Funeral services for Alice "Coonie" ADAMS, 72, of Vian, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Vian with the Revs. Dale Ritter and Chris Armer officiating. Burial is in Gore City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. ADAMS was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Yellowhammer, to Fred TAYLOR and Mary (CARROLL) TAYLOR. She died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in Barling, Ark. She married Bobby HOWARD, June 5, 1954, in San Lorenzo, Calif. Survivors include her husband, Bobby of the home; two daughters, Brenda and Bertha Kaye; three sons, Keith, Anthony and Jeffrey; one brother, Clydie; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Harley V. CUDE, 73, of Webbers Falls, were held at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls with Dr. Thomas Thorne and the Rev. Wendell Cox officiating. Burial was in Vaught Cemetery, in Webbers Falls, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. CUDE was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Webbers Falls, to Virgil and Sarah (PHILLIPS) CUDE. He died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Webbers Falls. He married Ellen HUNTER, June 28, 1954. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ellen CUDE of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Stanley, and Carolyn and William White; four grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one brother, Richard; and one sister, Afton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Irish MOWERY and two brothers, Eual and Rual CUDE.
Funeral services for William Vernon DODD, 90, of Enid, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. with the Rev. Don Tines officiating. Burial was in the Garden Chapel, in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. DODD was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Sallisaw, to Robert A. and Loner (BURGIN) DODD. He died Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He married Zelda BOGGS, June 12, 1938. Survivors include his wife, Zelda of the home; one daughter, Lona Mae; grandson; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one son-in-law.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue OLLIE of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Craig and Mardel, and Gary Charles and Kay; daughter and son-in-law, Georgia Kay and Jerry; sister, Hiolah Bernice; brother, Grady Carroll; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Kay and Gary, and Diane Louise and Robert; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katie (CRAIG) OLLIE on Aug. 10, 2004, two brothers, C.V. and J.D. OLLIE and his parents.

Mrs. SHAMBLIN was born June 9, 1924, in Muldrow, to Floyd Franklin FRASIER and Vina Nancy (EDWARDS) FRASIER. She died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Kenneth RHODES, Oct. 16, 1948, in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death, July 18, 1991, Fort Smith. She married Verlin SHAMBLIN, Sept. 16, 1995, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Verlin of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and David; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, James RHODES, parents, one brother, George FRASIER, two sisters, Hattie BRUCE and Wilma CORBITT, and one grandson, Davy PARSONS.

Brad Cartmill officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BAKER was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Harley BAKER and Ruby LUCY. She died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Muskogee. Survivors include three sisters, Betty, Margie and Carol; six brothers, Bob BAKER and Gary, Jim, Ronnie, and Randy and Kim; and mother, Ruby LOWE. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lynn LOWE.

Survivors include three daughters, Elrita, Anita and her husband, Melvin Daniel, and Ladeana and her husband, Waylon; two sons, Calvin and David; three sisters, Elouise, Nellie Sue and Molly; two brothers, Alex and Sam; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three special friends, Betty, Polly and Shirley. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Dora Louise; one great-granddaughter; three great-great-grandsons; two sisters, Mable and Velma; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Survivors include his wife, Odie of the home; three daughters, Shirley and her husband, Tommy, Julie and her husband, Pat, and Susan and her husband, Roy; three sons, William "Bill" and his wife, Dixie, Johnny Dale and his wife, Loretta, and Michael; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
