Jimmy Wayne BARNUM, 56, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Monday, May 29, 2000, in Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 2, 1943, in Bakersfield, Calif., to William Carvine BARNUM and Mary Leota (TIPPIN) BARNUM. He married Peggy Ruth COWAN Dec. 5, 1962, in Arvin, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Peggy R. BARNUM of the home; one daughter, Renee; three grandchildren; and four brothers, James, Donald, Billy and Gaylord. One son, Terry Allen BARNUM, preceded Mr. BARNUM in death in 1985 in Arvin, Calif. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Mrs. BEAVER was born Dec. 27, 1903, in Marble City, Indian Territory, to Dave and Betty (GARVIN) BUSH. She died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in a Sallisaw nursing home. Survivors include one sister, Haster; and three brothers, L.D., Rider and Tom. Mrs. BEAVER was preceded in death by her husband, Steve BEAVER; three sister, Sally BUSH, Maude PIGEON and Easter PIGEON; and three brothers, Sam BUSH, Ben BUSH and Robert BUSH. Mrs. GARCIA was born Jan. 17, 1933, in Paoli, to Freeman Percy DEATON and Lillie (WALKER) DEATON. She died Monday May 29, 2000, in Sallisaw. Robert Lee "Bobby" PHILLIPS, 25, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Acorn, Ark., died Thursday, May 25, 2000. Amos EUBANKS, 63, of Van Buren, Ark., died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in a local nursing home. Private family committal of cremains will be at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Survivors include three sisters, Mattie, Ruth and Sue; one brother, Bud; and several cousins including Daisy, Rosemary and Pat.

He married Sandra Rae FORDYCE Aug. 6, 1991, in Fresno, Calif. He preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1998. Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery in Caledonia, Mo., under the direction of Britton Funeral Home in Potosi. Mr. FOX was born April 7, 1935, in Illinois, to Elmer and Bessie (SWINFORD) FOXX. He died Monday, June 5, 2000, in Sallisaw. He married Irma Jean McCLAIN Sept. 2, 1956, in Bellview. Survivors include his wife, Irma FOXX of the home; one daughter Kathy Jean; one son, Ricky William; three grandchildren; one sister, Shirley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. FOXX was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy FOXX in 1961.

Edward Stinson FRYE, 72, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Monday, June 5, 2000 at his home. Burial of Cremains were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Memorial services followed at 10:30 a.m. at Roebuck Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; two sons, William Charles and Dr. Edward Kent; one daughter, Karen Jean; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary; and one brother, Charles Oliver. Mr. FRYE was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Oliver FRYE and Mary ANDERSON FRYE.

He died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Muskogee. Survivors include three sons, Bill, Terry and Gary; two daughters, Carol and Shelly; one brother, Bill; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. ABEL was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kim ABEL.
