Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. ATKESON was born July 19, 1908, in Sallisaw, to James William HELTON and Polly (LUNA) HELTON. She died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in Sallisaw. Mrs. ATKESON married Bill ATKESON Dec. 19, 1938, in Phoenix, He preceded her in death in 1938. Survivors include two sisters, Susan and Lillian; and several nieces and nephews, including Ruth Ann.

Funeral services for Gregory Lee CASSADY, 44, of Edmond, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at Baggerly Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond with the Rev. Dan Bryson officiating. Burial was in memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home. Mr. CASSADY was born June 15, 1956. He died Saturday, June 17, 2000. Survivors include his wife, Sandy of the home; one son, Matt; his father Floyd "Dude"; and numerous family and friends. Mr. CASSADY was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene JAMES CASSADY; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Bonnie CASSADY; maternal grandmother, Hazel JAMES and maternal grandfather, Obid JAMES.

Mrs. CHEATER was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Jay, to Joe CHEATER and Gayahhi (SHARP) CHEATER. Survivors include two daughters, Sallie and Lucille; two sons, Thomas and Charley; 26 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Watt. Mrs. CHEATER was preceded in death by her parents; one son, George CHRISTIE; two brothers, Jack CHEATER, and Dave CHEATER; and one half-brother, Lee WATERMELON.

Graveside services for Leonard Franklin COWAN, 89, of Gans were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Gans Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne I. Hall officiating. Burial was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. COWAN was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Gans, to Benjamin Franklin COWAN and Bessie (LUTHER) COWAN. He died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. COWAN married Katie Pauline WRIGHT in 1939, in Stilwell. She preceded him in death Dec. 19, 1958. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy, Sue and Sharon; two sons, Bobby and Bennie M.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian. Mr. COWAN was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Rhonda Jean WATERS in 1994 and Angel TEAGUE HAMILTON in 1995; and two grandsons, Terry Allen BARNUM and Lonnie Dean WATERS both in 1985.

Survivors include her husband, Harlan FARMER of the home; one son, Paul; one brother, Randy; and one sister, Denise; her mother-in-law, Lela; one sister-in-law, Tamara; one brother-in-law, Phillip; one nephew, one niece; and countless friends and co-workers. Mrs. FARMER was preceded in death by her parents Billy Houston and Dora Rae COMBEST of Duncan; and her father-in-law, Ray Harlan FARMER of Sallisaw.

She died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son, Dan Eugene; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. GLASS was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Gwyn MEANS; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Burial was in Drake Stand Cemetery west of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. SPARKS was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Sallisaw, to Charles SPARKS and Maude (WESSON) SPARKS. He died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. SPARKS married Ouita Jackie DODD on April 14, 1947, in Bakersfield. Survivors include his wife, Jackie of the home; five daughters, Freda, Sue, Pat, Marcia and Sarah; four sons, Don, Joe, Charles and Mike; 45 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one sister Dollie; one brother, Drue; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. STUBER was born July 14, 1917, in Vian, to Willie Cleveland PATTERSON and Edna Lavada (SEAY) PATTERSON. She died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. STUBER married Sidney Lee McFADDEN June 21, 1935, in Vian. He preceded her in death July 28, 1966. She married Harry Howard STUBER Oct. 24, 1979 in Stilwell. He preceded her in death June 15, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Velma Lee and Barbara Sue; one son, Charles Wendell; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby.

He died Monday, June 26, 2000, in Tulsa at Hillcrest Medical Center. Mr. VAUGHAN married Donna WILDEROM on Feb. 28, 1953, in Wichita, Kan. Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; one son, Rick; three daughter, Debra, Lori and Stephanie; five grandchildren; three brothers, Loyd, Jerl and Roger; and three sisters, Joyce, Shirley and Carolyn; Mr. VAUGHAN was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Christina; and one brother, Baby Boy VAUGHAN.

He died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Tulsa. Survivors include one son, Danny; one uncle, Warren G.; one aunt, Agnes; and several cousins and other relatives.

KNIGHT HARRIS in June, 1984, in Muskogee. Survivors include his wife, Martha E. HARRIS of the home; two sisters, Margaret and Ruth Ann; his step-parents, H.J. and Lillian; and one brother-in-law, Frank.

Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Mrs. SMITH was born May 22, 1921, in Mannford, to Robert L. and Isaac "Ike" Marie (HARRELL) WALKER of Hanson. She died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Muskogee. Mrs. SMITH married A. Newell SMITH on Dec. 27, 1938, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Cindy; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Seba ; two nephews; special friends and adopted daughters; Pat and Debbie. Mrs. SMITH was preceded in death by her husband, A. Newell SMITH in August of 1995, and her parents.

Burial will be in Willow Creek Farms at a later date, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Mr. SPRADLIN died Saturday, July 1, 2000, near Cass, Ark. Survivors include his parents, Howard "Buddy" and Linda SPRADLIN of the home; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Steven and Jo Lynn and Mark and Paige, gReg and Amparo , and Adam Joseph; two nephews and four nieces.

SPRINGWATER and Katie Ruth (ROGERS) SPRINGWATER. He died Monday, July 3, 2000, in Fort Smith. Mr. SPRINGWATER married Della Faye AKIN on Aug. 10, 1991, in Barling, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Della F. Survivors include his wife, Debbie FISHER POWELL of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Alena; two brothers, Tommy and Jimmy; and five sisters, Doris, Barbara, Patsy, Glenda and Kathy. Mr. POWELL was preceded in death by his parents.

Mrs. DAVIS was born Sept. 15, 1910, in Dean Springs, Ark., to Lewis James MATTHEWS and Parmelia Ann (ANDERSON) MATTHEWS. She died Friday, July 7, 2000, in Sallisaw. Mrs. DAVIS married Thomas Estle DAVIS on June 22, 1928, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death March 7, 1991. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth, Mona and Glenda; four sons, Vernon, Harold, Thomas E. Jr., and Jimmie D.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Lessie. Mrs. DAVIS was also preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi DAVIS and one grandson, Thomas E. DAVIS III in 1998.

Mrs. LEE was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, to Wade Ray and Mary (COOK) RAY. She died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. LEE married O.S. LEE in 1935, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death in January 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Ruby and Ruth; three sons, Carl, Rex and Jerry; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. LEE was also preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Mr. Noah STRANGE, 77, of Monmouth, Ill., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Community Medical Center in Monmouth. He was born July 18, 1922, in Kentucky, to Moss Cecil and Emma Susan (SANDERS) STRANGE. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Laura, Cecil and Vickii, and Steven and Joyce; one brother, William; two sisters, Hazel and Christine; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. STRANGE was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.

Burial followed in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Mr. TRUDEAU, 80 died Monday, July 10, 2000, in Tulsa. He was born April 15, 1920, to James Andrew TRUDEAU Sr. and Ida KNAPP TRUDEAU in Limon, Colo. He and his wife, Mary Ahnawake PLUNKETT TRUDEAU, were married on Jan. 2, 1971, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Wakie, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry A. and Lee ; one son and daughter-in-law Dr. James A. III and Mary Jo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Margaret; several nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Mr. WILLETT died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his mother, Georgia WILLETT of Arkoma; seven sisters, Beatrice, Louise, Marie, Rose Mary, Connie, Freda and Tammy; and five brothers, Charles, Ricky, Gary, Jerry and Larry. Survivors include five brothers and sisters-in-law, J.C. and Audrey, Bill and Ynema, Johnny Joe and Erma, Jimmy and Mary, and Donald Ray and Sandra; one sister and brother-in-law, Biolene and George; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. CAPPS was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry CAPPS.

She died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. COX married Luther COX Dec. 10, 1949, in Holly Grove, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Luther of the home; two daughters, Dianna and Judy; two sons, Andy and Nathan; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy, Opal, Bobbi Jean and Shirley; two brothers, Robert and Thomas; and seveal nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Survivors include his wife, Janet G.
