Graveside services for Remington Taylor JENNINGS, an infant, of Muldrow, are being held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cottonwood Cemetery with the Rev. Anthony Williams officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Feb. 25, 2009, in Little Rock, Ark., to Ethan JENNINGS and Christina (LOWDER) JENNINGS. He died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, in Little Rock. Survivors include his parents, of the home; maternal grandmother, Annie BAILEY and her husband, Darrell; maternal grandfather, Johnny LOWDER; paternal grandparents, Jeffery S. and Teresa JENNINGS; maternal great-grandparents, Richard and Shirley QUALLS; paternal great-grandmothers, Christine JENNINGS and Betty KLING; two aunts; and two uncles.
Funeral services for Lisa MORSE, 46, of Cedarville, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. MORSE was born Oct. 17, 1962, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Bluford GIBBONS and Floydean (SKIRLOCK) GIBBONS. She died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Mandy and Erney; one son, Lucas; one grandchild; father; three sisters, Tammy and Rodney, Pam and James, and Becky and Henry; one brother, Aaron; and two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandmother, Willie GIBBONS.
Funeral services for Jewell Mabel ROGERS, 94, of Gans, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gans Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Harold McKeehen and Dennis Hall officiating. Burial is in Gans Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. ROGERS was born May 6, 1914, in Hanson, to Claude BUTCHER and Ada (BILLINGSLY) BUTCHER. She died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Herman Jasper ROGERS Sr., Oct. 29, 1929, in Gans. He preceded her in death, April 24, 1990, in Fort Smith. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Roy, Phyllis and Roy, and Donna and Dennis; six sons and daughters-in-law, Herman Jr. and Norma, Carroll Lee and Mayme, Bobby and Wanda, Jerry and Cindy and Dwight, and Zoella, and Ronnie and Cindy; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Flossie McGEHEE and one brother, Loyd BUTCHER.
Graveside services for Robert Guy WILLIAMS, 73, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rocky Point Cemetery, north of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. WILLIAMS was born April 17, 1935, in Charleston, S.C., to Harry WILLIAMS. He died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, in Sallisaw. He married Phyllis Alicia STEWART, July 1, 1970, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Roberta Bobbyeand her husband, Jerry, and Samantha; seven grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mildred Irene (PRICE); and brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Sharon.

Burial is in the Bush Cemetery, north of Marble City, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr.BUSH was born Jan 11, 1957, in Tahlequah, to Robert BUSH and Lillian (EAGLE) DENNY. He died Monday, March 2, 2009, in Muldrow. Survivors include one daughter, Julie; one son, Jason; father; mother; four brothers, Wayne, Paul, Isreal, and Bobby; three sisters, Debbie, Patty, and Martha; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacklyn BUSH and his step-father, Sonny DENNY.

Mr. GATES was born Jan. 30, 1933, in Sapulpa, to Claude Alexander GATES and Frances (ANTHONY) GATES. He died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Vian. He married Wyvona Freeda BLOOMER, Nov. 30, 1955, in Stigler. Survivors include his wife, Freeda of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Rebecca, and Brian and Julie; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores; three brothers, Doyle, Claude H., and Chester; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Doris ROWE.

Mrs. JAMES was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Marble City, to Louis Pease McGEE and Pearl Ann (WEBB) McGEE. She died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Sallisaw. She married Don JAMES, Dec. 19, 1975, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death, Oct. 12, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three sisters, Jewell, Edna and Betty; one sister-in-law, Anna; three brothers-in-law, Harold, Kenneth and Norman; special friends, Betty and Patsy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John George McGEE, two sisters, Lucille CHOATE and Mary CHEEK and her husband, Bill PHILPOT.

She died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in Gore. Mrs. MARKHAM enjoyed embroidery. Survivors include one daughter, Linda and her husband, Mickey; two sons, Joe and his wife, Ruth, and Charles and his wife, Shirley; one brother, Alvin and his wife, Betty; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harrell and one brother, Doyle DECKER.

Burial was in Akins Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. MOSBY was born Dec. 2, 1964, in Sallisaw, to Sherrell MOSBY and Opal (MATTINGLY) MOSBY. He died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one sister, Cheryl Adele and her husband, Danny; three brothers, Calvin, Paul and his wife, Linda, and J.W. and his wife, Lesa; one brother-in-law, Jerry; parents, of the home; and grandmother, Eunice MATTINGLY-LONG. He was preceded in death by his sister, Twanna Janean STEPHENS, paternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy MOSBY, maternal grandfather, A.L. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda POSTELL and one brother.

He died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in Muldrow. He married Ethel Dianne MUNSELL, Nov. 26, 1971, in Checotah. Survivors include his wife, Dianne of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry, and Billy and Johnna, and Donald and Sherry; four grandchildren; parents; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Vicki; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike; father-in-law and mother-in-law, H.H. and Vera MUNSELL; two brothers-in-law, HOWARD and David; and sister-in-law, Anna and her husband, Mendel.

Mrs. STEELEY was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Sallisaw, to John Franklin BURNS and Pearl Mae (PETREE) BURNS. She died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include six sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry Dale and Vickie, David Randall and Imojean, Terry Don, Randy and Tiffany, Jerry and John; two step-daughters, Delain and Jennifer; one step-son, Greg; four sisters, Geneva, Ruth Nell, Barbara, and Dixie; one brother, Homer Dean; 29 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. She died Monday, March 2, 2009, in Arkoma. Survivors include two sons, Kevin and his wife, Molina, and Alvin; three sisters, Jerri and her husband, Mike and Tammy and David, and Bobbie and her husband, Donnie; mother; three grandchildren; and step-dad, Danny McDONALD. She was preceded in death by her father.

Mr. CURRY was born May 26, 1940, in Sallisaw, to Wadie CURRY and Edith (LONDON) CURRY. He married Christine Ann CORREIA, June 6, 1961, in Rena, Nev. Survivors include his wife, Christine of the home; one son, David; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; mother; five sisters, Wilma, Mavis, Betty, Glenda and Donna; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Jesse Lee CURRY Jr.

Mr. SMITH was born June 30, 1929, in Jonesboro, Ark., to David Dee SMITH and Mary Ozella (HALL) SMITH. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia, Frances and Deborah; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Martha; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Imogine and Margie; one brother: Junior; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, David Dee SMITH Jr., one sister, Pearl SMITH and four brothers, Wilson, Frank, Bill and L.B. SMITH.

Mrs. BRUMMETT was born July 10, 1942, in Madill, to John Franklin GREEN and Glessie Leola (OWENS) GREEN. She died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Fort Smith. She married James Thomas BRUMMETT, May 10, 1968, in Lamont, Calif. Survivors include her husband, James of the home; two daughters, Sheila and Beverly; two sons, David and John; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Janie, Theresa, Saletha, Lila, Audrey and Toni; three brothers, David, Don and Martin. Levoy Patrick (Pat) DEMAREE of Cave Springs, Arkansas, died Saturday March 21, 2009, at the age of 77. Pat was the son of Lloyd and Madie SHUE DEMAREE. Born in the suburbs of Pummkinbend, Arkansas. He met his wife Reba CHRONISTER while stationed at Ft Chaffee, Arkansas. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Oral, Ray Delano and Paul DEMAREE and sister Doris MATTHEWS. Surviving family members include his wife Reba, daughter Reita and husband, Rick , son Anthony (Tony) and wife, Betty; two grandsons; one sister Marie and one brother, Charles.
