Goldie Mae HOWARD, 76, of Sallisaw died at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Services will be Tuesday,Jan. 3, in Binger under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. HOWARD was born Nov. 1, 1907, in Haywood. Survivors include one son, Hubert; two daughters, Joy and Barbara; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services for Virgil Lee MANNON, 60, of Gore were held Friday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Gum Springs Holiness Church with the Rev. Cletus Jones and the Rev. Albert Terrell officiating. Burial was in the Greenleaf Cemetery, west of Tahlequah, under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. MANNON died Tuesday, Dec. 27, in the Muskogee Veterans Hospital. He was born in Muldrow to Pleasant Alford MANNON and Ollie Alberta GOODMAN MANNON on Jan. 5, 1923. Survivors include the wife Irene of the home; one son, Jerry; four sisters, Odie and Junie, Mary and Emma; six brothers, Fred, Roy, Ernie and Bill, Levi and George; and three grandchildren.
Services for Tom McNAMEE, 87, of Vian were held Friday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Vian First Baptist Church with the Rev. W.D. Shade officiating. Burial followed in the Roselawn Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Ragsdale's Mortuary in Muskogee. Mr. McNAMEE died Saturday, Dec. 24. He was born March 11, 1896, in Ponotoc County, Miss., to Joe and Blanche McNAMEE. Survivors include one brother, Clyde, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Hass James SELLS, 83, of Sallisaw were held Friday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m at the Sallisaw City Cemetery. The Rev. Curtis Bias officiated at the services which were under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home. Mr. SELLS was born to Peter SELLS and Seeley LOVITT SELLS on Feb. 19, 1900, in Oklahoma. He died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at his home. . Survivors include the wife Rose of the home; one son, Sonny; seven daughters, Sammy, Margie, Ruth, Jerry, Marie, Ginger, and Linda; two sisters, Jewel, and Martha; one brother, Clarence "; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services for Rev. Don Daniel DuVALL of Sallisaw were held Thursday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. at the church where he was minister, the Oak Ridge Assembly of God. The Rev. Tommy Parker and the Rev. E.O. Tackett officiated at the services. A second service was held Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Russellville, Ark. The Rev. J.B. Lindsey and the Rev. Parker officiated at the second service. Burial followed in the the Old Baptist Cemetery near Russellville. The Rev. DuVALL was born to Guy Darr DuVALL and Edna STAGGS DuVALL in Russellville on Sept. 10, 1931. He died in Sallisaw Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the age of 52. He and his wife, the former Emma Jo TACKETT, were married Dec. 24, 1952, in Russellville. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kathy Jan; one son, the Rev. Danny; two grandsons; and one sister, Mrs. Betty.
Terry Eugene MULLINS, 77, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Jan. 12., at his home. Services are being held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Wheeler Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Curtis Bias officiating. Burial follows in the Marble City Cemetery, under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home. Mr. MULLINS was born June 4, 1906, to Mitchell MULLINS and Parkie EASTEP MULLINS in Crawford County, Ark. Survivors include three sisters, Helen M., Louisa, and Leeila, and two brothers, Mack and Chester.
Services for Pearl Maxine PRICE of Sallisaw are being held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Wheeler Chapel with Bro. Ira Brackett officiating. Burial is in the Rocky Point Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home. Mrs. PRICE died Wednesday, Jan. 11, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital at the age of 51. She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Sallisaw to Ottus PRICE and Beulah HADLOW PRICE. Survivors include the parents, Ottus and Beulah PRICE of Sallisaw; three sisters, Irene, Roxie, and Lucille and two brothers, Alton and Harold.

Bobby Ray BOLIN, 26, died Saturday, Jan. 26,(?) from injuries resulting from an auto accident. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Vian Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Carlile and the Rev. Adam Canoe officiating. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories in Vian under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. BOLIN was born to William BOLIN Jr. and Annie JAMES BOLIN on Nov. 6, 1957, in Oklahoma City. He was a construction worker. He and his wife, the former Anita Yvonne SPENCER, were married Aug. 5, 1978, in Vian. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Melissa; the parents, William and Annie BOLIN; one sister, Felicia; and two brothers, Larry Dale and Samuel.
Wilburn Luther BOSTON, 67, of Panama died Tuesday, Jan. 24, at a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Services are being held Thursday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. W.O. Hatley officiating. Burial is in the Shady Point Cemetery at Shady Point under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home. Mr. BOSTON was born Jan. 5, 1917, to William Bramlet BOSTON and Katie Dora WHITE BOSTON in Clarksville, Ark. Mr. BOSTON and his wife, the former Doris Edna FLOYD, were married Oct. 12, 1938, in Shady Point. He preceded his wife in death. Survivors include one daughter, Joan; one son, Dr. Neal; one sister, Mrs. Mattie; one brother, Jessie Lee; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Charlie KUMPE, 72, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Jan. 21, in the Vian Nursing Home. Services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Wheeler Chapel with Dr. Eldridge Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home. Mr. KUMPE was born Nov. 10, 1911, to John KUMPE and Mae WEBB KUMPE in Sallisaw. Survivors include the wife Carrie of the home; one step-daughter Joyce; two step-sons, Clettus, and Charles; one sister Ethel; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Ansil Loury LUTTRELL, 74, of Lelia Lake, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 21. Services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church at Hedley, Texas, with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Alan Reed Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. LUTTRELL was born in Donnelly County, Texas. . He married Willie Mae SMITH on Aug. 14, 1933, in Hollis. Survivors include the wife; two sons, Raymond and Troy; two brothers, LeRoy and Clarence; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Annie Evyline POWELL, 81, of Muldrow died Sunday, Jan. 22, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. in the mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. M.C. Parrish and the Rev. Raymond Chronister officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Cemetery, northwest of Muldrow, under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. POWELL was born to James John WOODWARD and Lou Ella SPENCER WOODWARD on Nov. 23, 1902, in Muldrow, Sequoyah District, Indian Territory. Mrs. POWELL and her husband, Joseph Brown POWELL were married in Muldrow on Oct. 23, 1920. He preceded his wife in death. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Velma Louise, Mrs. Loretta Colene and Mrs. Wilma Jean; five sons, James Franklin, Joe Jr., Lawrence Eugene, John Richard, and Jerry Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Jewell and Mrs. Juanita; and 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services for Billy Doyle SEQUICHIE, 25, of Vian were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Vian First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Carlile and the Rev. Adam Canoe officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. SEQUICHIE died in Sallisaw Saturday, Jan. 21, from injuries suffered in an auto accident. He was born in Claremore to Wilson SEQUICHIE and Margaret YOUNG SEQUICHIE on April 13, 1958. A welder for a steel company, Mr. SEQUICHIE and his wife, the former June Boniel BAKER, were married July 26, 1979, in Tulsa. She survives. Other survivors include the parents, Wilson and Margaret SEQUICHIE; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Iva YOUNG; four sisters, Dorothy, Betty and Dale, and LaVaughn; and five brothers, Johnny, George and Gary , Wilson Jr. and Kenneth.

Mr. SEQUICHIE died Saturday, Jan. 21, in Sallisaw from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born to Wilson SEQUICHIE and Margaret YOUNG SEQUICHIE on Aug. 20, 1950, in Tahlequah. Survivors include the wife Diane of the home; the parents Wilson and Margaret SEQUICHIE ; the grandmother, Mrs. Iva YOUNG; three sons, Cory and Jeremiah, and Tony; two daughters, Misty and Brandy ; four sisters, Dorothy, Betty and Dale, and LaVaughn; and five brothers, Johnny, George and Gary, Wilson and Kenneth.
Services for Mary Alice SMITH, 40 , of Vian were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Vian Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Carlile officiating. Burial followed in the Box Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. SMITH died Thursday, Jan. 19, in Sequoyah Memorial Hospital. She was born to James F. COLLINS and Ada TURNER COLLINS on June 14, 1943, in Bunch. Survivors include the husband Fields SMITH; four sons, Lynn, Jeffry and Ronnie and Dwayne; the father James F.; one sister, Sue; one brother, Jimmy; two daughters-in-law, Kris and Melinda; and two grandsons.
Services for Dora STEVENSON of Gans were held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. in the Gans Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Charles Kilgore officiating. Burial was in the Gans Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. STEVENSON died in Sequoyah Manor Monday, Jan. 23, at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 22, 1892, to John TORBETT and Fannie BRYSON TORBETT in Fine Springs, Ark. Survivors include three daughters, Vivian, Gordia and Delta; one son, Bill; two brothers, Everett and Neal; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. .
Funeral services for Carrie Elizabeth STORM of Shidler were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Shidler. The Rev. Joe Capps of Shidler and the Rev. Floyd Sasfell of Webb City officiated at the services. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City. Mrs. STORM was born to John and Nancy DEATHERAGE in Sallisaw on Oct. 28, 1891, in Sallisaw. She died Saturday, Jan. 21, at the age of 87. She and her husband Otis were married in Sallisaw in 1915. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Doyl, and Carl; three daughters, Mrs. Midred, Mrs. Violet and Elizabeth; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Flora TURNER, 68, of Arkoma were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. in the Hartman Cemetery in Hartman, Ark. Mrs. TURNER died Friday, Jan. 20, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Keota to James Richard NOLAN and Josephine CONWAY NOLAN. She and her husband, George Washington TURNER were married in Van Buren, Ark., in 1952. He preceded his wife in death. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jean; five sons, George, Rodney, G.W., Ed and Clarence; one sister, Mrs. Addie; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Madie YOUNG, 71, of Sallisaw died Tuesday in Sequoyah Memorial Hospital. Services are Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Agent Chapel with the Rev. Troy Tanksleary officiating. Burial is to follow in the Buffington Cemetery, west of Sallisaw, under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home. Mrs. YOUNG was born to Lewis Allen WILLIAMS and Sarah Margaret BELL WILLIAMS on March 25, 1912, in Sallisaw. She and her husband, Frank M. YOUNG were married May 8, 1933, in Sallisaw. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include one daughter, Lou Jean; one son, Frank Jr.; five sisters, Mrs. Fred, Mrs. Virgie and Mrs. Annie, Mrs. Rita and Mrs. Katherine; one brother, Lewis; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kenney Sherrell DIFFEE, 41, of Tahlequah will be held Monday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Hart Memorial Chapel in Tahlequah. The Rev. Richard Roundtree and the Rev. Ronnie Rice will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home. Mr. DIFFEE died Thursday, Jan. 26, in Tahlequah City Hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Tahlequah to John V. DIFFEE and Quatie DIFFEE. He was married to the former Louise RUTHERFORD in October of 1966 in Stilwell and resided in Tahlequah from that time. He was preceded in death by his father, John V. DIFFEE, who died on March 31, 1980. Survivors include the wife; one son, Kenny Jr.; the mother, Quatie DIFFEE; one sister, Jan; one brother, Enoch A.; and numerous relatives in the Sallisaw area.
Services for Mrs. Halene Bell HALL, 88, of Tahlequah, formerly of Sallisaw, were held Friday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Agent Chapel with the Rev. Billy Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home. Mrs. HALL died Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Tahlequah. She was born to Gilliman Nelson BUNCE and Mary Amelia RUSSELL BUNCE on May 31, 1895, in Shawnee, Indian Territory. She and her husband, Samuel Watie HALL, were married on Nov. 25, 1913, in Sallisaw. He preceded his wife in death. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Nell; three sons, S.W. Jr., and Harold L. and Rex R.; one sisters, Mrs. Mable; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services for Bernita Lee HENKS, 50, of Hutchinson, Kan. Were held Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Minnis Chapel in St. John, Kan. Burial followed in Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John. Mrs. HENKS died Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. She was born July 22, 1933, in Stafford County, Kan., and married Freddie HENKS at Seward, Kan., on Aug. 5, 1951. Survivors include the husband of the home; one son, Richard; one daughter, Gail; four brothers, Bud, Bob, Bill and Ben ; one sister, Betty; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services for former Vian resident Harry McKNIGHT were held Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Drumright with the Rev. Francis Boyer officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at the Vian Garden of Memories under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Mr. McKNIGHT, a resident of Shamrock since 1917, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the age of 73. He was born in Vian on June 6, 1910, to George A. McKNIGHT and Hannah Grace MILLS McKNIGHT. He and his wife, the former Helen HOLT, were married Jan. 19, 1963. She preceded him in death on May 15, 1983. Survivors include one sister and her husband, Opal and Vernon; two nephews, Jerry and John; one nieces and her husband, Cecil Mae and Don; one step-daughter and husband, Wilma and John; three step-granddaughters; and one step-great-granddaughter.
Services for J. W. STEELY of the Nicut community are being held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. in the Short Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Wade officiating. Burial is in the Akins Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. STEELY, 61, died at his home on Thursday, Jan. 26. He was born May 26, 1922, to H.T. STEELY and Leather CHAPMAN STEELY in the New Hope community. Survivors include the wife Doris Jean of the home; four daughters, Donna and Sheila, Geleta and Brenda; five sons, Jawayne, Michael, Kenneth, Mark and Keith; one sister, Martha Lee; three brothers, Jack, H.T.and Lawrence; and one granddaughter.
