Graveside services for Cassie Viola ATKESON, 91, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Curtis Bias officiating. Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. ATKESON was born July 19, 1908, in Sallisaw, to James William HELTON and Polly (LUNA) HELTON. She died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in Sallisaw. Mrs. ATKESON married Bill ATKESON Dec. 19, 1938, in Phoenix, He preceded her in death in 1938. Survivors include two sisters, Susan and Lillian; and several nieces and nephews, including Ruth Ann.

Funeral services for Gregory Lee CASSADY, 44, of Edmond, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at Baggerly Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond with the Rev. Dan Bryson officiating. Burial was in memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home. Mr. CASSADY was born June 15, 1956. He died Saturday, June 17, 2000. Survivors include his wife, Sandy of the home; one son, Matt; his father Floyd "Dude"; and numerous family and friends. Mr. CASSADY was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene JAMES CASSADY; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Bonnie CASSADY; maternal grandmother, Hazel JAMES and maternal grandfather, Obid JAMES. 

Funeral services for Donnie CHEATER, 82, of Marble City, are being held at 2 p. m. Saturday, at the House of Praise in Marble City, with the Rev. George Byrd officiating. Burial is in Flute Springs Cemetery north of Marble City, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. CHEATER was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Jay, to Joe CHEATER and Gayahhi (SHARP) CHEATER. Survivors include two daughters, Sallie and Lucille; two sons, Thomas and Charley; 26 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Watt. Mrs. CHEATER was preceded in death by her parents; one son, George CHRISTIE; two brothers, Jack CHEATER,  and Dave CHEATER; and one half-brother, Lee WATERMELON.

Graveside services for Leonard Franklin COWAN, 89, of Gans were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Gans Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne I. Hall officiating. Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. COWAN was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Gans, to Benjamin Franklin COWAN and Bessie (LUTHER) COWAN. He died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. COWAN married Katie Pauline WRIGHT in 1939, in Stilwell. She preceded him in death Dec. 19, 1958. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy, Sue and Sharon; two sons, Bobby and Bennie M.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian. Mr. COWAN was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Rhonda Jean WATERS in 1994 and Angel TEAGUE HAMILTON in 1995; and two grandsons, Terry Allen BARNUM and Lonnie Dean WATERS both in 1985.

Funeral services for Debra Celeste COMBEST FARMER, 47, of Edmond, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at First Presbyterian Church of Edmond. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery in Duncan, under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond. Mrs. FARMER was born Sept. 29, 1952, in Russell, Kan. to Billy Houston and Dora Rae COMBEST. She died Sunday, June 18, 2000, in Edmond. Survivors include her husband, Harlan FARMER of the home; one son, Paul; one brother, Randy; and one sister, Denise; her mother-in-law, Lela; one sister-in-law, Tamara; one brother-in-law, Phillip; one nephew, one niece; and countless friends and co-workers. Mrs. FARMER was preceded in death by her parents Billy Houston and Dora Rae COMBEST of Duncan; and her father-in-law, Ray Harlan FARMER of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Bonnie Jean GLASS, 87, of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Ed Baker officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery, Northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. GLASS was born Oct. 5, 1912, in Short, to R. E. JEREMIAH and Maud (WALTERS) JEREMIAH. She died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son, Dan Eugene; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. GLASS was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Gwyn MEANS; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Graveside services for Rachel Beth PARVIN, 14, of Van Buren, Ark., are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Miss PARVIN died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at her home. Survivors include her parents, Shelli and Brett PARVIN of the home; parental grandmother, Marilyn; maternal grandmother, Evelyn; maternal grandfather, Dennis; four sisters, Leah, Carissa, Brettney and Stephanie; and five brothers, Shayne, Jeremy, Joshua, Levi and Nicholas; and numerous aunts and uncles. Miss PARVIN was preceded in death by her mother; Charlotte PARVIN.

Funeral services for "Dobber" Charlie SPARKS, 76, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, with the Rev. Terry Guthrie officiating. Burial  was in Drake Stand Cemetery west of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. SPARKS was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Sallisaw, to Charles SPARKS and Maude (WESSON) SPARKS. He died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. SPARKS married Ouita Jackie DODD on April 14, 1947, in Bakersfield. Survivors include his wife, Jackie of the home; five daughters, Freda, Sue, Pat, Marcia and Sarah; four sons, Don, Joe, Charles and Mike; 45 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one sister Dollie; one brother, Drue; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jewel McFADDEN STUBER, 82, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Ed Cunningham and Marlin Douthit officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. STUBER was born July 14, 1917, in Vian, to Willie Cleveland PATTERSON and Edna Lavada (SEAY) PATTERSON. She died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. STUBER married Sidney Lee McFADDEN June 21, 1935, in Vian. He preceded her in death July 28, 1966. She married Harry Howard STUBER Oct. 24, 1979 in Stilwell. He preceded her in death June 15, 1997.  Survivors include two daughters, Velma Lee and Barbara Sue; one son, Charles Wendell; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby.

A memorial service for David Clifford VAUGHAN Jr., 66, of Bixby, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Grace Fellowship in Tulsa, with the Rev. Bob Yandian officiating. Burial was in Bixby Cemetery, under the direction of Jack Selby of Bixby Funeral Service. Mr. VAUGHAN was born July 16, 1933, in Liberty, to David Clifford VAUGHAN Sr. and Verda ROGERS VAUGHAN. He died Monday, June 26, 2000, in Tulsa at Hillcrest Medical Center. Mr. VAUGHAN married Donna WILDEROM on Feb. 28, 1953, in Wichita, Kan. Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; one son, Rick; three daughter, Debra, Lori and Stephanie; five grandchildren; three brothers, Loyd, Jerl and Roger; and three sisters, Joyce, Shirley and Carolyn; Mr. VAUGHAN  was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Christina; and one brother, Baby Boy VAUGHAN.

Graveside services for Jimmy Le FARMER, 56, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Sallisaw, was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Sallisaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Rodney Robertson officiating.  Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.  Mr. FARMER was born Jan. 28, 1944, to Aud L. FARMER and Hazel (BREWER) FARMER in Fort Smith, Ark. He died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Tulsa. Survivors include one son, Danny; one uncle, Warren G.; one aunt, Agnes; and several cousins and other relatives.

Graveside services for Roger Allen HARRIS, 54, of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Fleetwood Cemetery east of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. HARRIS was born March 13, 1946, in Tulsa. He died Monday, July 3, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark.  He married Martha E. KNIGHT HARRIS in June, 1984, in Muskogee. Survivors include his wife, Martha E. HARRIS of the home; two sisters, Margaret and Ruth Ann; his step-parents, H.J. and Lillian; and one brother-in-law, Frank.

Funeral services for Ricky Don LOVE, 41, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Burial is in Paint Rock Cemetery near Paris, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. Mr. LOVE died Monday, July 3, 2000, in Fort Smith. Survivors include one son, Nason Brock; one daughter, Rikki Dawn; his mother, Anna; his grandmother, Lora; two sisters, Devolyn and Carolyn; and one brother, David. Mr. LOVE was preceded in death by his father, Donald David LOVE.

Funeral services for Hattie Reba (WALKER) SMITH, 79, of Checotah, former resident of Hanson, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Checotah, with Doctor Jim Hewitt officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Mrs. SMITH was born May 22, 1921, in Mannford, to Robert L. and Isaac "Ike" Marie (HARRELL) WALKER of Hanson. She died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Muskogee. Mrs. SMITH married A. Newell SMITH on Dec. 27, 1938, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Cindy; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Seba ; two nephews; special friends and adopted daughters; Pat and Debbie. Mrs. SMITH was preceded in death by her husband, A. Newell SMITH in August of 1995, and her parents.

A funeral mass for John Paul SPRADLIN, 18, of Liberty, was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial will be in Willow Creek Farms at a later date, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Mr. SPRADLIN died Saturday, July 1, 2000, near Cass, Ark.  Survivors include his parents, Howard "Buddy" and Linda SPRADLIN of the home; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Steven and Jo Lynn and Mark and Paige, gReg and Amparo , and Adam Joseph; two nephews and four nieces.

Funeral services for Larry Wayne SPRINGWATER, 52,  of Gans, are being held at 11 a.m. Friday, at First Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Harold McKeehen and Joe Fowler officiating. Burial is in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. SPRINGWATER  was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Gans, to Lawrence D. SPRINGWATER and Katie Ruth (ROGERS) SPRINGWATER. He died Monday, July 3, 2000, in Fort Smith. Mr. SPRINGWATER married Della Faye AKIN on Aug. 10, 1991, in Barling, Ark.  Survivors include his wife, Della F. SPRINGWATER of the home; one son, Justin; three daughters, Renae, Jennifer and Carolyn; one step-daughter, Heather; one step-son, Matthew; two grandchildren; his parents, L.D. and Katie; three brothers, Randy, Gary and Teddy; and four sisters, Peggy, Carolyn, Janice and Patsy. Mr. SPRINGWATER was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Joe SPRINGWATER on Sept. 21, 1982; and one brother, Cletus D. SPRINGWATER on July 14, 1988.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. POWELL was born July 20, 1946, in Enid, to Glen POWELL and Emma (ANDERSON) POWELL. He died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, in Vian. Survivors include his wife, Debbie FISHER POWELL of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Alena; two brothers, Tommy and Jimmy; and five sisters, Doris, Barbara, Patsy, Glenda and Kathy. Mr. POWELL was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Opal DAVIS were held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Blackgum Baptist Church, with the Revs. Lee Woodard and Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery north of Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. DAVIS was born Sept. 15, 1910, in Dean Springs, Ark., to Lewis James MATTHEWS and Parmelia Ann (ANDERSON) MATTHEWS. She died Friday, July 7, 2000, in Sallisaw.  Mrs. DAVIS married Thomas Estle DAVIS on June 22, 1928, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death March 7, 1991. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth, Mona and Glenda; four sons, Vernon, Harold, Thomas E. Jr., and Jimmie D.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Lessie. Mrs. DAVIS was also preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi DAVIS and one grandson, Thomas E. DAVIS III in 1998.

Graveside services for Della E. LEE, 79, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Box Cemetery north of Vian, with the Rev. Robert Buttery officiating. Mrs. LEE was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, to Wade Ray and Mary (COOK) RAY. She died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Mrs. LEE married O.S. LEE in 1935, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death in January 1997.  Survivors include two daughters, Ruby and Ruth; three sons, Carl, Rex and Jerry; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. LEE  was also preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Mr. Noah STRANGE, 77, of Monmouth, Ill., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Community Medical Center in Monmouth. He was born July 18, 1922, in Kentucky, to Moss Cecil and Emma Susan (SANDERS) STRANGE. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Laura, Cecil and Vickii, and Steven and Joyce; one brother, William; two sisters, Hazel and Christine; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. STRANGE was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.

Funeral services for James Andrew "Jim" TRUDEAU Jr., were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. The Rev. Ken Macken officiated. Burial followed in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Mr. TRUDEAU, 80 died Monday, July 10, 2000, in Tulsa. He was born April 15, 1920, to James Andrew TRUDEAU Sr. and Ida KNAPP TRUDEAU in Limon, Colo. He and his wife, Mary Ahnawake PLUNKETT TRUDEAU, were married on Jan. 2, 1971, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Wakie, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry A. and Lee ; one son and daughter-in-law  Dr. James A. III and Mary Jo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Margaret; several nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ronald N. WILLETT, 48, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.  Mr. WILLETT died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Fort Smith.  Survivors include his mother, Georgia WILLETT of Arkoma; seven sisters, Beatrice, Louise, Marie, Rose Mary, Connie, Freda and Tammy; and five brothers, Charles, Ricky, Gary, Jerry and Larry.  Mr. WILLETT was preceded in death by his father, Norman WILLETT.

Services for Bob WILLIAMS, 66, of Muldrow were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Muldrow, with the Rev. Dwayne Anderson and Tommy Williams officiating.  Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery south of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.  Mr. WILLIAMS was born Nov. 20, 1933, in Snyder, Texas. He died Thursday, July 6, 2000 at Snake Creek on Lake Tenkiller at Cookson. Survivors include his wife, Gayle VANZANDT WILLIAMS of the home; one step-daughter, Dorinda; one stepson and wife, Justin and Melissa two step-granddaughters.

Funeral services for Frank  CAPPS, 62, of Gore, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Gore, with the Elders Peter P. Hubler Jr. and Joe I. Hunt officiating. Burial was in Drake Stand Cemetery near Vian, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. CAPPS was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Vian, to Joda and Ethel (RUSSELL) CAPPS. He died Friday, July 14, 2000, at Gore. Survivors include five brothers and sisters-in-law, J.C. and Audrey, Bill and Ynema, Johnny Joe and Erma, Jimmy and Mary, and Donald Ray and Sandra; one sister and brother-in-law, Biolene and George; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr.  CAPPS was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry CAPPS.

Graveside services for Jean MORTON GOBBI, 59, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stilwell City Cemetery, with the Rev. A.J. Morton officiating. Burial was under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. GOBBI was born Dec. 28, 1940, in Stilwell, to Woodrow MORTON and Geneva (CANTRELL) MORTON. She died Satruday, July 15, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one adopted daughter, Lorie Lynn; two grandchildren; her mother, Geneva MORTON; three sisters, Fairl, Flossie and Phyllis; two brothers, F.M. and Woodrow Jr., and 14 nieces and nephews.

Burial is in Brent Cemetery south of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Mrs. COX was born March 5, 1932, in Monroe County, Ark., to Clyde CRISEL and Elsie (MORROW) CRISEL. She died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. COX married Luther COX Dec. 10, 1949, in Holly Grove, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Luther of the home; two daughters, Dianna and Judy; two sons, Andy and Nathan; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy, Opal, Bobbi Jean and Shirley; two brothers, Robert and Thomas; and seveal nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. COX was preceded in death by one son, Luther Paul COX IN 1956.

Funeral services for Charles Nelson DECKER, Sr., 65, of Lavaca, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston, Ark., with the Revs. Scott Aldrich and Raymond Chronister officiating. Burial is in Tate Cemetery northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. Mr. DECKER was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Barling, Ark., to Charles O. DECKER and Lillian Irene (SMITH) DECKER. He died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in a Fort Smith, Ark. hospital. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; two sons, Charles Jr.,  and Harold; seven daughters, Theresa, Vanessa, Wanda, Sharon, Karon, Rose and Charlene; his mother, Irene; two sisters, Pat and Doris; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Connie; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services for Don V. GOENS, SR., 81, of Van Buren, Ark., are being held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Mr. GOENS died Thursday, July 20, 2000, in Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Betty GOENS; three sons, Don Jr., Paul and Bill; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Helen.  

Funeral services for Justen Sam LOWRIMORE, 26, of Spiro, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Eastside Full Gospel Church in Spiro, with the Revs. Monroe Lowrimore and Van Barkley officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro. Mr. LOWRIMORE was born March 28, 1974, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Linda (MAYABB) LOWRIMORE. He died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in Spiro. Survivors include his Fiancee Belinda; two daughters, Shawnee and Sky; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Linda; his grandparents, Marion and Rosie; four aunts; four uncles; and numerous cousins. Mr. LOWRIMORE  was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Huston and Ruby MAYABB; one son, Colton Jay  Mize LOWRIMORE; and one uncle, Harley WOODS.

A funeral Mass for Clarence Monroe PETREE, 55, of St. Louis, Mo., was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the St. Ferdinand Church in Florissant, Mo. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, under the direction of Bucholz Valley of Flowers Mortuary in Florissant. Mr. PETREE was born Feb. 19, 1945, in Mays, to Henry and Ellie (PETREE) LASITER. He died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, St. Michaels, Barbadoes. Survivors include his wife, Janet G. PETREE; four daughters, Meredyth A., Martha J., Jennifer and husband, Robert and Gwendolyn M. ; seven grandchildren; one sister, Lavon; two brothers, James and John; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. PETREE  was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, Martha Jane PETREE.

He died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Ponca City. Survivors include his mother, Sharon Kay ARMSTRONG; one sister, LaTanda Faye; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Faye; maternal great-grandmother, Lois; several aunts and uncles, including David and Patricia.

Mrs. CONNER was born Sept. 3, 1924, to Arthur KENNEDY and Ruby Ann (MEEK) KENNEDY. She died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Muldrow. Survivors include her husband, Roy BILYEAU of the home; one daughter Mary Ann; one son, Dickie Jo; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Graveside services for Leon DRUM, 47, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Green Leaf Cemetery, with the Rev. Allison Phillips officiating. Mr. DRUM was born May 1, 1953, in Braggs, to Chester DRUM and Mattie (WILDCAT) DRUM. He died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include his father Chester; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Eric and Tina, Christopher, Kevin and Nichols; three sisters, Betty, Geraldine M., and Corinna; five brothers, Luther, Billie Ray and Chester Jr., Jessie and Johnny Glen; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.  Mr. DRUM was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie DRUM. Burial was under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee.

Burial was in Brushy Cemetery north of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Mrs. DYER was born Jan. 2, 1927, in the Hanson Community to James Wesley THOMPSON and Bonnie Mae (LESSLEY) THOMPSON. She died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Edward; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon, and Don; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda; and one brother, L.E.

Graveside services for Flora Mae Boyd GARDNER, 71, of Spiro, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the New Hope Cemetery in Spiro. Mrs. GARDNER was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Sprio, to Hugh Wesley SMITH and Beulah Marie SMITH. She died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Survivors include four sisters,  Evelyn, Retha, Rosie and Mary Sue.  Mrs. GARDNER was preceded in death by her husband, Willard BOYD; her parents; one baby sister, Sarah Elizabeth; and four brothers, John Henry, Joe, Thomas and Billy. Burial was under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro.

Funeral services for Edith HODGENS, 68, of Moffett, were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Moffett Full Gospel Church. Burial was in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.  Mrs. HODGENS died July 23, 2000, in Fort Smith. Survivors include three sons, Hardy, Gary and Paul;  seven grand children; one sister, Virginia; and one brother, Paul.

Graveside services for Presley Junior ISAAC, 73, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, with the Rev. Lynn Bullard officiating. Mr. ISAAC was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Talihina, to Boe Isaac and Lillie Bell (ALEXANDER) ISAAC. He died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Patricia ISAAC of the home; three sons, Robert Charles, Sr., Justin Eugene and Stephen Presley Sr.; two daughters, Brenda  and Ramona Sue; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorane, Helen Jean, Evelyn Louise; one brother Joe Charles; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and loved ones; and a host of friends. Mr. ISAAC was preceded in death by his parents, Boe and Lillie Bell ISAAC; one daughter, Donna Joe ISAAC; one great-granddaughter, Kristy Lynn THOMPSON; and one sister, Lora Mae EVANS. Burial was under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.

Burial is in Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home. Mrs. MATHESON was born Sept. 12, 1934, in Vian to Logan and Florence JAMISON. She died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Cox married Jack MATHESON Jan 15, 1982 in Tulsa. Survivors include her husband, Jack of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and John; one grandson; three brothers, Amos, Jack and Bob; six sisters, Ruby, Margaret, Pat,  Colleen, Mary and Rachel; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. MATHESON was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Carl, Bill and Wayne JAMISON; and one sister, Jean HALL.

Funeral services for Bill NICHOLS, 64, of Muldrow, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church, south of Muldrow, with the Revs. Jimmy Waldrop and  Rick Owens officiating. Burial is in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Roland. Mr. NICHOLS was born May 12, 1936, in Ozark, Ark., to Homer NICHOLS and Ethel (KUYKENDALL) NICHOLS. He died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Sallisaw. Mr. NICHOLS married Margaret NICHOLS on Feb. 20, 1982, in Muldrow.  Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; two sons, Anthony and Roy; nine grandchildren; one sister, Eula Faye; and one brother Thurell.

Funeral services for Ura Jean PAGE, of Sallisaw, are being held Thursday, at Blunt Baptist Church north of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Leroy Reid officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. PAGE  was born March 21, 1932, in Winchester, Ark., to Alvie ROSS and Shelly (PARUM) ROSS. She died Monday, July 24, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include five daughters, Shirley, Rosetta, Lillie, Sally and Katherine; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Lee and Roxie; and five brothers, C.B., Tommie, Aleck, Odell and Bobby Joe.

Mrs. PARRIS was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Buffalo, New York, to Vincent Michael PALMISANO and Kathryn Isobel (HUGGINS) PALMISANO. She died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Vian. Survivors include her husband, Earnest PARRIS Sr. of the home; two daughters, Dena Kaye and Mary; two sons, Michael and Bruce Jr.; three stepchildren; 13 grandchildren;  four brothers, Larry, Chuck, Ronnie and Robert; her mother Kathryn; one sister, Linda. Mrs. PARRIS was preceded in death by her father in 1955. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home.

She died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. Sharp married Bob SHARP on Nov. 14, 1959, in Stilwell.  Survivors include her husband, Bob of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and David and Lisa and Danny; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Kim, Gary and Jerri  and Michael and Misty; nine grandchildren; one sister, Nadine; and four brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Jack and Jerry. Mrs. SHARP was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Nathaniel COPELAND; and one sister Margaret Louise O'NEAL.

Alison Phillips officiating. Mr. ST. JOHN was born April 5, 1950, in Tahlequah to Charles Barritt ST. JOHN, SR. and Virginia Joyce (McCOY) ST. JOHN. He died Monday, July 24, 2000, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include his companion, Mary BOWLES of the home;  his mother, Virginia Joyce; four sisters, Charlene, Edith, Sylvia and Saphronia; one brother, Herbert; and other special family members. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home.

Mr. TAYLOR was born Aug. 6, 1960, in Van Buren, Ark., to Lige TAYLOR, Sr.  and Ruby Lee (STEWART) TAYLOR. He died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in Vian. Survivors include his friend Annette; one daughter, Brittany; his mother, Ruby; five sisters, Effie, Shirley, Marilyn, Wanda and Sandra; two brothers, L.G. and Donald Ray; his maternal grandmother, Ethel; and several aunts and uncles. Mr. TAYLOR  was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Ezola TAYLOR; and one brother, Lige TAYLOR Jr.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home. Mrs. YOUNG was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Harrison, Ark., to Walter CARR and Essie (FARMER) CARR. She died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, Alfred Dee YOUNG: two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy A. and Susan and Steve D and Janetta; one daughter and son-in-law, Janetta and Darin; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Frankie.  Mrs. YOUNG was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dee YOUNG; her parents Walter and Essie CARR; one sister; and two brothers.

Mr. CARDIN was born June 15, 1969, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Coy Vincent CARDIN Sr., and Myria Jane "Janie" CARDIN.  He died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, in Fort Smith. Survivors include one son, Nicholas; his mother Janie; two sisters, Marlene and Denise.; two nieces; two nephews; and several aunts and uncles.  Mr. CARDIN was preceded in death by his father, Coy CARDIN, Sr., on Dec. 5, 1999.

Mr. GORMLEY  was born May 25, 1949, in Houston, to Francis Isaac GORMLEY and Stella Adelia (DODSON) GORMLEY. He died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, in Stigler. Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Francene and Willie Mae and Eddy; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Vicki; and one aunt, Willie Mae. Mr. GORMLEY was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Stella GORMLEY.

Mrs. Luttrell was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Sand Springs, to John Sewell CRUTCHFIELD and Lady Hyacinth (SPARKS) CRUTCHFIELD. She died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Mrs. LUTTRELL married Ray LUTTRELL, Dec. 5, 1970, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include her husband, Ray LUTTRELL of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Geral and Janet, Gary and Gennie, Rickey and Elizabeth and James; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Jo, Patricia and Linda; two brothers, Johnnie  and Richard; and her mother-in-law, Willie.

Funeral services for Dr. Jerry Leroy PANTER, Ed.D., 57, of Okmulgee, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee. (WOFFORD) PANTER. He died Thursday, July 20, 2000, in Okmulgee. Dr. PANTER married Virginia Louise (SELF) PANTER on Aug. 18, 1963, in McAlester. Survivors include his wife, Virginia PANTER of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and John and Leah; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Martha; other relatives and many friends. He died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Muskogee.  Survivors include his wife, Inez COLE WRIGHT; two daughters, Patricia and Barbara; six sons, James, Gary, Ronald, Gerald Jr., Scotty and Bobby;  three sisters, Sandra, Wanda and Wilma; eight brothers, Henderson, Nathan, Jerry Lee, Bill, Gary, Fred, Louis and Curtis; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his step-mother, Anella.
