Roy Dale BLAUVELT of Muldrow was born July 18, 1966, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Roy and Carol Jane (CHILDRESS) BLAUVELT and passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, in Muldrow at the age of 44. He is survived by his wife, Karla of the home; one daughter, Leighann and husband Chad; two grandchildren; one son, Cody; one sister, Tammy and husband Joe; mother and stepfather, Carol and James GOINS; two stepsisters, Tina and Jenny; and two stepbrothers, Steven and Bryan. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Kendall BLAUVELT. Funeral Services are being held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Victory Temple with the Rev. Charles Phillips and the Rev. Kenneth Royal officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Paul HAYNES, 90, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Thomas Haynes officiating. Burial was at the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HAYNES was born on June 21, 1920, in Charleston, Ark., to Wallace HAYNES and Cora (BOLLINGER) HAYNES. He died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Sallisaw. He married Alma Sue LESTER on March 15, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife Alma Sue HAYNES of the home; one daughter, Karen; one son Joe; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and two sisters.

Russell Lynn HOWARD, 70, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2010, in Stilwell. He was born on Sept. 21, 1940, in Ness City, Kan. Survivors include two sons, Dawayne and Blaine; one stepson, Kent; and one brother, Kenny.  No formal service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funerals and Crematory of Tulsa.

Mrs. Othel E. LOWRIMORE, 95, of Sallisaw passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, in Sallisaw. She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Blocker community, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin HOLDEN and Frances Dollie (STIPE) HOLDEN. She was married to Maro Arthur LOWRIMORE on Oct. 17, 1933, in Blocker community. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1996, in Sallisaw. Survivors are, five daughters and two sons-in-law, Virginia and Johnny, Patricia, Janie, Connie, and Martha and David; five sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Sarah, Wendel and June, Leroy and Ruth, and Monroe and Kay, and Ronnie and Tina; 34 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Watsie, and Florence and Dewitt; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene AGENT on Dec. 21, 2008, six sisters and two brothers. Funeral services are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Monroe Lowrimore and Bro. Kenneth Lowrimore officiating. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Frank F. SMITH, 54, of Muldrow are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. SMITH was born on Aug. 16, 1956, in Poteau to Frank Fortland SMITH Sr. and Paralea Yvonne (DAY) SMITH. He died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Muldrow. He married Donna Lynn BROWN on Sept. 9, 1983, in Alma, Okla. Survivors include his wife, Donna SMITH of the home; one daughter, Misty; three sons, Brent, Cody and Colter; his mother; two sisters, Wincy, and Donna Fern; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mitcheal William TUBBS, 25, of Vian were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian with the Revs. Chris Armer and Terry Guthrie officiating. Burial was at Drake Stand Cemetery west of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. TUBBS was born on Feb. 21, 1985, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Michiel William TUBBS and Macie Jeanette (LEE) TUBBS. He died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Vian. Survivors include his parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Myka and Chris; one niece; maternal grandfather, Herbert LEE and his wife, Barbara; paternal grandmother, Louise TUBBS; special friends, Amy and Bobby; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita WATERS LEE and paternal grandfather, Tommy TUBBS.

Calvin Coolidge MULLEN of Gore was born Jan. 19, 1942, in Gum Springs to Monroe and Edith (FULLER) MULLEN and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, in Tulsa at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife, Elsie of the home; three daughters, Maye Lynn, and  Perry, Tina and husband, Verlon, and Bertie and Danny; four sons, Justin and wife, Tammie,  James and wife, Barbara, J.T. and wife, Dennette, and Jimmie and wife, Becky; two sisters, Maye and Duane, and Geney; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Monroe Jr., and one great grandson, Tucker EMERSON.  Services are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Braggs High School Gym with the Rev. Cletus Jones and the Rev. Don Niblet officiating. Burial will follow in Evening Shade-McCoy Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Clifford POINDEXTER, 68, of Gans died on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Jan. 1, 1942, in Vian to Clyde POINDEXTER and Billie Bernice (HENSLEY) POINDEXTER. He married June METHENY on Sept. 22, 1966, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, June POINDEXTER of the home; two sons, Gaylon Lee, and Byron Scott; his mother; four sisters, Jewell, Rossie, Janice and Norma; two brothers, Verlin and Wilburn; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. No formal service is planned. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Irene M. BROWN, 83, of Vian were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Church in Vian with the Rev. Jean Rozell Campbell and Mr. Fred Campbell officiating. Burial was at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. BROWN was born on May 21, 1927, in Red River, N.M., to Cecil E. REED and Helen Francis (Lilly) REED. She died on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Vian. Survivors include two sons, Jim and Ron; two sisters, Pauline, and Hazel Ann; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Sylvia Louise CANTRELL MYERS JAMES, 89, of Madill passed away Thursday, Nov 4, 2010, at the hospital in Madill. She was born at her grandparents home on May 13, 1921, in Pawnee to the late Rob and Ruth CANTRELL. Louise married her childhood sweetheart Joe MYERS in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1974.  She later married Dillard JAMES in 1999. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry and husband, Ted; one son R.L. and wife Victoria; two stepsons, David and wife, Peggy; and Tandy and wife Genia; one stepdaughter, Becky and husband Odes; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; and one step great-grandson. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Phillip Ray MYERS, one grandson, Ronnie MYERS and two brothers, Clifford and Maynard CANTRELL. Funeral services were held at 11 am Tuesday at the Oakview Baptist Church in Madill. Interment was at the Lawson Cemetery in Yale..Dr David James and Tandy James officiated the services. Music was arranged by Virginia Dugan and Carol Combs. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home of Madill.

The Rev. Troy Dean TANKSLEARY, 81, of Muldrow passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Muldrow. He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Panama, the son of Albert Preston TANKSLEARY and Clara Georgia (GULLEY) TANKSLEARY. He married Elizabeth Louise CAMPBELL on Jan. 24, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors are, his wife Liz TANKSLEARY of the home; one daughter Tonia; one son, Gary and fiancée, Beverly; two granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandson; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Pete; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Tina; one sister-in-law, Billie Ann; special friends, J.C. and Barbara, Larry and Sharon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as numerous friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lenora LASITER and Lorena CARLTON, two brothers, Gene and Wendell TANKSLEARY, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jessie and Lucy CAMPBELL, brother-in-law, Sam CAMPBELL and son-in-law, Ferrell REED. Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Muldrow, with the Revs. Kenneth Gibson and Eddie Reichert officiating. Burial followed at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.

Raymond Lynn WYLIE of Forney, Texas passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Sunnyvale, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on June 29, 1942, in Muldrow to the late Raymond and Leona (COLLINS) WYLIE.  Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters. Those left to celebrate his live are his wife, Phyllis WYLIE of Forney; a son, Brian; a daughter, Susan; a sister, Mona and husband Lloyd; as well as three grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends; as well as four special uncles, Eugene, Darwin, Stanley and Ewell.

Burial is at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. EDDINGFIELD was born on Jan. 6, 1927, in Brushy to George BRANHAM and Erma (HALE) BRANHAM. She died on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, in Tulsa She married Noble EDDINGFIELD Jr. on Nov. 29, 1971, in Stilwell. Survivors include her husband, Noble of the home; two daughters, Sharon and Carolyn; three sons, Joe, Larry and Gary; one sister, Joyce; three brothers, Jim, Jack and Glen; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Sanford Ray “Stan” WALLACE, 75 of Sebree, Ky., are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sebree First Baptist Church with Bro. William Marshall and Dr. Bob Hardison officiating. Burial is at Springdale Cemetery under the direction of Tomblinson Funeral Home of Sebree. Mr. WALLACE was born on April 25, 1935, in Maple to Lester and Edna (TORBETT) WALLACE. He died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, near Evansville, Ind. Survivors include one daughter, Belinda and Kenny; two sons, Barry and Shari, and John and Tamie; three sisters, Berniece, Joan and Mildred; three brothers, Lester, Wayne, and Herbert; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (GREGORY) WALLACE and three brothers, Bobby Don, Dale and Harold Dean WALLACE.

Edward BYERS Sr., age 81, of Harrah was born on Nov. 25, 1928, in Cherokee County, Tahlequah. He was the son of Nicodemus and Charlotte (PIGEON) BYERS. He left this life on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in Midwest City. Ed and Ida were married on Oct. 22, 1955, in Tulsa. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joe and Charlie, two sisters, Fannie and Lillie, one granddaughter, Alexa and two great-grandchildren Shianne and Jada. Survivors include his wife, Ida BYERS of Harrah; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bo and Debbie, and Ronnie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Randy, and Pitsie and Chuck; five sisters, Nancy, Virginia, Regina, Annabell and Betty; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah with the Rev. Kathy Longhat officiating. Interment followed at 3 p.m. at Barnoskie Cemetery in Vian. Services were under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service of Harrah.

Funeral services for Verda Mae COX, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. COX was born on June 8, 1920, in Davenport, Iowa to Allard ANDERSON and Karen Catherine Josephine Maria (ARANIOUS) ANDERSON. She died on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Sallisaw. She married Johnson Sinclair COX on Feb. 4, 1939, in Riverside, Calif. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Georgia and Juanita; one brother, Fred; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Marie COX, one son, John Michael COX, her parents, one sister, Alta ELLER and one brother, Allard ANDERSON.

Graveside services for Jessie Dale HARMON, 69 of Sallisaw are being held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian with Jim Murphy officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. HARMON was born on Jan. 15, 1941, in Marble City to Alex HARMON and Mildred Myrtle RANDLE. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one brother, Charles.

Graveside services for Fred JOHNSON, 55, of Muldrow were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Redland Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Reeves officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. JOHNSON was born on Jan. 7, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., to Daniel Horace JOHNSON and Tennie Hamby EASTLAND. Survivors include three daughters, Stephanie, Deanna and Andrea; one son, David; one sister, Gerry; four brothers, Ted, Bill, Ronnie and J.E.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harold J. “Sonnie” RITTER, 84, of Vian are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at Vian Assembly of God Church with Jim Murphy officiating. Burial is at Box Cemetery north of Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. RITTER was born on Feb. 17, 1926, in Blackgum to William Henry RITTER and Ada Bell (LaBASS) RITTER. He died on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, in Muskogee. He married Mona Roberta DAVIS on July 20, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2008, in Vian. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Sally, and Mona, and Debra and Joel; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Jim ARMSTRONG and Roy BENNETT, his parents, two sisters, Margaret RASH and Laverne RAY and one brother, Gay RITTER.

Harvey Lowell SCOGGINS of Vian was born on March 16, 1933, in Cookson to Jess and Nellie (ROSS) SCOGGINS and passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Vian at the age of 77. He is survived by two sons, Troy and wife, Michelle, and Damon and Brandy; two sisters, Marie and Sue and husband, Bob;  three brothers, Joe, Ferrell, and Harold wife, Alice; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arthur and Jesse SCOGGINS and two sisters, Lois and Merle BENNETT. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial followed in Proctor Cemetery in Cookson under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

Funeral services for Patricia Mae TOUNZEN TYLER, 52, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Akins Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Burial was at Maple Cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. TYLER was born on Aug. 23, 1958, in Sallisaw to Horace “Pony” TOUNZEN and Jesse Pauline (CANTRELL) TOUNZEN. She died on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three brothers, Harold, Howard and Henry.

Private services for Frances Eleanor DOMINIC, 92, of Sallisaw will be held at later date for the family. Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. DOMINIC was born on March 29, 1918, in Akron, Ohio to Robert JOHNSON and Johanna JOHNSON. She died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sons, Danny and Bill; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bessie Ellen MOORE, 79 of Vian are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Agents Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial is at Drake Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MOORE was born on April 5, 1931, in Drakes Prairie Comm., Oklahoma to Butch RANDEL and Agnes RANDEL. She died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, in Vian. Survivors include one son, Ron; one sister, Edna; one brother, George; four grandchildren.

Isaiah was born on Nov. 17, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Jonathan Michael CHERRY and Aubry Anne (WALSH) CHERRY. He died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his parents of the home; one sister, Elexis; and grandparents and great-grandparents.

Funeral services for Aaron Page CRABTREE, 36, of Sallisaw will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will be at the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CRABTREE was born on Feb. 2, 1974, in Fort Sill to Floyd Lee CRABTREE and Charlotte Lanora ECHOLS. He died on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his companion, Janet; his mother; his father; brother, Curtis Wayne; and his grandparents and other relatives and friends.

Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. ROSS was born on Jan. 23, 1966, in Marysville, Calif. to Freddie Lee ROSS and Sherry Elaine (UNDERWOOD) WOODSIDE. He died on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Sallisaw. He married Teresa Lou COWETT on Aug. 25, 1994, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife Teresa ROSS of the home; three daughters, Shelby, Chasity and Casey; two sons, Devon and Robbie; mother and stepfather, Sherry and Rodney WOODSIDE; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather and mother-in-law, Dale MORRIS.

Funeral services for Jack PALMER Sr. 84, of Roland, were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial was at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Navy Honors under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. Mr. PALMER was born on July 4, 1926, in Coalgate to Harvey PALMER and Tildy Frances PALMER. He died on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, in Fort Smith. Survivors include on daughter, Betty; four sons, Jim, Tim, Jack, and Jack; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary PALMER.  

Funeral services for Keith STIMSON, 22, of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Friday at Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home in Borger, Texas under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. STIMSON was born on Nov. 1, 1988, in Borger to Marvin and Hope (MARRS) STIMSON. He died on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, in Sallisaw.  He married Brittany DAVIS in 2009. Survivors include his wife, Brittany STIMSON of the home; one daughter, Alexis; one son, Skylar; his mother, Hope FLOYD; his father; two sisters, Tarah and Alissa; three brothers, Charles , Jacob and Bobby Ray; and his grandparents.

Mr. HOUSE was born on Sept. 7, 1943, in Sallisaw to Samuel HOUSE Jr. and Edna (SITTINGDOWN) HOUSE. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Stacy; one son, Jeff; six sisters, Patricia, Lena, Brenda, Pam, Linda and Frances; two brothers, Kenneth, and Donald; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lillie HOUSE and Loretta GAMBLE.

Funeral services for Larry Ray SLIMP, 62, of Muldrow were held at noon on Monday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial was at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. SLIMP was born on Dec. 21, 1947, in Sayer to Homa Wise SLIMP and Beryl Claretta (WRIGHT) SLIMP. He died on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Fort Smith.. He married Annetta Kay TAYLOR on Aug. 27, 1968, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Survivors include his wife, Annetta SLIMP of the home; one daughter, Lisa; one son, Larry Dale; two sisters, Linda and Gail; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Angela Virginia SPOTTEN, 48, of Muldrow will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow with the Revs. Shawn Money and Shawn Gard officiating. Burial will be at Seabolt Cemetery northeast of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. SPOTTEN was born on April 4, 1962, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Ralph Eugene JOHNSON and Phyllis Virginia (HORTON) JOHNSON. She died on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Michael Daniel SPOTTEN on May 1, 2001, in Rogers, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Michael SPOTTEN of the home; two daughters, Sirena and Brandi; her father; one sister, Valencia; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother.
