Funeral services for Jessie FLIPPIN, 94, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at the First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with Revs. David Rhodes and Shawn Money officiating. burial was in Barling Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Jessie FLIPPIN was born Jan. 7, 1908, in Dover, Ark., to W. R. ESTES and Mary (COLEMAN) ESTES. She died Thursday, May 23, 2002, in Muldrow. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley MATLOCK of Muldrow; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Edna Earl; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Bill FLIPPIN and Cledeth HOTTINGER; and two grandsons, Richard and Phillip Ray MATLOCK.

Funeral services for Dallas E. RUSSELL, 75, of Sallisaw, were held 10 a.m. Friday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Dr. Lee Woodard officiating. Burial was in Blackjack Cemetery, NW of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. RUSSELL was born Nov. 4, 1926 Sequoyah County to Wesley RUSSELL and Mary (EDWARDS) RUSSELL. He died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one uncle, Paul; one aunt, Gladys; and several cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosa Dale (RANDALL) RUSSELL and his second wife, Charlene (CALLOWAY) RUSSELL.

Funeral services for Virgie Lee DAVID, 88, of Muldrow are being held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Bellefonte Baptist Church, northeast of Muldrow, with Revs. Dale Phelps and Martin Cochran officiating. Burial is in Bellefonte Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. She married Mervin Lee DAVID on March 3, 1934 in the Short community. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1957. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley, Rita, and Jeri; two sons, Cleon and Tony; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mable; one brother, George; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mabel L. DAWSON, 86, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m., Monday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Oklahoma City. burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral home of Oklahoma City. Mrs. DAWSON was born May 12, 1916, to Ralph and Lillie STONEBREAKER. She died Thursday, May 30, 2002, in Vian. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly; one son, Doyle E. Jr.; four grandsons; two  granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle DAWSON and one daughter, Patricia L. SHILLING.

Funeral services for Orvil Andrew "Dock FLETCHER, 92, of Muldrow, were held 2 p.m., Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, with Rev. Tim Ohls, Mr. Jack Daily and Mr. Jerry Crawford officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. FLETCHER was born June 18, 1909, in the Paw Paw community to Harvey Monroe FLETCHER and Martila Elizabeth (MARTIN) FLETCHER. He died Friday, May 31, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Madeline Allen "Mack" THORNTON on July 13, 1934 in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Madeline "Mack" FLETCHER of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie, Connie and her husband Jack, and Jamicia and her husband Charles; one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and his wife Christine; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Carl FLETCHER; one son-in-law, Ott Lee ROGERS; and one sister, Ida Arizona FISK.

Funeral services for Billie Carol GRIFFIN, 52, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. with Rev. Leroy Watkins officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Cane Hill, Ark., under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove . Mrs. GRIFFIN was born Sept. 29, 1949 in Prairie Grove to Denver R. DOBBS and Eloise (ROSE) DOBBS. She died Thursday, May 30, 2002 in Lavaca, Ark. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Denver and his wife Bonnie; two daughters and one son-in-law, Farion and her husband Ben, and Paula; her mother, Peggy DOBBS; six grandchildren; one brother, Tim; and two sisters, Pat and Glynetta. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services for Gail HOLT, 63, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Blunt Baptist Church, north of Sallisaw, with Revs. Leroy Reid and Raymond Esteban officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery, north of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HOLT was born Dec. 13, 1938, in Poteau to L.H. "Smitty" SMITH and Melba Christine (BENNETT) SMITH. She died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Sallisaw. She married Glen Dale HOLT on Jan. 14, 1955 in Heavener. Survivors include her husband of  the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Joe, Leah and John , and Nancy; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Lyn; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; four sisters and  brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Harry, Beverly and Bill, Susie and Wayne, and Lori Ann and Mike; four brothers and one sister-in-law, L. H. "Sluggo" Jr., Terry, John, and Gregory and Penny; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, L.H. SMITH; her mother and step-father, Melba and Thomas H. JONES Sr.; and one brother, Thomas H. JONES Jr.

Funeral services for Connie Faye SMITH, 48, of Roland, were held at 2 p.m., Monday at Belfonte Baptist Church. Burial was in Belfonte Cemetery under the direction of Putman funeral Services of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. SMITH was born Sept. 22, 1953, in Long to Nelson and Mildred SEVENSTAR. She died Friday, May 31, 2002, in a Tulsa hospital. Survivors include her husband, James SMITH of Roland; one daughter, Dana; two sons, Allen and Shawnn; one step-son, Steven; five grandchildren; her mother, Mildred SEVENSTAR; one sister, Eva;  and two brothers, Leon and Dean. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services for John TREADWAY, 77, of McCurtain, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday at the McCurtain Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jay Garrett officiating. Burial was in Miners Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. Mr. TREADWAY was born June 1, 1924, in Whitefield to John G. TREADWAY Sr. and Birdie (THOMAS) TREADWAY. He died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at his home. He married Opal WRIGHT in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Opal TREADWAY of the home; two sons, Clifford and Terry; three daughters, Carolyn, Betty and Debbie; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray; and two sisters, Marie and Mary Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas and Vernon TREADWAY and one half-sister, Alma MATHEWS.

Funeral services for Verda Lou MILLS, 90, of Sallisaw, were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MILLS was born July 27, 1911 in Elba, Ark., to James Allard HONEYCUTT and Laura Alice HONEYCUTT. She died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 in Sallisaw. She married Rev. James William MILLS on Aug. 4, 1930 in Enola, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1982. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Cheryl; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one half-brother, V.A. "Bill"; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Louise DAVIS, Frances GODWIN and Kathleene TUCKER.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BOOZE was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Sallisaw to Ertie Hiram DUDLEY and Mimie (HARRISON) DUDLEY. She died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Wichita. She married Mike Ferguson BOOZE in Nov. 1943, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1987. Survivors include four daughters, Judy, Carol, Cheryl and Sharon; four sons, Robert Lee, Charles Raymond, Jerry Dean and Gary Gene; one step-son, Warren; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby and Eldean. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul DUDLEY and two brothers, Robert and Martin DUDLEY.

Funeral services for Vannie M. CHANDLER, 74, of Hector, Ark., were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Lemley Funeral Chapel in Atkins, with Rev. Elvis Clark officiating. Burial was in Lost Corner Cemetery, under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service. Mrs. CHANDLER died Sunday, June 9, 2002, in Russellville. Survivors include four daughters, Yvonne, Pattie, Mary Ann and Julie; one son, David;16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne and Bobby; and two sisters, Mary Nell and Thelma Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie L. & Zebia B. (RHODES) CURTRIGHT; her husband, Jack CHANDLER; one brother, Melvin CURTRIGHT; one sister, Flora HOGUE; and two sons, Alvin Eugen BLAYLOCK and Mitchell Troy BLAYLOCK.

Graveside services for Paul COKER, 80, of Muldrow, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at he Blackjack Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Hall officiating, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. COKER was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Muldrow to Ora Howard COKER and Nettie Jane (SMITH) COKER. He died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in Sallisaw. He married Millie Louise ROGERS. Survivors include his wife, Louise COKER of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolin Sue and husband Wayne, Paula Louise and husband Ricky and Gayle LaDean and husband Jody; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Roger and his wife Shirley and Patrick Allen and his wife Vickie; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Robert L. DRAKE , 69, of Roland, were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., with Rev. Steve Gray and Bro. J.W. Gray officiating, under the direction of  Agent Funeral Home of Roland. Mr. DRAKE was born April 23, 1933, in England, Ark. to Elbert Louis DRAKE and Mary Irene (SHACKELFORD) DRAKE. He died Saturday,  June 8, 2002 in Muskogee. He married Bobbie Sue GRAY on Oct. 6, 152, in Medera, Calif. Survivors include his wife Bobby Sue DRAKE of the home; four daughters, Robyn, Carol Jane, Susan and Vicki; one son, Robert "Bob"; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; two sisters Lucille and Ruby; two brothers, John and David; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Macie A. FOLKS, 71, of Sapulpa, formerly of the Sallisaw area are being held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel in Tulsa. Graveside services is at 3:00 p.m. in Sallisaw City Cemetery, both services are under the direction of Moore's Southlawn Chapel of Tulsa. Mr. FOLKS was born March 10, 1931, in Leedey, Okla. He died Monday, June 10, 2002, in his home. Survivors include his wife Shirley FOLKS of the home; four children, Angelia, Vaughn, Sue and Steve; and two grandchildren.

Mary Daves HAUCK, 76, of Phoenix, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in her home. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Olive Grove Care Center in Phoenix. Cremation was under the direction of Shadow Mountain Mortuary of Phoenix. Mrs. HAUCK was born July 4, 1925, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include six daughters, Marlene, Suzette, Tracey, Mimi, Victoria and Theresa; three sons, Gene, Dana and Scott; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jane. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Funeral services for Ruby LITTLETON, 69, of Sallisaw, were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Dale Phelps officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. LITTLETON was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Hartford, Ark. to Thomas McDONALD and Nellie (BROWN) McDONALD. She died Monday, June 10, 2002, in Sallisaw. She married Pal W. LITTLETON on Sept. 23, 1977, in Reno, Nevada. Survivors include her husband Pal of the home; one daughter, Brenda; two sons, David and Roger; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-son, Mark; four step-daughters, Teresa, Debra, Cynthia and Brenda; one brother, Charley; and three sisters, Leona, Pat and Sybil. She was preceded in death by her first husband on Sept. 21, 1974, in Sacramento. There were married on Dec. 17, 1949, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services for Lillie May McDONALD, 54, of Sallisaw,  held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, at the Flute Springs Cemetery, north of Marble City, with Rev. Clifton Pettit officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. McDONALD was born Jan. 14, 1948, in the Nicut community to John S. PETTIT and Pearl (PACK) PETTIT. She died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Sallisaw. She married Gary McCAIN on May 1, 2002, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Garry McCAIN of the home, one daughter, Tanya; two sons, five grandchildren, three brothers, George, John Lee and Mack; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Stella HOWARD.

Johnny Lee MALICK, 60, of Sallisaw, died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Sallisaw. Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw and handled by River Valley Crematory in Van Buren, Ark. Mr. MALICK was born July22, 1941, in Tulsa to John Benton MALICK and Capietola (NEAL) MALICK. Survivors include one son, Daniel; four sisters, Peggy, Pam, Carol and Corene; and three brothers, Roy, Lonnie and Gary.

Mr. RESCH was born May 18, 1975, in Fort Smith, to Paul RESCH and Judy (SANDERS) RESCH. He died Sunday, June 9, 2002, in Cookson, Okla. He married Billi HILL on Aug. 26, 1994 in Fort Smith. Burial was in Maple Cemetery, north of Muldrow, under the direction of  Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Nathaniel was born January 16, 2002, in Muskogee to James GREENHAW  and Misty Dawn SEATON. He died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his parents Misty SEATON and Damon EATMON and James GREENHAW; one sister, Lesley; one brother, James II; maternal grandparents, Kenny and Nicki; paternal grandparents, J.L. and Oleta;  maternal great-grandparents, Lee and Pauline; two uncles, Herman and Jeremy; one aunt, Angie; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for James Turner STALLINGS, 80, of Oklahoma City, were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Burial was in Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith and Kernke Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Mr. STALLINGS was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Catcher, Ark., to Walsie and Jim STALLINGS. He died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bonnie of the home; two sons, Darrell and Kent; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Burrell; and four sisters, Fern, Mary Katherine, Betty and Dorcie. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma WATSON of Alma.

Funeral services for Opal Faye WARD, 83, of Webbers Falls, were held at 10:00 a.m, Tuesday, at the Millsap Funeral Chapel in Webbers Falls. Burial was in Gore Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. WARD was born Aug. 19, 1918, in Henryetta to Acie Edward and Eva Viola (McGEE) ELLIS. She died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in the Gore Nursing Home. She married Benjamin Leo WARD on Sept. 23, 1939, in Muskogee. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, James and his wife Vera, and Tom; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Don and Chuck; and one sister, Neota. She was preceded in death by her parents, Acie EDWARDS and Iva Viola ELLIS; her stepmother, Catherine ELLIS; her husband, Benjamin Leo WARD; daughter-in-law, Linda Kay WARD; and three brothers, Edward, Albert and Harvey ELLIS.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Ann; four sons, Edward Lee, David Lee, Darrell Ray and Dewayne Dale; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rebecca Jane and Betty, Polly Jean and Linda Faye; two brothers, Henry Lee and Harley Dale; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was born Jan. 8, 1951, in Muldrow, to Harry Everett WEAVER and Ruby Marie (JAMES) WEAVER. She died Thursday, June 13, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Bill Ed Edwards of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Gary; two sons, Anthony and Timothy; 8 grandchildren; her mother, Ruby WEAVER; six sisters, Ella Fern, Barbara, Ima Ruth, Carolyn, Twila and Janice; one step-daughter, Cindy; and two step-sons, Todd and Steve. She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Dorothene YOUNGER; and two brothers, Floyd and Junior WEAVER.

Graveside services for Donald Walter HINES, 72, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the Brushy Cemetery, north of Sallisaw, with Rev. Larry Don Marley officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HINES was born May 2, 1930, in Sallisaw to Walter "Sonny" HINES  and Effie "Oma" (TUBBS) HINES. He died Thursday, June 13, 2002, in Sallisaw. He married Willene WATERS on Dec. 24, 1949, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include his wife Willene HINES of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and his wife Gaylene and Donald D.; two daughters, Nelda and Angela; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren and one brother and sister.

Graveside services for Calvin Oliver HOLLAND, 60, of Van Buren, Ark., are being  held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. HOLLAND died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, in a local hospital. Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and her husband Wylie and Mary Beth and her husband David; one brother and sister-in-law, Teddy B. and his wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Sequoyah County, to Sol Clarence HOLLIS SR. and Pluma (MARTIN) HOLLIS. He died Thursday, June 13, 2002, in Vian. Survivors include one daughter Jennifer; one son, Billy; two grandchildren; three sisters, Doris, Nadine and Sue; one brother, Jerry; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, William D. TROSPER and twin granddaughters, Sara and Cara.

Burial is in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. LUCAS was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Terlton, to John Henry LUCAS and Louellen (CRANBRINK) LUCAS. He died Thursday, June 13, 2002, in Sallisaw. He married Addlene "Pat" ATTAWAY on Dec. 19, 1942, in Tillamook, Ore. Survivors include his wife, Pat LUCAS of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Frances and Jerry and Sheila Faith; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita; his mother-in-law, Winnie ATTAWAY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Opal Wileen HUGHART, 68, of Webbers Falls, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, in Webbers Falls First Baptist Church. Burial was in Vaught Cemetery, in Webbers Falls. Mrs. HUGHART was born on Aug. 24, 1933, in Webbers Falls to John and Minnie COPE. She died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Muskogee. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Don, Donna and Ed, and Lynn and Darrell; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Velmer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Tim HUGHART; one son, Terry AMERSON; her parents; one sister, Lola JARRARD; one brother, Ray COPE; and one great-grandson, Gregery EUBANKS.

Funeral services for Steven Lee HUNTINGTON, 18, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Burial was in Honey Hill Cemetery in Stilwell, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. He was born Feb. 14, 1984 in Bartlesville. He died Saturday, June 22, 2002, in a local hospital. Survivors include his fiancee, Elisha HICKEY of Van Buren; his mother, Charlotte LINDSEY; his parents, Steven and Susan HUNTINGTON; Maternal grandmother, Peggy Sue FROST; paternal grandmother, Kathryn Juanita MAYER; maternal grandfather, Richard F. OSBURN; two sisters, Tonya and Crystal; two brothers, Michael and Richard Dempsey; step-maternal grandmother, Maxine OSBURN; and one step brother, Stephen.

Graveside services for George O. SANDERS, Jr., 84, of Sallisaw, will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Ark., with Bros. Royce Martin and Sam Ed Bush officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Drakes Prairie community to George O. SANDERS Sr. and Mary (BYERS) SANDERS. He died Thursday, June 27, in Fort Smith. He married Faye Elizabeth LEE on Nov. 27, 1940, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Faye SANDERS of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Julia and Rodney and Debbie; one brother, E.B.; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Ricky Joe YANDELL Jr., 29, of Moffett, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. YANDELL died Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Jackson, Miss. Survivors include one daughter, Larissa; one son, Ricky Joe III; his father, Ricky Joe YANDELL Sr.; four sisters, Debbie, Regenia, Mary and Patricia; one brother, Billy E.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda FIMPEL.
