Jimmy Dale COLEMAN, 78, of Roland died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. He was a retired U.S. Army master sergeant and a veteran of Korea and Vietnam, where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Army Historical Society and the American Legion Post 0213. He was preceded in death by two wives, Rhea COLEMAN and Sue BURNS COLEMAN and by his son Jimmy David COLEMAN. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow with full military honors in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith. Survivors include his two daughters, Tresa and Beverly; two stepdaughters, Mary Carolyn, and Debra; one stepson, Jim; one brother, Billy; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services for Linda ANDERSON JONES, 66, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sallisaw City Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Armer officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. JONES was born on Dec. 11, 1944, in Oklahoma City to Burl R. KELLY and Beulah Mae (LUTTRELL) JOHNSON. She died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in Vian. Survivors include her husband, Mickey Riley JONES of the home; four daughters, Bobbie, Carol, Misty and Samantha; one son, Justin; one sister, Freda; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Lin HENRY Jr., her parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Rick KELLY.

Memorial services for Roberta M. PETREE BRISCO, 66, of Springdale, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark., with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Beards Chapel of Fayetteville. Mrs. BRISCO was born on Jan. 7, 1945, in Pryor to Sterling M. PETREE and Bessie WHITTINGTON. She died Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Bentonville, Ark. Survivors include four daughters, Rhonda, Beth, Amy and Rebecca; three brothers, Leon, Carl and Leonard ; three sisters, Emogene, Marie and Joyce; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald BRISCO in 1983.
Funeral services for Norma J. CANNON, 64, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Kurt Henry officiating. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. CANNON was born on Oct. 5, 1946, in Drakes Prairie to Frank James BRESHEARS and Plura Lorene RAY. She died on Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Sallisaw. She married Charles Luther CANNON on April 5, 1969, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Stephanie, and Jeffrey and Kerri; three grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sandy, and Jerry and Shirley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Daniel EPPINETTE, 30, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Baptist Church in Camden, Ark., with Dr. Richard Foster officiating. Burial was at Mount Horeb Cemetery in Camden under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden. Mr. EPPINETTE was born on Dec. 17, 1980. He died on Friday, April 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Erin EPPINETTE; his parents, Randy and Vickie EPPINETTE; brother, Chance; paternal grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Sally ROWE; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law and their spouses; 10 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and great-grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at Sallisaw City Cemetery follow services burial will be at Gordon Cemetery in Mineral Wells, Texas. Mr FERGUSON was born October 16, 1937, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. FERGUSON on passed this life on May 1, 2011 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife: Julia of the home; two daughters, Nita, and Teri; two grandsons; one brother and sister in law, Dwight and Jo Ann; one niece. Several other relatives and friends he was preceded in death by his parent.

Mrs. HEDGES was born on March 12, 1924, in Buckner, Mo., to Mark and Mable SOUTHARD. She died Monday, May 2, 2011, in Sallisaw. She married Robert H. HEDGES Sr., 69 years ago in Independence, Mo. Survivors include her husband, Robert H. HEDGES Sr.; daughter, Janet; son, Mark; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert H. HEDGES Jr.

Mr. JAMES was born on April 4, 1937, in Gore to Ralph and Aline (WOFFARD) and died Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Muskogee. Survivors include his children, Ricky, Roger, Rhonda, and Janette; sisters, Flo and Sara; brother, Jack; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary and brother, Tommy Ray JAMES.

Monroe Lowrimore officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. NEWMAN was born on Dec. 25, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio to Richard NEWMAN and Gladys (MATHIS) NEWMAN. He died on Monday, May 2, 2011, in Spring City, Tenn. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wilma Bessie (CALHOUN) NEWMAN; three daughters, Cyntha Lee, Nikki and Dana; one son, Russell Wayne; two sisters, Peggy and Joann; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Vernon Stone officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. DUNCAN was born on May 17, 1939, in Atwood to Doyle Homer and Beatrice Pauline (McCARN) DUNCAN. He died Monday, May 2, 2011, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife Audra of the home; three daughters, Tena and husband Billy Jack, and Brenda and husband Dave, and Lea Ann and husband Dee; three stepdaughters; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Al Ruckman officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. KEECH was born on May 23, 1948, in Sallisaw to Bill BARBER and Annie (KIDD) BARBER. She died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Mindy, and Monica; one sister, Doris; two brothers, B.J. and V.C.; and one grandchild.
Barbara J. WALLACE of Sallisaw was born on Oct. 7, 1940, in Tulsa and passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark., at the age of 70. She is survived by two nephews, Addison and Alan; one niece, Jenniefer; and several other family and friends. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Buffington Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
Billy Joe WILSON, 79, of Muldrow died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Oct. 23, 1931, in Muldrow to Pete Wilson and Josie Wilson. No formal service is planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Survivors include his companion, Shirley of the home; one daughter, Cindy Jo; one son David Bryan; and five grandchildren.

Eva M. CAMPBELL, 90, of Amarillo, Texas died on Monday, May 9, 2011. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo with Pastor Chris Robeson of the Coulter Road Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mrs. CAMPBELL was born on Jan. 9, 1921, in Sequoyah County to Henry and Addie MEADOWS. She married Harold L. CAMPBELL on Feb. 18, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, Harold L. CAMPBELL Sr., her siblings, Mamie MEADOWS, Maggie DAVIS, Bonnie MEADOWS, Jessie WALLS, Debs MEADOWS, Eula LOCKHART, Winnie RENFRO, Eunice HOUSE, Bill MEADOWS and Curtis MEADOWS. Survivors include a daughter, Carol; two sons, Harold Lee Jr. and Gary L. and wife Susan; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She died on Friday, May 6, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Earl and James; one sister, Bertha; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie NORRIS and her parents.
Jamie Paulette PAQUIN, 42, of Gore passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at her home in Gore. She was born on July 11, 1968, in Tulsa to Jerry and Linda PAQUIN. Paulette is survived by her parents; sister, Tara; brother, Layne; two nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; and two aunts. He married Pamela Marie GRAY on Oct. 22, 1982, in Roland. Survivors include his wife, Pam PUTMAN of the home; one daughter, Melia, one son, Kyle; his parents; and two sisters, Lethia and husband, Stephen, and Athena.
Donald E. SILK SANDERS of Muldrow was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Claremore to Jessie SILK and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Muldrow at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife, Loretta of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth, Veronica and Patricia and husband Lawrence; one stepdaughter, Connie and husband, Harry; two stepsons, Presley and wife Monica, and Daymon and wife Penny; nine sisters, Wanda, Lillian and husband, Karl, and June, Arla and husband Todd, Shirley, Betty, Peggy, Judy, and Brenda; five brothers, Howard, Gerald, Tommy, Donald and Jerry; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neely SANDERS, Jean, his wife of 44 years, and one stepson, Robert ALLISON Sr. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. She died Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Roland. She married Johnnie D. SATTERFIELD on Nov. 3, 1945, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1996. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Cindy; two sisters, Etta Mae and Anna; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry, two sisters, Myrtle PREWETT and Maud VAUGHN and four brothers, John, George, Calvin and Cassie BOND.

Virginia Joyce McCOY ST. JOHN of Vian was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Marble City to Sam and Maggie (REESE) McCOY and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Sallisaw at the age of 86. She is survived by four daughters, Saphronia, Sylvia and Bill, Edith and Charlene; one son, Herbert; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charlie ST. JOHN, one son, Charles Barritt ST. JOHN Jr., and one great-grandson, Christian LOGAN.

Billy Dale ALLEN was born on Sept. 12, 1934, in Ringling, the son of Aubrey Curtis Bob ALLEN and Alta Rhea (ANDERSON) ALLEN NEWTON. On Dec. 3, 1954, he was married to Donna Kathryn KARCHER in Shawnee. He passed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Sallisaw. Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Donna ALLEN of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Connie, and Shane and Gail; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Darrel, and Lisa and Kelly; four grandsons; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Keith and family; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Tonya Rhea BRABOY and one grandson, Derek Shane ALLEN. Funeral services are being held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Hazelgene McLellan KING was born on April 1, 1925, in Pawhuska, the daughter of John T. Jack McLELLAN and Myrtle Belle (MARSHALL) McLELLAN. She married Thomas William Tom KING on Oct. 23, 1945, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1981, in Sallisaw. Mrs. KING passed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Fort Smith. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law, Treva and Howard, Jenna and Jack, and Dr. Patti and Sheldon; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Elaine; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Daphna JORDAN and Myrle SHELTON and two brothers, Jack and Wayne McLELLAN. She married Harry PALMER on April 13, 1944, in Sequoyah County. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1998. Survivors include four daughters Vicki, and Brenda, Sue and Nita; three sons, Jim, Tim and Tom; three sisters, Vera, Ola Mae and Virgie; one brother, Amos; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. COATNEY was born on July 20, 1939, in Sallisaw to Troy MATTHEWS and Vera (STEELE) MATTHEWS. She died on Monday, May 23, 2011, in Sallisaw. She married Henry Lee COATNEY Sr., on July 16, 1958, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2008. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Sue; one son, Henry Jr.; five sisters, Darlene SLATERY of Sallisaw, Nelda BROWN of Gans, Sue SHEPPARD of Oregon, Kay WILCOX of Fort Smith, Ark., and Jean; two brothers, Sammy and Kenny; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley Faye COPENHAVER, 59, of Sallisaw was born on April 15, 1952, in Elk City to Edgar D. Bill WILLSIE and Charity Lorene (YANDELL) WILLSIE. She died on Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Sallisaw. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She married Albert Lee COPENHAVER on March 17, 1971, in Sayre. He preceded her in death in 1985, Survivors include one daughter, Lisa; one son, Jimmy; one sister, Norma; and seven grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Billie Jean WILLSIE.

Mrs. FITZSIMMONS was born on Oct. 16, 1922, in Vian to Ira Pinkston GOODWIN and Minnie Belle (RUARK) GOODWIN. She died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, in Gore. She married Wilson Carnell FITZSIMMONS Sr., on Aug. 10, 1942, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Peter, Marie, and Brenda and David; one son, Wilson Jr., of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, John, Ingram, Riley and Wesley GOODWIN.

Mrs. HICKS was born on Nov. 19, 1926, in Vian to John Newton MONTGOMERY and Zelpha (WARD) MONTGOMERY. She died on Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Muskogee. She married Harold HICKS on April 24, 1982, in Tahlequah. Survivors include her husband, Harold of the home; two daughters, Pat and Renee; two sons, Tom and Marty; three stepchildren, Cathy, Pepper and Wayne; 216 foster children; one sister, Shirley; two brothers, T.M. and James; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Raymond MARTIN, one stepson, Chuck HICKS, one daughter-in-law, Barbara BALLARD, one sister, Hazel WILLIS, four brothers, Harlen, WARD, J.D. and Jack MONTGOMERY, one granddaughter and one stepgranddaughter.

Mrs. OLSON was born on Sept. 12, 1928, in Fort Smith, Ark., to J.D. FULLER and Elois (WRAY) FULLER. She died on Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Tulsa. Survivors include two daughters, Audrey Irene and Sandra Lorraine; one sister, Neata; a half-brother, Larry; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donlad C. OLSON, a sister, her parents and her stepmother, Ollie Irene FULLER.

Mrs. PATTON was born on June 22, 1938, in Longview, Texas to Arnold Dana and Jemima Marie (WILLIAMS) LASATER. She died on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Sperry. Survivors include her husband, Frank Eugene PATTON of the home; children, Roger and wife, Beverly, Ken and wife, Jacki, Kelli and husband, Ronnie, and Karla and husband Kris ; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Karen ROBERTS.
Cecil QUALLS Sr., of Muldrow was born on Dec. 20, 1924, in Muldrow to Even and Frona (Ballard) Qualls and passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark., at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife Irene of the home; one daughter, Rose and her husband, Wes; one son, Teddy and his wife, Carolyn; one brother, Houston, seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Cecil QUALLS Jr., and Clyde QUALLS, and three brothers, L.E., Arvil and Ted QUALLS. Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Belfonte Church with the Rev. Tom Cochran and Rev. Floyd Kester officiating. Burial will follow in Seabolt Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
Private services were held for Linda Gail STODDARD, 61, of Sallisaw. Burial was at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. STODDARD was born on July 30, 1949, in Fort Smith to Louie James and Verna E. (GARTRELL) KEECH. She died on Friday, May 20, 2011, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two brothers, Louie and Eddie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph STODDARD, her parents, and a sister, Karen Lynn McHENRY.

Mr. OWEN was born on Sept. 18, 1927, in Arkansas City, Kan., to Thomas Miller OWEN and Laina Marie (JONES) OWEN. He died on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in McAlester. He married Jeanne GROSE on Sept. 18, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nev. She preceded him in death on Jan. 15, 2000. Survivors include his companion, Theresa; and numerous family members in Kansas and California.

He died on Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Doris Ruth COOK on Aug. 27, 1965, in Vian. Survivors include his wife, Doris PACK of the home; two daughters, Stacy and Wendi; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Phyllis WILLIS.

He died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in Sallisaw. He married Loyce Gean MARTIN on Dec. 27, 1956, in Tulsa. She preceded him in death on May 18, 1997.
