STEELE.  He died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in a Fort Smith hospital. He married Ruth Ann BARRY December 23, 1944, in  Fort Benning, Ga.  Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Ray and Barbara L. and Guy E.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Keith, Stephen and Katherine, Gregory M.; one sister Sarah; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  Mr. STEELE was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann STEELE on May 7, 1970, one sister, Irene KANADY, and two brothers, C. S. "Cy" STEELE and Rex STEELE.

Funeral services for Thelma Juanita SUTTON, 55, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Clark officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Gore.  Mrs. SUTTON was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Exeter, Calif., to Kenneth Clyde COWART  and Lillian Virginia (FIELDS) COWART.  She died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at her home.  She married Dale Estus SUTTON Nov. 3, 1975, in Muskogee.   Survivors include her husband, Dale E. SUTTON of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Johnny; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Kenneth Paul and Jennifer, Randy Eugene, Kevin Phillip, and Benjamin Wayne and Carrie; one step-daughter, Tina Marie; four step-sons and daughters-in-law, Dale Estus II, Randall Wayne and Pam, Christopher Dean and Christina,  and Tommy Lee and Della; 16 grandchildren; eight sisters, Helen ,  Geri, Peggy, Patsy, Bertha, Judy, Gayla and Destiny; and two brothers, Kenneth Ray and Benjamin Leroy.   Mrs. SUTTON  was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Clyde COWART on Jan. 16, 1999, her mother, Lillian Virginia COWART on Sept 4, 1993, two sisters, Rena COWART in September 1953 and Deloris COWART in September 1958, and one step-daughter, Rhonda SUTTON in 1984.

Floella THOMPSON, 71, of Fort Smith, Ark. died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a Van Buren, Ark., nursing home.  Cremation was under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.  Survivors include one daughter, Judi; one sister, Ruby; two brothers, Alfred and Joe; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Exine WHITE, 84, of Cecil, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cecil Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rick McNeil officiating. Burial is in Cecil Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Mortuary in Charleston, Ark.  Mrs. White was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Franklin County, to J. L. VOLENTINE  and Agnes (BERKLEY)  VOLENTINE.  She died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a Ozark nursing home.  Survivors include three daughters, Ethelda, Wanelda and Gwen; three sons, Carl, William and Dempsey; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. WHITE was preceded in death by her husband, William WHITE.

Funeral services for Mildred L.  LAMBERT, 90, of Roland, formerly of Clayton, N. M., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hass Funeral Home in Clayton, with the Rev. Billy Rammage officiating.  Burial was in Texline Cemetery in Texline, Texas, under the direction of Hass Funeral Home.  Mrs. LAMBERT was born Feb. 6, 1909, in Cumberland  County, Tenn., to Nimrod Freeman "Bud" HOLLAND and Susie Lucinda (WILLIAMS) HOLLAND.  She died Monday,  Feb. 8, 1999, in Fort Smith Ark.  She married Richard Edward LAMBERT May 19, 1929, in Amarillo, Texas.  He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1963.  Survivors include nieces and nephews, Willene, John Boyd, John W., Janis, Gary, Jerry, Tenna Sue, Ted and Jim.  Mrs. LAMBERT was also preceded in death by two step-sons, Jack and Edward LAMBERT, five brothers, Walter HOLLAND, Wren HOLLAND, Earl HOLLAND, Boyd HOLLAND  and Herschel "Jack" HOLLAND, and three sisters, Edith BENTLEY,  Jewel CULLEN and Lena KEENER.  

Graveside services for Richard R. MORRIS, 81, of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Maple Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw with the Rev. Jeff Polasek officiating.  Mr. MORRIS  was born Nov. 15, in 1917, in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., to Gilbert and Minnie MORRIS.  He died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Vian.  He married Dorothy Lucille MARTINDALE April 11, 1938, in Carthage, Mo.  She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1988.  Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law,, Opal, Wanda and Ed; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard D. , John and Betty; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister; one brothers; and other relatives and friends.  Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in  Sallisaw.  

Funeral services for Ellen Irene STUMBAUGH, 74,  of Roland are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Agent Chapel in Muldrow, with the Rev. Phil Whitten officiating.  Burial is in Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.   Mrs. STUMBAUGH was born Jan. 1, 1925, in McKey, to Joseph Harrison DIAL and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (HOLT) DIAL.  She died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Van Buren, Ark.  She married Richard Hugh "Dick" STUMBAUGH Sept. 24, 1944, in Bentonville, Ark.  He preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1987./  Survivors include two daughters, Sue and Angelia "Cricket"; one son, Larry; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Carrol and Wayne; three sisters, Geneva, Lois, Mary Jo; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  Mrs. STUMBAUGH  was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene DIAL.

Funeral services for Tearsa Raenell WARREN, 20, of Berryville, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Berryville, with the Rev. Keith Butler officiating.  Burial was in the Farmer Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.  Miss  WARREN was born Oct. 2, 1978, in Wagoner, to Jimmy and Debra (SUTTERFIELD) WARREN.  She died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in West Siloam Springs.  Survivors include her parents; her grandparents, Loretta ; Lloyd and Marilyn, and James; three great-grandmothers, Mildred, Vera, Lue; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Miss WARREN was preceded in  death by her grandmother, Vella WARREN, and two great-grandfathers.

"Andy" ANDERSON, 72, of Talihina, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Talihina Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Roger Mattox and Jerry Grammar officiating.  Burial was in Sardis Lake Cemetery, under the direction of Breasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena, Ark.  Mr. ANDERSON  was born May 11, 1926, in Fort Coffee, to Amos and Johnnie ANDERSON.  He died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, in Talihina.  Survivors include his wife, Dovie ANDERSON of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbra and Roger; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Patti, Daryl and Becky and David and Debbie; his mother, four brothers, Henry, Gene, DeWayne and Steve; four sisters, Ruby, Ella, Marlene and Martha; nine grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and three step-grandchildren.

ARMER JR. , 17, of Vian will be held at 10 a.m.  Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, with Bro John Lindell officiating.  The youth was born Feb. 5, 1982, in Idabel, to L. G. ARMER Sr. and Eva Paulette (BRANDON)  ARMER.  He died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Sallisaw.    Survivors include his parents of the home; two sisters, April and Ellen; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  

Funeral services for Sadie V. BALDRIDGE, 87, of Sallisaw will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Bro. Paul Powers officiating.  Burial is in Maple Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.   Miss BALDRIDGE was born May 18, 1911, in the Maple community, to George Washington BALDRIDGE and Nannie (MILLER) BALDRIDGE.  She died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Vian. Survivors include one brother-in-law, Karl C.  and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  

Funeral services for Virginia Lee BLACK, 96, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Sallisaw, with Dr. Lee Woodard officiating.  Burial was in Sallisaw  City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Miss Black was born Oct. 17, 1902, in Alma, Ark.  to Lon W. BLACK and Lulu A. (CARAWAY ) BLACK.  She died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include two nieces, Margaret and Jennie; one nephew, Eugene.  

Memorial services for Stella BUCK, 83,  of Roland were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roland Hills Baptist Church.  Mrs. BUCK died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in a Roland nursing home.  Survivors include one daughter, Jeri; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  Cremation was under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark.  

Funeral services for Thelma Beatric "Pell" DILLARD, 81, of Cowlington, are  being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Cowlington with the Rev. Tommy Parker officiating.  Burial is in Short Mountain Cemetery, near Cowlington, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.   Mrs. DILLARD was born March 20, 1917, in Cecil, Ark., to Eulis and Bertha (POWERS) JONES.  She died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, in Spiro.  She married Joe Frank DILLARD April 27, 1935, in Cowlington.  He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 1995, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Bertha Ann, Barbara Sue, Phyllis Jo and David, and Kathy and Gary; five sons, and five daughters-in-law, Howard Duane and  Teresa , Gary Lynn and Lynn, Duel Keith and Lawana, and Donald Gene and Donna, and Ted and Diana; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and two brothers, L. B.  and  Hershel.   Mrs. DILLARD   was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister and one grandchild.

Graveside services for Modena GARRISON, 84, of Sallisaw are being held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Dale Phelps officiating.  Mrs. GARRISON  was born March 15, 1914, in Alpena, Ark., to Harry Leon WELCHER  and Minnie Mae (JETTON) WELCHER.  She died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark.   She married Charlie GARRISON July 14, 1934, in Muskogee.  Survivors include her husband,  Charlie GARRISON of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Barbara; one daughter, Mollie Dean; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Mrs. GARRISON was preceded in death by one son, Leon GARRISON in March 1994.  Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  

Graveside services for Joshua LOCUST Sr., 88, of Vian are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCoy Cemetery in Evening Shade, with the Rev. Crosslin Smith officiating. Mr. LOCUST was born Jan. 21, 1910, in Cherokee County, to George and Sarah (HENDRICK) LOCUST. He died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in Gore. Survivors include two sons, Tom and Joshua Jr.; five daughters, Ida, Hope, Nannie, Dessie, and Lillian; one sister, Luella; 24 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Mr. LOCUST was preceded in death by two wives, Lucy (BEAVERS) LOCUST and Annie (STEALER) LOCUST, one son, George LOCUST, two daughters, Elsie GIRTY and Debbie Sue LOCUST and two brothers, Joe LOCUST and Sam HOTHOUSE. (TOUNZEN) SMITH.  He died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark.  He married Wilma Louise HOLT Sept. 15, 1956, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include his wife Wilma SMITH of the home; three daughters, Louis, Deanna and Sherry; three grandchildren; seven sisters, Alpha, Juanita, Gracie, Georgia Ann, Nettie, Shirley and  Hazel; and eight brothers, James, Curtis, Bert, Robert, Donald, Buster, E. W.,  and Truman.

Russ Belmont officiating.  Burial was in Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery in Antioch, under the direction of Higgins Chapel in Anticoh.  Mrs. SPEARS was born Feb. 15, 1917, to Frank and Beilha (MORRIS) BARNES.  She died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord, Calif., after a short illness.  She married Robert M. SPEARS  Aug. 7, 1937.  Survivors include her husband, Robert M. SPEARS of Antioch; one daughter, Shirley L.; two sons,  Bobby L. and Johnny C.; two brothers, Bill and Bob; three sisters, Vivian, Pluma and  Katie; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  Mrs. SPEARS was preceded in death  by one grandson, Steven SPEARS, and two brothers, Beautine BARNES and Boyd BARNES.    

Mr. Waldemar Oscar "Bud" SQUIRES, 82, of Sallisaw died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark.  He was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Michigan, the son of Oscar SQUIRES.  He married Betty Florence O"ROURKE  Jan. 10, 1950, in New York City.  Survivors include his wife, Betty SQUIRES of the home; and many friends .  Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Frances Melinda WALKUP, 90, of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Free Will Baptist Church, northwest of Muldrow, with the Revs. Dale Doss and Bill Carter officiating.  Burial is in Maple Cemetery, northwest of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.  Mrs. WALKUP was born May 5, 1908, in the Maple community, to John Wesley WALLACE and Rosa Mildred (NORMAN) WALLACE.  She died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark.    She married David Henry WALKUP  Nov. 23, 1931, in Sequoyah County. He preceded her in death  Oct. 16, 1969.  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Glen; two grandchildren, John and Randy; one sister, Recie; and one brother, Lonzo.    Mrs. WALKUP  was also preceded in death by one son, Earl Gene WALKUP on Nov. 10, 1989.

Passmore, Don Varble and Steve Harrelson officiating. Mr. BARBER was born April 30, 1914, in Hartman, Ark., to William and Lizzie (WILSON) BARBER.  He died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at his home.  He married Mary Ellen HARMON  May 1, 1937, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen BARBER  of the home; two daughters, Blanche Faye and Betty Sue; five sons, Jerry O. , James W., Johnny L., Billy R. and Danny J.; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one sister Elva .Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Major Richard E. COSNER JR, U.S. Army, Retired,  of Roland died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999.  Funeral for Mr. COSNER, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, with a graveside salute by the Fort Sill Honor Guard, at the Fort Smith (Ark.) National Cemetery.  A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church at 3600 Free Ferry in Fort Smith.  Mr. COSNER  was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He married Marcella M. PATTERSON on Oct. 4, 1942 in Fort Smith.   He is survived by his wife, Marcella M. COSNER of Roland; a daughter, Lenore Kay; three sons, Richard E. III, Frank, and Tom; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He married Jewel Marie BUTLER April 28, 1960, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jewell M. VERNON of the home; one daughter, Winnell ; two sisters, Opal and Lena; and 11 grandchildren;  Mr. VERNON was preceded in death by one son, Bobby CASON on May 25, 1993, in Sallisaw.

He married  Kasey LANDERS Dec. 26, 1993, in College Station, Texas.  Survivors include his wife, Kasey WALL of the home;  two sisters, Cory Rebecca  and Glena Dawn; his mother and step-father, Wyvona and Glen; his father, Robert; grandfather, L. YOUNG, 52, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Buffington Cemetery, west of Sallisaw, with David Wells officiating.  Mr. YOUNG  was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Sallisaw, to Lenzy Theodore YOUNG and Thelma Leona (WELLS) YOUNG.  He died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Muskogee.    Survivors include one daughter, Bridgette; two sons, Deano and Darren; his mother, Thelma; and one brother, Ricky Dewayne. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Survivors include his wife, Linda FRITSCHIE of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Marie and Ernie; one son Phillip; three sisters, Hilda, Freda and Patsy; two brothers, Edward and Bob; one granddaughter; and his mother-in-law, Marie MERRYMAN.  Mr. FRITSCHIE was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Christine (SCHLIEF) FRITSCHIE and one brother, Bill FRITSCHIE.  Services were under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro.
