Funeral services for Carl David BROWN, 56, of Porum are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Porum with the Revs. Ron Snow, Harmon Hiser and Doyle Davis officiating. Burial is in Fields Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Stigler. Mr. BROWN was born July 9, 1944, in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Floyd Red BROWN and Florene (MENDENHALL) BROWN. He died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, in Porum. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home; five daughters, Annette, Patricia, Lynette, Joy, and Kim; three sons, Floyd, Daniel and Teddy; one sister, Kathey; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Susan BROWN.

Funeral services for Harley Earl CARLTON, 54, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in the Vian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mr. CARLTON died Monday, May 28. Survivors include his wife, Paula CARLTON of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve and Camille,  and Jeff; one daughter, Tania; five grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie and Oscar; and two sisters, Phyllis and Diane.

Funeral services for John B. "Peach" CASEY, 73, of Tulsa formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Carl Rosin officiating. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. CASEY  was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Vian to John Wesley CASEY and Bertha Elizabeth (WATSON) CASEY. He died Wednesday, May 20, 2001, Tulsa. He married Barbara Lee McEVER April 14, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Barbara L. CASEY of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Bivra Joann and Dale; two grandchildren; his mother, Bertha CASEY; four sisters, Doris, Bivra, Joyce and Bonnie. Mr. CASEY was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley CASEY and two brothers, Donald CASEY and Michael CASEY.

Funeral services for Calvin SUMPTER , 56, of Bunch, were held March 19, in the Hart Memorial Chapel in Stilwell, with the Rev. Don Waldrop officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hart Funeral Home in Stilwell. Mr. SUMPTER was born May 31, 1944, in Gore, to Andrew and Almeda (BROWN) SUMPTER. He died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Stilwell. He married Loretta SMITH Dec. 28, 1984, in Miami. Survivors include his wife, Loretta, of Bunch; two daughters, Renee and Phylis Almeda; one son, Jeffrey Robert; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Howard, Arvel and Harold; two sisters, Doris and Mary Ruth; and several nieces, nephews, and other friends and loved ones. Mr. SUMPTER was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Almeda SUMPTER; two brothers, Clifford and Jim SUMPTER; and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Katey MONK.

Funeral services for Hettie GRIGSBY PRICE, 84, of Tulsa, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller Chapel in Paris, Ark. Burial was in Barnhill Cemetery, in Magazine, Ark., under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Mrs. PRICE died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Tulsa. Survivors include four daughters, Joann, Linda, Dorothy and Charlie K.; one son, Jerry; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude William PRICE, and her parents, Charley Thomas GRIGSBY and Samantha Jane (EVERETT) GRIGSBY.

Pauline COMBS, 84, of Shawnee died on Sunday, June 3, 2001. Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Shawnee with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. COMBS  was born April 9, 1917, in Sallisaw to Jeff and Ora (McCLANAHAN) DIFFEE. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her children, Pat, James D., and Glenna; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren;and one brother, Bob. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. COMBS and two great-grandchildren, Christina VITT and Jesse HAMMER.

Ester M. CONLEY, 70, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Sunday, june 3, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Fort Smith with burial in Spiegel Cemetery in Bloomer, Ark. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Mrs. CONLEY is survived by her husband of  51 years, George CONLEY. Survivors  also include one daughter, Robin; one son, Michael G.; one brother, Kendall; and six grandchildren.

Services for Faye DORITY, 57, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brushy Cemetery, north of Sallisaw. The rev. Clifton Pettit officiated at the services which were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Jan. 19, 1944, to Burley Wesley PETREE  and Hazel RIGGS PETREE in Sallisaw. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Judy; three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Phyllis, Patsy, Shirley and Sybil; four brothers, Carl, Roger, Don and Adam; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mrs. DORITY was preceded in death by one sister, Dyhana MOWDY, on Feb. 22, 1993.

Marion Mark GRUBBS, 67, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Tuesday June 5, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. he was cremated under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Marlene; three sons, Darrion Wayne, Mark and Gary; six grandchildren; one sister, Amy; two brothers, Wylie and Malcom.

Graveside services for Billie HOLLAWAY, 77, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw with Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Mr. HOLLAWAY was born October 16, 1923, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Sam HOLLAWAY and Allie (BATES) HOLLAWAY. He died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Sally and Wanda; one son, Kevin; four grandchildren;six great-grandchildren;two special friends, Carol and Byron. He married Eva Louise Aug. 10,1953 in Van Buren, she preceded him in death Aug. 20, 1997. Mr. HOLLAWAY was also preceded in death by one son, Billie HOLLAWAY in 1966.

Graveside services for Anna Lee HUDDLESTON, 80, of Fort Smith, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gregory Cemetery, Alma, Ark. under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. HUDDLESTON died June 2, 2001. Survivors include four daughters, Mary, Barbara, Trudy and Marilyn; five sons, Bobby, Billy, Gene, James and Earl; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Lou, Emily and Veda; one brother, Jerry Don.

Funeral services for J.C. McGEE Jr., 84, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Fentress Chapel in Fort Smith with burial in U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. Mr. McGEE died Sunday, May 27, 2001, Nashville, Tenn. Survivors include one daughter Nancy; one son, David; three grandchildren; one sister, Inez; one brother, Marshall. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann McGEE.

Funeral services for Mathew "Matt" MADEN, 79, of Pocola will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Evans & Miller Chapel in Pocola, with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Evan & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola. Mr. MADEN was born Nov. 19, 1922 in Farmer City, Ill. He married Mary, his wife of 58 years on Oct. 1, 1942. He died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Pocola. Survivors include his wife, Mary MADEN of the home; three sons, Larry, Terry and Anthony; four daughters, Karen, Elizabeth, Mary and Kathy; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death one son, Kenneth Gene MADEN and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Aubrey Rabon MIDDLETON, 62, of Muldrow, were  held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow with the Rev. Wayne Hall and the Rev. Sean Money officiating. Burial was in Redland Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow. Mr. MIDDLETON was born July 7, 1938, in Redland Community to Raymond Richard MIDDLETON and Arlene Ryan MIDDLETON. He died Friday, June 1, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. MIDDLETON is survived by his wife, the former Emma Fern RUSSELL, who he married on Aug. 31, 1956, in Muldrow. Survivors also include two daughters and one  son-in-law, Ronda and Steve, and Deana; three grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Shirley and Brenda; and one brother, Burley. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon MIDDLETON.

Robert MILLAR, the spiritual leader of Elohim City, northeast of Muldrow, died  on May 28 at St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial was on the grounds of Elohim City. Memorial services are planned Saturday at the church in Elohim City. Mr. MILLAR was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Ontario, Canada.  Survivors include four sons, John,  Bruce, Robert and David; 58 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Mr. MILLAR was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, who died April 28, 1999.

Funeral services for Elma Estalene "Billie" SHORTER, 89, of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Kiesau Memorial Chapel in Clinton. Burial was in Page Cemetery, in Burns Flat, under the direction of Kiesau-Marler Funeral Home. Mrs. SHORTER was born November 27, 1912 to Napoleon Clayton BROWNING and Dora Ruth (REEDER) BROWNING in Foss. She died Friday, June 1. She married Darrel D. SHORTER on October 9, 1931. Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine and her husband Vern, Billie and her husband, L.G.; one son, Frankie and his wife Patty; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell D. SHORTER; parents and 12 siblings.

Graveside services for Miss Martha Shannon WHEELER, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Sallisaw City Cemetery. Miss WHEELER died Saturday night June 2, 2001, in Dallas, Texas. Miss WHEELER was born April 24, 1921, in Sallisaw to W.W. WHEELER Jr. and Jessie EMMA (MECHAM) WHEELER, both of whom preceeded her in death, as have four brothers, Will Watie WHEELER III, John Mecham WHEELER, Dr. Homer Clark WHEELER and Edwin Perry WHEELER. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Millie; three nieces,  and one nephew. The Rev. David Clewell, minister of the Sallisaw First Methodist Church, will officiate and services are under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Homer Earl WOMACK, 45, of Hartford, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the Midland First Baptist Church. Burial was in West Harmony Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Hartford, Ark. Mr. WOMACK died Sunday, June 3, 2001. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann WOMACK of the home; four sons, Mike and his wife Lisa, Billy, David, and Kenny and his wife Erin; five grandchildren; his parents, Otis and Lavaughn WOMACK; two brothers, Sonny and Dan;six sisters, Naomi, Sharon, Mary, Brenda, Donna and Melanie.

Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. ALBERTSON died Tuesday, June 5, 2001. Survivors include his wife, Reba of the home; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Carl and Valorie and Mark and Sandra and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dallas Mae BONNER, 59, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. with burial in Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark. Mrs. BONNER died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 in a local hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Janice and Lily; two sons, Jackie and Tommy; one sister, Anne; two brothers, James and Jackie; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie "Butch" BONNER.

Retired Priest Neal Edward BROGAN, 67, of the Roman Catholic Diocese in Tulsa, formerly pastor of St. Francis Catholic Church in Sallisaw, died at his home in Henryetta, earlier this week. The Wake service will be Sunday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Henryetta. Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith, Ark. with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Fort Smith. Father BROGAN was born in Fort Smith, Feb. 1, 1934.

Funeral services for Gail "Patsy" BUTLER, 47, of Tulsa (formerly of Moffett) were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Moffett with Rev. Earnest Lambert officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. BUTLER was born July 9, 1953 in Moffett to Jeremiah JONES and Sylbia POSEY JONES. She died Friday, June 1, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital.  Survivors include her husband, Jessie BUTLER; two sons, Garland and Graylon; two step-sons, Dennis and Ottis; four sisters, Lola, Evelyn, Rosemary and Francis; and three brothers, Troy, Archie and Terry.

Funeral services for Karma J. LEACH , 83, of Sallisaw, are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Agent Chapel, with Revs. Dr. Lee Woodard and Johnny Watkins. Burial will be in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. LEACH was born February 11, 1918, in Brightwater, Ark. to Talton F. FOSTER and Lydia (TRUEBLOOD) FOSTER. She died June 4, 2001 in Sallisaw.She married Raymond Cicero "Ray" LEACH on Sept. 15, 1961. He preceded her in death, Aug. 12, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her lst husband J. Wesley ROBERTS on Feb. 11, 1959 whom she married in 1939 and one daughter, Sarah Rae LEACH in 1965. Survivors include one sister, Bernice; one half-sister, Pauline; one brother, James; two half-brothers, Donald and Clinton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Kimberly Sue RAGSDALE, an infant, of Roland, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in Upper Camp Creek Cemetery. She was born May 31, 2001, in a Tulsa hospital. Survivors include her parents; twin sister, Kaela; three brothers, Patrick, Levi and Kobe; grandparents, Stella, Ron, Eldon, Shannon,and Betty.

Graveside services for Katherine Grace SCOGGINS, an infant, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Mark Deen officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. She was born June 5, 2001, in Tulsa to Freddy SCOGGINS Jr. and Jennifer (O'NEAL) SCOGGINS. She died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 in Tulsa. Survivors include her parents; one sister, Hannah; paternal grandparents, Freddie Sr. and Lucy; Maternal grandparents, Mike and Terri and Jack and jackie; paternal great-grandmother, Nellie; maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle; three aunts, Shelly, Sandy and Sarah; and one uncle Theron. She was preceded in death by one uncle, Kyle O'NEAL.

Gladys M. SHERWOOD, 84, of Geuda Springs, died Wednesday June 6, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2001 at the Blessing Heights Church of God in Arkansas City. Interment will follow in the Geuda Springs Cemetery. Gladys was born June 8, 1916 to George and Matilda (MARTIN) RISENHOOVER in Brushy Mountain, Sallisaw. On September 3, 1933 she married L.D. SHERWOOD in Sallisaw. She is survived by three daughters, Janet, Kay, Barbara; sister, Norma; three granddaughters, Debbie, Sherri and Julie; two grandsons; seven stepgrandchildren, eight step great-grandchild and eighteen step great-great-grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Claud, Jim and Buck RISENHOOVER; three sisters, Annie HILL, Sarah ARMSTRONG and Hattie KELTON. Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City is in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services for Dorothy TOUCHSTONE, 71, of Sprio are being at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roland Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Langley officiating. Burial is in Roland Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. Mrs. TOUCHSTONE died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 in Spiro. She was born November 17, 1929, in Dyerburg, Tenn. to William Jefferson ROWELL and Annie Mae (KENNEDY) ROWELL. Survivors include one daughter, Linda and husband, Roger; one grandchild;one great-grandchild; two sisters, Wilma and Joann; four brothers, Richard, Walter, Charles and Bobby. She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd TOUCHSTONE, her parents and one brother, Aaron RAMOS.

Memorial services for Dorothy Margaret WEAVEL, 76, of Salinas, Calif. are being held  July 27, 2001, under the direction of Mission Mortuary of Monterey, Calif. Mrs. WEAVEL was born September 10, 1924, in Buffalo, N.Y. She died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Pacific Coast Care of natural causes. Survivors include four daughters, Ellen, Gioia, Jan, and Joan; four grandchildren; one brother, Joseph F.; one sister, Mary Lynn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Mose WEAVEL

Burial was in Fields Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. ADAMS was born August 7, 1951 in Tahlequah to Clarence MORGAN and Ollie BOSTON. She died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Jim ADAMS of the home; three daughters, Shelly, Tammy and Kimberly; four grandchildren; two sisters, Frances and Lula Mae and two brothers, Tommy and Junior.

Funeral services for Shelbi Nikole BAKER, 23, of Moore, are being held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Eagle Heights Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, with Revs. Randy Morgan and Mike Raines officiating. Burial is in Moore City Cemetery, under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel of Moore.  Mrs. BAKER died Sunday, June 10, 2001. She was born March 15, 1978, in Midwest City to Shelby WILLIAMS and Barbara Ann (MOORE) WILLIAMS.  She married Brad BAKER on September 25, 1999 in Norman. Survivors include her husband Brad BAKER of the home; her parents; two sisters, Melanie Ann and Jilly Ashleigh; grandparents, Monroe and Helen MOORE.

Funeral services for Luther T. BUSH, 72, of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Lee's Chapel Church with Rev. Phil Tally officiating. Burial was in Lee's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BUSH was born November 11, 1928, in Crowder, to Luther Lonzo BUSH and Naomi (McCRACKLIN) BUSH. He died Friday, June 8, 2001 in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ann (GODWIN) BUSH of the home; two sons, Tommy Lee and  his wife, Elaine, and Lonnie Sullivan; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Allie. Mr. BUSH was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Paul Loyd CROSSLIN, 81, of Tahlequah, are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Mr. CROSSLIN died Monday, June 11, 2001 in Tahlequah. He was born March 18, 1920, in Gans, to george CROSSLIN and Lillie (WRIGHT) CROSSLIN. Mr. CROSSLIN married Louise DIFFEE on July 18, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Lillie CROSSLIN; one son and daughter-in-law, Alvon and Bill; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;three sisters, Mary and Louis, Ruth and Rockie, and Martha Sue and Jack; three brothers, Joe and Florine, and Jimmy and Joan, and Frankie and Jo; also several friends, loved ones and other relatives.

Graveside services for Robert L. PIERCE, 50, of Fort Smith, Ark. are being held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sallisaw City Cemetery. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of  Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He died Monday, June 11, 2001, in his home. Survivors include two daughters, Heather and Kimberly; two grandchildren; one sister, Billie.

 Funeral services for Curtis Bill ROBERTS, 79, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. ROBERTS was born July 6, 1921, in Sequoyah County, to Willie Gray "Doc" ROBERTS and Vivian Naomi (BARNES) ROBERTS. He died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mr. ROBERTS married Sivilla Mae MARTINDALE on February 12, 1948 in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Savilla of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Linda and Ronnie and Kelli; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris and Callie. Mr. ROBERTS is preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Floyd Gabriel CODAY and two sisters, Opal O'DONNELL and Marie MOORE.

Burial was in Gans Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. RUSSELL died Saturday, June 9, 2001, in Sallisaw. She was born August 7, 1926, in Gans to Ed.L. CALLOWAY and Sophia (WRIGHT) CALLOWAY. Survivors include her husband, Dallas RUSSELL of Sallisaw; three brothers, Elwayne, Vernon and Odie; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by one sister, Florene who died as a child and one brother, Alton CALLOWAY who died in World War II.

Funeral services for Pluma WALTERS, 87, of Sallisaw will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Sallisaw First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Zinck officiating. She died June 10, 2001, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Ray G. and Helen; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Adren WALTERS; two sister, Mary Lou CLAYBROOK and Anna Lee DETHEROW; and three brothers, Grady, Arthur and Leon PETERS.

Graveside services for Mattie Mae BROWN, 82, of Heavener, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Zoe Cemetery in Hodgen, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. Mrs. BROWN died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in Heavener. She was a life long resident of the area and a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church in Big Creek community. Survivors include two daughters, Mary "Pooch" WATTS of Heavener and Norma HART of Gore; four sons, Thomas "Tink" BROWN of Wister, Henry BROWN of Poteau, Clarence W. "Bill" BROWN and James "Pee Wee" BROWN both of Heavener; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence BROWN.

Funeral services for Frank ISRAEL, 85, of Carroliton, Texas, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. May 13, 2001, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Farmers Branch, Texas, with Bishop Kent Robertson officiating, under the direction of Rhoton Funeral Home of Carroliton. Interment and Military Honors followed at Dallas, Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1 p.m. Mr. ISRAEL died Wednesday, May 9, at his home. He was preceded in death September 1975 by his son, Bruce ISRAEL  of Ruidoso, N.M. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wanda of Carroliton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank G. and wife Barbara, and Gary P. and wife Jean; nine grandchildren.

Burial was in the Gentry Cemetery in Greenwood, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Mr. KIRKHAM died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.  Survivors include one daughter, Melody; two grandchildren; two sisters, Allen and rose; five brothers, Johnny, Calvin, Danny, Ray and Eddie; 16 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Linda STRINGER, 59, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark.Burial was in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. STRINGER died Tuesday, June 12, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Don STRINGER; three daughters,  Debra Sue,  Soundra Renee and Bernita Joan; five sons, Jimmy Don, Anthony Paul, Jimmy Lynn,  Bradley Dean and Brandon Dewayne; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Joan, June and Tawie; and one brother, Jim.

She died Friday, June 15, 2001. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann and Linda Carol; one son, Frankie Ray; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. . She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray R. ANGLEN who she married in 1937; two brothers, Verlan COWAN and Leonard COWAN and one sister, Lela HALL.

Burial will be in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. CAPPS died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Commerce. She was born March 31, 1904, in Van Buren, Ark., to Marion Calvin CASSADY and Sarah Elisa TEMPLE CASSADY. She married Oscar Elmer CAPPS on October 6, 1927 in Sallisaw. he died in 1972. Survivors include two daughters, Billie Marie and Iva Lee; one son, Dr. Emerson; six grandchildren, Shaun and Darrell, Laura , Melissa, and Matthew and Michael; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his mother, Karen JONES of the home; maternal grandmother, Shirley; Joe M. Sr.;  paternal grandmother, Freddie, Elmyra, Velma, Erma and Blanche, Regina R , Kolette and Karla; seven uncles, David McNAMEE of Muskogee, Clyde , Fred , Joe M. Jr., Antonio and Shawn E. , and Sgt. Paul R.; host of cousins, great-aunts and great- uncles. He was born March 13, 1915 in Braggs to Tom BLEVINS and Rachel ALCORN BLEVINS. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, W.L. "Dub" and Clarence and Leo; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Raymond BLEVINS; one sister, Cleo BLANKENSHIP; and his wife, Kathryn BLEVINS.

She was born February 21, 1925, in Kushiu, Japan to Sadiamon Kono and Ushigima KONO. She married Clarion E. "Butter" BLEVINS on Feb. 18, 1971 in Tokyo, Japan. She married Marvin William HARVEY on June 30, 1931 in Lewisville, Ark. he preceded her in death December 9, 1963. She was married to Carl Byrd ROSIN on August 2, 1954, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1988. Survivors include five sons, Leon, Carl, John, Dwain, and Eddie;17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; one sisters, Jeannie; three brothers, Lewis, Dwain and George.

Dr. William McKesson WILSON, D.O., 90, of Sallisaw, died Tuesday at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Marcus Barnett, David Clewell and Rodney Roberson officiating. Assisting is Minerva Roberts. Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Dr. WILSON was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Twin Rocks, Penn., to James S. WILSON and Clara A. (SWIFT) WILSON. Dr. WILSON married Margaret Delrose STUBY WILSON Aug. 12, 1936, in Williston, W.Va. She preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 1986. Survivors include one daughter, Debra Margaret; three sons, James G., William M. Jr., and William Murrel;10 grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Donna WILSON MURRELL, and one granddaughter, Rebecca Cheyenne FERGUSON.
