Funeral services for Lavern JOHNSON, of Vian will be Saturday, May 1, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Blackgum, with Reb Dale Ritter officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Buril will be in Box Cemetery, north of Vian. She was born January 1, 1931 in Buckhorn, Ok, the daughter of Crystal Nora ROBERTSON. She died April 29, 2010 in Tulsa. She married Earl Washington JOHNSON of May 28, 1946, in Vian. Survivors include her husband, Wash of the home.; one daughter and son -in-law, Brenda Kay and Louie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy E and Mary, and Rodger B and Jill; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister Wanda; two brothers Bob and Don; severaral nieces, nephews and cousins and relatives. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys PLEW.

Services for Betty Lee (LAWSON) KINSEY, 76, are being held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw, with Reverend Isaac Slape and Dr. Neal Prock, officiaitng. Burial will be in Old Bokoske Cemetery, Bokoshe. She was born October 29th, 1933 in Pino, Oklahoma at the Braden bottoms area of Leflore county, to Nellie (PROCK) LAWSON and Monroe James LAWSON. She had a younger brother and sister, Don LAWSON of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Linda (LAWSON) SKELTON of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. In 1951 she was married to Arthur Wayne KINSEY in Van Buren, Arkansas. three sons, Gary and wife Tina, Steven and wife Cindy, and Randall. Eight grandchildren;.Four step- grandchildren .Threer great-grandchildren;. Four step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Johnny Lee BYRD, 71, of Muldrow were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Roland with the Rev. C.W. Blood officiating. Burial was in Belfonte Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland. Mr. BYRD was born on June 14, 1938, in Nicut to Joseph BYRD and Annie (LANGLEY) BYRD. He died on Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include, two daughters, Carolyn and Jessica; two sons, Gary and Ronald; one stepson, Leonard; three sisters, Connie, Linda and Nadine; three brothers, Amos BYRD of Hammond, Billy BYRD of Harlem, Mont. And Leon BYRD of Cordell; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Luther “Toby” COX, 83, of Brent were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Brent Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Little officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. COX was born on Jan. 21, 1927, in the Brent community. He died on Friday, April 30, 2010, in Pocola. Mr. COX was a farmer. He married Hazel “Mildred” COX on Dec. 10, 1949, in Holly Grove, Ark. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Judy; two sons, Andy and Nathan; five sisters, Jo Ann, Pansy, Maxine, Betty and Vivian; three brothers, Butch, Gary and Sherman; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Diann COX SKINNER, one grandson, Walter SKINNER Jr. and two brothers, Cherry and David COX.

Roy HARP, 86, of Sallisaw died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in Sallisaw. He was born on Oct. 2, 1923, in Oklahoma. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He married Clarrissa HOTZ CARROLL on Nov. 10, 1992, in Fort Smith, Ark. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2007. Survivors include one son Ron; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bernice THOMAS, 85, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gary Mullen officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. THOMAS was born on Aug. 10, 1924, in Sallisaw to John Wesley and Nora Lillian (HELTON) BARBEE. She died on Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn; two sons, Danny and his wife, Linda, and Larry; two sisters, Faye, and Pat and here husband, Carroll; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren G. THOMAS, two sisters, Hazel RICHARDSON and Helen WICKETT and one brother, Ted BARBEE.

Franklin D. “Frank” ANDREWS, 73, of Harrisonville, Mo., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his home. Memorial services were held Saturday, May 8 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, and military honors were under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard. Frank was born July 12, 1936, in Vian, the son of Sidney Murel and Gladys Viola (MILLS) ANDREWS. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Maurice ANDERSON, Jack ANDERSON, Dan ANDREWS, and Buddy ANDREWS, two sisters, Ruby MADORIN and Marie SLAUGHTER. Surviving are his wife, Sandy ANDREWS of the home; five sons, Eric, Randy, Dougs, Greg and Gary; five brothers, David, Murel, Bill, Allen,  Clarence;10 grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home of Harrisonville.

Funeral services for Flossie Marie KEEN, 87, will be held May 10, 2010 at 2 pm  at Lee's Creek Assembly of God Church, with  Rev Tommy Treat officiaitng, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Burial will be in Seabolt Cemetery. Flossie Marie KEEN was born January 28, 1923 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of William Marvin MATHEWS and Ethel Christina (RAY) MATHEWS. She was married to Troy KEEN on September 16, 1940 in Adair County, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1983. Mrs. KEEN  died May 5, 2010 in Muldrow. Survivors include five daughters and sons-in-law, Lola Faye and Jay, Linda Louise and Duff, Donna Joyce and Bill, and Delores Kathleen and Dee, Ruth Annette and Ricky; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Connie Marie KEEN, her parents and five brothers, Carl William, Paul Edward, James Thomas, Elmer Lee and Henry Wayne MATHEWS.  

Funeral services for Ray Eugene KISSELBURG, 74, of Vian are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial is in Box Cemetery, north of Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. KISSELBURG was born on April 8, 1936, in Oklahoma City to Odell Franklin KISSELBURG and Hattie LaRita (RUSHING) KISSELBURG. He died on Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Vian. He married Elizabeth Ilean PACK on May 29, 1961, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth KISSELBURG, of the home; one son, Jimmy Ray; two sisters, Reva and Faye; two brothers, Jack and Paul; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

John Penny RIDER, 85, of Sallisaw died on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in Sallisaw. Burial of cremains will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. RIDER was born on Aug. 12, 1924, in Sallisaw to Tip RIDER and Victoria RIDER. He married Jocyle Darlene MOORE on May 22, 1996, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Jocyle RIDER of the home; and two sisters, Helen and Pat. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Alec RIDER.

Funeral services for Michael Ché ELBON, 22, of Vian were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. ELBON was born on May 16, 1987, in Tahlequah to Richard ElLBON and Teresa (RHODES) ELBON. He died on Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Vian. Survivors include one daughter, Paisley; his parents; one brother, Derek; grandparents, Deward and Lee STRATTON and Johnny and Kathy RHODES; his fiancé, Laney; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Marie ELBON.

Funeral services for Riley WATERS Jr., 87, of Muldrow are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Muldrow with Bro. Richard Crawford officiating. Burial is in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. WATERS was born on Aug. 16, 1922, in Wolfe Lake, Ind., to Riley WATERS Sr. and Delia (RADCLIFFf) WATERS. He died on Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Muldrow. He married Norma SHANABARGER on March 9, 1946, in Mount Vernon, Ind. Survivors include, his wife Norma WATERS, of the home; two daughters, Judy and Janis; one brother, Rex; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Larry WATERS, two sisters, Juanita LAMB and Marianne WOLF and two brothers, Richard and John WATERS.

Alfred Andy SUMMERLIN passed away May 13, 2010, in Gore. He was born on April 14, 1939, in Vian. He married his wife of 52 years, Betty Louise PARMER. He is survived by his wife, Betty SUMMERLIN of Gore; daughter, Brenda and husband Jerry; three sons, Richard and wife, Shellie, Robert and wife, Tracy, and Ronald; three brothers, Virgil, and John and his wife, Ann, and Roy and his wife, Pat; one sister, Birdie; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Artie (SHAMBLIN) SUMMERLIN, siblings, Bert SUMMERLIN Jr., Bonnie SUMMERLIN, Pearl WHITNEY, Trisha WATKINS, his twin sister, Alice SUMMERLIN, and three infant brothers.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Gore with Burial at White Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Amy Mae CRASE, 95, of Bokoshe were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Spiro with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial was at Old Cache Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CRASE was born on Nov. 14, 1914, in Cartersville, to Eliga Maze WHITTKER and Amy Laverta (OERN) WHITTKER. She died on Thursday, May 13, 2010, in Bokoshe. She was a homemaker. She married Ernest Grady CRASE on May 18, 1931, in Spiro. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1993. Survivors include four daughters, Geraldine, Helen, Alice and Wanda; three sons, Kenneth, Donald and Ronald; four sisters, Fay, Flora , Allene, and Pauline; one brother, David; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Henry Dale KNIGHT was born on Jan. 20, 1951, in Sallisaw. He passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at the age of 59, in Oklahoma City. His surviving family includes, two sons, Greg and Jason; six brothers, Odell, Jim, Gary, Ted, Bob and Max; two sisters, Billie and Jacki; as well as several grandchildren. Henry’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service in Sallisaw at Buffington Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Funeral services for Cleo Orville McMAHAN, 90, of Talihina will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Mallory Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will be at Round Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. McMAHAN was born on April 17, 1920, in Lequire to John Jorden McMAHAN and Clarcia Mae GAMMAL. He died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Talihina. Survivors include three daughters, Lucinda, Deborah and Merle; one sister, Tisha; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, William Samuel, James Alonzo and Leo Omar McMAHAN, and one sister, Dollie HAWKINS.

Funeral services for Titus Robert Lee STEPHENS, an infant of Sallisaw will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Akins Assembly of God Church northeast of Sallisaw with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating. Burial will be in Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Jan. 10, 2010, in Stilwell to George Robert STEPHENS Jr. and Niki Nicole COCKRILL. He died on Monday, May 17, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his parents of the home; four sisters, Mika, Cloe, Abby and Anabeth; and two brothers, Broxton and Jonathan.

Funeral services for Ruby TAYLOR, 94, of Marble City were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Marble City Holiness Church with the Revs. Stanley Cottrell, Johnny Watkins and Gary Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Dwight Mission Cemetery northwest of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. TAYLOR was born on Oct. 27, 1915, in Sadie to Wasco PERRY and Bertha (LOWE) PERRY. She died on Monday, May 17, 2010, in Marble City. She married Eugene TAYLOR on Aug. 29, 1936, in Marble City. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Sue and Christene; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Dave WRIGHT, 84, of Sallisaw are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gans Cemetery with Bro. Dennis McClure officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. WRIGHT was born on Feb. 13, 1926, in Gans to Jessie WRIGHT and Ada (AUSTIN) WRIGHT . He died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Wynona ROGERS on July 16, 1946, in Fort Smith. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2005. Survivors include one son, David Lee; one brother, Donald; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. Day was born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Hope Prairie to Sheb DAY and Meady (ROSE) DAY. He died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Muldrow. He married Pattie Sue FARGO on Oct. 16, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Linda; two sons, Harvey and Dennis; one brother, Gene; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rhonda WINKLER EIFFERT, 38, of Muskogee are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial is in the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. EIFFERT was born on July 6, 1971, in Newton, Kan. to Johnny Lee WINKLER and Edna Faye (RICHARDSON) WINKLER. She died on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, in Muskogee. She married Keith Walter EIFFERT on Jan. 20, 2005, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her husband Keith of the home; two daughters, Shalyn and Kayla; two sons, Anthony and Matthew; her parents; three sisters, Pam, Patricia  and Sherry; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Othal MELTON SHERWOOD, 94, of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Sallisaw with Bro. Royce Martin officiating. Burial is in the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. SHERWOOD was born on June 19, 1915, in Sallisaw to Jessie Leonard MELTONN Sr. and Maudie (HINDMAN) MELTON. She died on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, in Sallisaw. She married Ervin Hezekiah SHERWOOD on Sept. 3, 1936, in Gans. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2007, in Sallisaw.  Survivors include several nieces; and her church family and friends. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ann KUHN and three brothers, Loyd, Leonard and Gene MELTON.

Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, Ark. under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. DeLOZIER was born on Jan. 2, 1964, in Shawnee to Kenneth Marlin DeLOZIER and Carolyn Sue (McCLELLAND) GAMMONS. He died on Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Malita Ann (BOWDEN) DeLOZIER of Poteau; two daughters, Janis and Danielle; one son, Kyle; two stepsons, Troy and Chris; father, Ken DeLOZIER; mother Carolyn GAMMONS; two sisters, Barbara and Samantha; two brothers, Sonny and Robert; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wilbur Alvie FARRIS, 61, of Sallisaw are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Marble City School gymnasium with Bros. Bill Tinsley, Cameron Hudson and Johnny Watkins officiating. Burial is in Brushy Cemetery north of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. FARRIS was born on Jan. 15, 1949, in Myron, Ark., to Henry William FARRIS and Mary L. (CROUCH) FARRIS. He died on Monday, May 24, 2010, in Marble City. He married Brenda Kay BROWN on April 7, 1967, in Cairo, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Farris of the home; three daughters, Tina, Priscilla, and LaBreeska; two sons, Aaron and Anthony; six grandchildren; three sisters Ruth, Freda and Marilyn; four brothers, Paul, Arbrie, Leroy and Joel; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Miriam FARRIS and his father-in-law, Thomas BROWN.

Laquitta Faye LANOY of Sallisaw was born on Dec. 14, 1945, in Delano, Calif. to William and Pauline (AARON) CHANCE and passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Sallisaw at the age of 64. She is survived by her husband, Mickey, of the home; three daughters, Mary, Beth and Faye; one son, Richard; two sisters, Diane and Pat; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jerry IVY. She liked watching TV, playing games and spending time with her family.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Mallory-Martin Chapel with the Revs. O.M. Wilson and Billy Adams officiating.

Graveside services for James W. RIDENHOUR of Bunch will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. James was born on Sept. 20, 1944, in Monroe. He passed away Friday, May 21, 2010, in the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee. He is survived by his loving wife, La Donna Faye (BILYEU) RIDENHOUR of the home; two sons, James D. and Bennie; three daughters, Katheryn, Danette and Melissa; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Carol and Sharon; father-in-law, Bennie BILYEAU; two brothers-in-law, Norvan D. and John W.; one sister-in-law, Delores J.; and many other friends and family. James was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Neal RIDENHOUR, one grandson, Benjamin THOMPSON, mother-in-law, Maggie Faye BILYEU, two brothers-in-law, Bennie and Bobby BILYEU, one sister-in-law, Dorothy (BILYEU) NGUYEN and one nephew, Joseph D. MONIS.

Gravesides services for Katie JOACHIM-ESTEVEZ, 71, of Gore are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Duncan Cemetery with Chaplain Wendell Cox officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home of Walters. Lola Kathryn “Katie Jo” JOACHIM-ESTEVEZ was born to Ezra Clarence “E.C.” and Grossie Rena (DORSETT) JOACHIM on Sept. 7, 1938, in Ardmore. She passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in Gore. She married Barry BRUCE in August, 1959, in Walters. She later married Doc NEVAQUAYA in 1973. She eventually married Arnold ESTEVEZ in 1996. He preceded her in death in 1998. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Brian; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jana; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepchildren

Hazel Juanita HARTMAN died on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. There is no formal service planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Sept. 13, 1930, in Tippecanoe, Ohio to Joseph McCONNELL and Mable WANZER. Survivors include, four daughters, Carol Ann, Kathy, Lucy., and Edna; one son, Richard ; one sister, Ilene; two brothers, Derwood and Gary Lee.; four granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters.

Howard Douglas HUBLER was born on March 19, 1932, in Gore to Peter Penrose HUBLER and Ella Josephine POWELL. He was the seventh of 12 children. He married Mary Ruth SUMPTER on March 1, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Amy Ruth HUBLER; brother, George HUBLER; and his sister, Hazel WARREN. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth (SUMPTER) HUBLER of the home; children, David and Mary, and Michael and Bessie, and Sandra Kay; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five brothers, John, Penrose, Frank, Lynn, and Parley; and four sisters, Anna Mae, Josephine, Mary, and Frances. Funeral services are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Tahlequah with Bishop Brandon Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Cemetery in Gore.

Funeral services for Bryon SHAMBLIN, 45, of Muldrow are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Revs. Tommy Treat and Carl Fugett officiating. Burial is in Muldrow Memory Garden under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. SHAMBLIN was born on Aug. 9, 1964, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Bobby Joe SHAMBLIN and Norma Rae (HYLES) SHAMBLIN. He died on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Cheyenne; his parents; one sister, Carla; and two brothers, Joe and Danny Ray.
