Funeral services for Ruth BLALOCK, 81, of Charleston, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Branch Free Will Baptist Church in Branch, Ark. with Revs. Carl Newton and Joe Newton officiating. Burial was in Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. of Charleston. Mrs. BLALOCK was born March 3, 1921 in Greenwood, Ark. to Walter MASON and Effie (WILSON) MASON. She died Thursday, April 25, 2002, in Charleston. Survivors include five daughters, Nadene, Patricia, Veda, Darlene and Pamela; two sons, Raymond and Glen; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Benettia; and one brother, Jess;
Funeral services for Bobby Joe BLOCKER, 47, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Fort Coffee, Okla. Burial was in Fort Coffee Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. Mr. BOCKER was born June 3, 1954, in Fort Smith to Brosco BLOCKER and Mamie (WILLIAMS) BLOCKER. He died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 in his home. Survivors include one son, Michael; seven sisters, Velma, Vallene, Annie, Dorothy, Bessie, Alice and Teresa; and four brothers, Carl, Dale, Jerry and Doug.
Graveside services for Mae M. HARRELL CHAPPEL, 88, of Muskogee, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, with Rev. David Johnson officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CHAPPEL was born May 29, 1913 in Stigler to Jesse James HARRELL and Bessie (HALE) HARRELL. She died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in Muskogee. Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine and Sandra Sue; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie and Marjorie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jennings and James HARRELL of Roland.
Funeral services for Dennis L. CHERRY, 63, of Booneville, Ark. formerly of Muldrow, were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church of Muldrow. Burial was in Muldrow Memory Gardens in Muldrow and with Masonic Services at Graveside under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. CHERRY died Sunday, April 28, 2002 in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Tommie CHERRY of Booneville; and two brothers, Jim and Mike.
Funeral services for Cleo BROWN DILLARD, 94, of Gans, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, with the Revs. Tim Ohls and Edward Anderson officiating. Burial was in South Fork Cemetery, near Gurdon, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. DILLARD was born April 22, 1908, in Oak Leaf, Ark. to John Wesley BROWN and Mary (FIARSH) BROWN. She died Friday, April 26, 2002, in Muldrow. She married Royal DILLARD in Nov. 1931 in Gurdon. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1969. Survivors include three brothers, John W., James and Linville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline HENRY and Mable GUYSE and one brother, Fred BROWN.

Burial is in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. GOSSETT died Monday, April 29, 2002 in Sallisaw. He married Lucille (THORNTON) GOSSETT on Jan. 6, 1949 in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Lucille GOSSETT of the home; one brother, Fred D.; five nieces; Doris, Sharon, Jane and Linda and Lavelle; and 11 great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. GRASS was born January 19, 1976, in Cherokee County, to Ray TEAGUE and Leanna GRASS. She died Friday, April 26, 2002, in Asheboro. Survivors include her fiance', Gregg of the home; three daughters, Britanie, Caroline Marie and Destiny Denise; her parents, Leanna and Bruce GREENE and Ray and Jeanie TEAGUE; one sister, Jennifer Denise; two step-sisters, Melissa and Amy Michelle; two step-brothers, Michael, and Fabian Daniel; grandparents, Onnie TREASURE and Bud & Betty GREENE.
William Raph HURST, 70, of Fort Smith, Ark. died Monday, April 29, 2002 in Fort Smith. Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HURST was born Dec. 6, 1931 in Jackson, Mo. to William Francis HURST and Lucille (GRIFFEN) HURST.Survivors include one sister, Mary; one niece, Cynthia ; and one nephew, John.

She died Friday, April 26, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Gene T. RISLEY on Dec. 5, 1947 in Visalia, Calif. Survivors include her husband, Gene of the home; one son, Jim; three daughter, Shirley, Linda and Brenda; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Survivors include two sisters, Lee Anna and Austine; four brothers, Clarence, Silas, Robert and John; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including his special friend Vessie. He was preceded in death by his wife Lizetta (BELL) YOUNGBLOOD.

Mrs. BROOKS was born July 2, 1920, in the McKey community, to Joseph Newton HOLT and Minnie Ellen (TOWERY) HOLT. She died Thursday, May 2, 2002, in Sallisaw. She married Jack Franklin BROOKS on Oct. 7, 1939, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1990. Survivors include one daughter, Jackie; one son, Robert Lee; four grandchildren; two sisters, Opal y and Betty Jo; one brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Bonnie; one sister-in-law, Floreen; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

To George MARTIN and Rosie (BRAY) MARTIN. She died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 in Muldrow. She married Frank COUGHRAN on Aug. 6, 1965 in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Stella, Patsy and Betty; four sons; Carl, Roger, Cleve and Tommy; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline and Lorene.

Mr. FIELDS died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Emma FIELDS of the home; three daughters, Edie M., Georgia and Juanita; one son, Ronald; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Wilbur, Frank and Irvin .

Graveside services for Rosella Lee LEWIS "Rosa Lee" BOEN, 86, of Muskogee, Oklahoma will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee. She died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, in Muskogee. Mrs. BOEN was born September 7, 1915, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Ceylon Smith LEWIS and Rebecca Glenn (ELLIS) LEWIS. She married Robert E. BOEN Sr., who preceded her in death. They were married 55 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosa Lee and Tim and Becky and Jim; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Sharon; and three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law. Other survivors include three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Leola Ann, Dorothy and Corrinne; one brother-in-law, Tom; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Dr. Ceylon Smith (BURR) LEWIS Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Bradley Funeral Home of Muskogee.

He was born June 17, 1931 in Newcastle, Indiana to Edgar SMITH and Rhoda (McQUERRY) SMITH. He died Friday, May 3, 2002 in Sallisaw. He married Madge MORRIS on May 26, 1972 in Alice, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Madge M. SMITH of the home; two daughters, Pattie Lee and Sherry Jo; two sons, Robert Francis, Jr. and Anthony Eugene; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia.

She married Manual Grant IZQUIERDO on April 1, 1956 in Kern County, California. Survivors include her husband Grant of the home; two daughters, Phyllis Diane and Marsha Ann; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild,; two sisters, Ruby and Freda; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry IZQUIERDO and two brothers, Walter and Clifton COMPTON.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Laure DuBUC, one son, Joseph DuBUC and his daughter Hazel Ruth.

Darrell; one sister, Shirley; four brothers, Troy, Bob, Harold and Ron; two step grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Ray FROST.

She married Wade OSBURN in June, 1957 in Ozark, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Wade of the home; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Teresa and Joe, and Tywanna and Larry, Tanya and Michelle and Bill; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, G.W. CAPPS.
Willie M. TOWNSEND, 93, of Sallisaw, died Tuesday, may 14, 2002, in Sallisaw. Family memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. TOWNSEND was born Nov. 16, 1908 in Elmore City, Okla. to William JENNINGS and Mary Jane BALDWIN JENNINGS. She married T.H. TOWNSEND on Nov. 10, 1947 in Sebastian Co., Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1964 in Oklahoma City. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Beth and Phil; one son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Jan; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Minerva; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

He married Adalene Katherine "Abby" FRANKLIN on Oct. 16, 1941 in Texas.
