Anthony Ray CARLTON, 23, of Vian died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Cookson, Okla. He was born Jan. 1, 1980, in Stilwell, Okla. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow. He is survived by his parents, Richard and LaRita Jody CARLTON of the home; maternal grandfather, James STIDY; paternal grandparents, Richard and Velma CARLTON; paternal great-grandmother, Oma CARLTON; and a sister, Terri Denise.

Mary Allene DUDLEY, 76, of Muldrow died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was born March 20, 1927, in Wainwright, Okla. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God in Muldrow with burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland.  She is survived by two daughters, Marion and Lisa; a son, Michael; two sisters, Clara and Arlene; a brother, Luther; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was born on Oct 31, 1914, in Sallisaw, to George W CHUCULATE and Elmira (FAULKNER) CHUCULATE. He died Wednesday, Oct 1, 2003, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one step-son, Charles Leon; one grandson; one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Della Mae PENCE CHUCULATE in 1980; and his second wife, Pauline RANDLE CHUCULATE in 1996.

He died Thursday, Oct 2, 2003 in Fort Smith. Survivors include two sons, Marcus Olen and Kaleb Alen; his mother, Mary DAWS; one sister, Becky; three brothers, Larry Dean, Olen Dale and Paul Howard; and other relatives and friends, including a nine month old girl, Shelby.

He was born on Dec 6, 1974, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Jerry Don RICHARDSON and Charity Ruth (FINE) RICHARDSON. He died on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2003, in Sallisaw. He married Stephanie FAIR on Nov 9, 1996, in Akins. He died Sept 29, 2003, in Muskogee. He married Dianne WHITE  on Nov. 12, 1976, in Eufaula. Survivors include his wife, Dianne BAILEY of the home; three sons, Ralph Andrew Jr., John and Jarrod; one daughter, Lisa; eight grandchildren; one brother, Charles; and his mother.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services for Debra Kay BOURASSA, 50, of Muskogee, were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina, with Rev. Bobby Belew officiating. Burial was at 4 p.m. in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Locust Grove. She was born on Dec 31, 1952, in Tulsa, to Felix and Hazel (DUTY) BARROW. She died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Muskogee. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Stephanie; three granddaughters; one grandson; her parents of Salina; one brother, Michael and her companion. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral services for Charlotte Inez FORD, 49, of Richardson, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, at the Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. FORD was born to Charles and Wilma GOINES. She died Friday, Oct 3, at her home. Survivors include one daughter, Lauren; one son, Daniel; her parents; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and her husband Gary, and Cathy and her husband Mike, and Carla and her husband Barry; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Eathel Kay JACKSON, 83, of Alta Loma, Calif., formerly of Muldrow, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Draper Memorial Chapel in Ontario, Calif., with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, under the direction of Draper Mortuary of Ontario. He was born on Feb. 28, 1920, in Oklahoma, to Sam JACKSON and Minerva (HOLT) JACKSON. He died Friday, Oct 3, 2003, in Upland, Calif. Survivors include one son, Martin "Marty"; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Carthel; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, R.V. "Son" REMY; and one sister, Madeline JAMES.

OATHER MORPER was born in Ada, Oklahoma November 19, 1910 and died in Rancho San Diego, California on October 5, 2003. He was married to  Peggy CANDLE on Dec. 24, 1939. Their children include Myron Sonny, Joey Lind, and Caron. He has six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Internment was in El Cajon, Calif followed by a memorial service at the Assembly of God Church in El Cajon, Calif.

She died Sunday, Oct 5, 2003, in Little Rock Ark. Survivors include her husband, Thomas of the home; one son, Mohammed; her mother,  Brenda PARRISH; maternal grandmother, Annie Laura HOWARD; two sisters, Haley and Michelle; three brothers, Eric, David and Michael.

Survivors include one son, Wesley and his wife Dusty; three grandsons; two grand-daughters; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, La Rue, Joyce, Tess and Bobbie; and one son-in-law, David. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Mary Jean (SHELTON) HARDT; her parents, and two brothers, Hubert and Charles SANDERS.

Burial in Seabolt Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direciton of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born March 23,1955, in Tahlequah, to Clint NAKEDHEAD and Lorene (SHELL) NAKEDHEAD. She died Monday, Oct 6, 2003, in Muldrow. She married Danny SPOON on Dec 10, 1988, in Stilwell. Survivors include her husband of the home; three daughters and one son-in-law, Danielle, Amanda, Melissa and her husband James; five grnadchildren; her mother; six sisters, Barbara, Dena, Sherry, Brandy, Shannon and Dawn; six brothers, Huckleberry, Clint Jr, Thomas, Brian, Leland and Gary; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncldes, aunts and other relatives and friends.

Tom WALTERS, 48, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, in Sallisaw. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley; his parents, J.C. and Dorothy WALTERS; two sisters, Judy and Jana; two brothers, Terry and Tim.

Graveside services for Marjorie WHITSETT, 78, of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct 10, 2003, at the Sallisaw City Cemetery, with Rev.Vernon Lawrence officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. She was born on June 24, 1925, in Mitchell, S.D., to George and Pauline (HOAGLAND) HOWARD. She died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband Joseph E. Barbara Jean BENNETT, 61, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Sunday, Oct 5, 2003, in an area hospital. No services are planned, cremation was under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of  Fort Smith. She was born Dec26, 1941, in Sallisaw, to Jim STROUD and Betty CASKEY. Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bobby" BARNES of Fort Smith; one daughter, Shawn; one grandchild; her mother, Betty FARNSWORTH; two sisters, Jackie and Betty; and two brothers, Jim and Tim.

Funeral services for Lee Travis CRUM, 53, of Braggs, were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct 14, 2003, at the Braggs High School Gym, with Rev. Ted Rogers officiating. Burial was in South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. He was born on Aug 25,1950, in Muskogee, to Alfred Lee CRUM and Ima Joyce (WASHINGTON) CRUM. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Brian; one stepson, Bobby; her parents, Jack and Betty CHOATE; two sisters, Becky and Anna; four brothers, Andy, Joe, David and Sam; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha CHOATE.

He was born July 17, 1954, in Sallisaw, to Harold Wayne JAMISON and Lou Ellen Mae (STEVENS) JAMISON. He died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Tulsa. He married Pam HENSLEY in April of 1974 in Oklahoma. She preceded  him in death in Feb 1987.  Survivors include two daughters, Latosha and Cherese and her husband Michael;  three grandchildren; five sisters, Carma Lou, Lynola, Vondal, Tonya and Peggie; two brothers, James and Eddie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Sue , Marilyn and  Ken, and Melba; and his father-in-law, Joe HENSLEY.

He was born on March 16, 1912, three miles north of Porum, to Louis Wiley HOOSE and Alice E.(NEAL) HOOSE. He died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Owasso. He married Dovie DOWLING on Oct 14, 1934 in Younger Bend. She preceded him in death  on March 22, 1996. Survivors include his children, Thellsia, Richard and Elsie and Tommy; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Elza and his wife Jane; and one sister Thelma.

James E. McGUIRE, 50, of Roland died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dona McGUIRE; his wife, Judith Kay McGUIRE. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at First Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Roland Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by his father, Alfred "J" McGUIRE; three sisters, Alfreda Ann, Kathy and Peggy June; a brother, Donnie ; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral  services for  Juanita RICHARDSON, 69, of Sallisaw are being held  at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Gary Mullen officiating. Burial is in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born June 1, 1934, in Paw Paw, to George BRYANT and Maude (SHEPPARD) BRYANT. She died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in Sallisaw. Survivors  include  four daughters, Helen and her husband Buck, Charlotte and her husband Steve, Sandy and her husband David, and Janet; a son, Billy and his wife Vicky of Sallisaw; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy and Ida and her husband Ken; two brothers, Taylor and his wife Shirley, and Melvin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill G. RICHARDSON; two daughters, Christine LOWRIMORE  in 1998 and Shirley RICHARDSON in 1951.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Francille and her husband Iva, and Linda; one son and daughter-in-law, Clinis and his wife Tommie Sue; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella HARRISON; his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Jami Moore officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on July 7, 1960, in Elkhart, Ind., to Orlin Warren MOORE and Dorothy Mae (RUSSELL) MOORE. He died  on Sunday, Oct 19, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his mother of the home; two brothers, Jim and Steve; and nine nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Maverick James SALLEE, 2, of Eufaula will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Marble City Cemetery, with Steven Suttmiller officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Oct 12, 2001 in Weatherford, to Floyd Eugene SALLEE and Tammy Lynn (YOUNG) SALLEE. Survivors include his parents of the home; his maternal grandmother, Shirley YOUNG; paternal grandparents, David and Barbara SALLEE; his maternal great-grandmother, Nora McLEMORE; and his God Parents, Jeff and Margo GATE.

Memorial services for Naomi Ruth SHEDROW, 70, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., formerly of Muldrow, were held on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Hilton Had Island, under the direction of The Island Funeral Home and Crematory of Hilton Head Island. She was born on Sept 15, 1933, in Redland, to Lawton and Beulah BETHEL. She died on Saturday, Oct 18, 2003, in her home. Survivors include her husband, Don SHEDROW; one daughter Meg; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kim; three grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Talitha and Dick, and Anna and Dean; two aunts, Sybil and Mamie ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services for Marie L. SIKES, 57, of Ozark, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. She died Sunday, Oct 19, 2003, in Fort Smith. Survivors include her husband, Eddie SIKES; three daughters, Agena, Shelly and Annette; seven grandchildren; one sister, Marie; and two brothers, William and Harold .

Graveside services for Darrel TAYLOR, 57, of Webbers Falls, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Vaught Cemetery, with Rev. Jean Rozell officiating, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. He was born on Nov. 15, 1945, at Wellston, to Sam and Imogene (PRICE) TAYLOR. He died Saturday, Oct 18, 2003, in St Johns Medical Center in Tulsa. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Sam and his wife Jackie, and Charlie and Sara; eight grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Jackie, and Mary and Steve; one brother and sister-in-law, Robbie and Florene; his companion, Sue; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Matthew TAYLOR.  

Funeral services for Ben W. THOMASON, 80, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Gore, with Rev. Don Chaffin officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. He was born on Dec 26, 1922, in Vian to Ben H. THOMASON and Letha Lou Alice (HESS) THOMASON. He died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Fort Smith. He married Lorene R. FORBUS on Dec. 16, 1946, in Sallisaw. Survivors include  his wife, Lorene THOMASON of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and her husband William; one son and daughter-in-law, James  and his wife Tammy; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson;. two sisters, Leona and Patsy; and one brother, Arvil.

 Funeral services for John E. THORNTON, 81, of Porum, were held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct 20, 2003, at the Agent Chapel in Gore, with Rev. Len McCarty officiating.  Burial  was in Fields Cemetery near Porum under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Oct 15, 1922, to William "Bill" THORNTON and Ella Mae (ANDERSON) THORNTON. He died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in Porum. He married of Mary WEBSTER on May 10, 1947, in Sallisaw. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2003. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and her husband Gary, Debbie and her husband James, and Lola and her husband Tommy, and Jenne and her husband Ricky; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry and Johnne and his wife Ronda, and Billy and his wife Sherry; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille and Juanita; three brothers, Buck, Emmitt and Will D.

Graveside services for Michael Anthony TURNER, 48, of Poteau, were  held at 2 p.m.  on Monday at the Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. He was born Sept 7, 1955, in Granite City, Ill., to Robert and Lesteen (HUFF) TURNER. He died Friday, October 17, 2003, in his home. He married Diana BROWNFIELD on Jan. 1, 1977, in Ink, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Diana TURNER of the home; three daughters and one son-in-law, Regina and her husband Alex, Terri and Lyssa; two grandchildren; his mother of Arkoma; two sisters, Carol . and Ruth; four brothers, Robert, Ronald, Lee and Tim; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Margaret Kumpe, 85, of San Antonio, formerly of Sallisaw, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in San Antonio. She was the widow of Earl KUMPE. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Brent Cemetery in Gans under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by a son, David; two sisters, Maxine and Wilma; three brothers, Ed, Ralph and Roy; and two grandchildren.

John Epson SMITH, 68, of Sallisaw died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Fort Smith. Funeral servies will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God in Vian with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by a daughter, Renee; two stepdaughters, Chris and Sophie; a son, John Patrick; a stepson, T.D.; three sisters, Mary, Alice and Virginia; a brother, James; and three grandchildren.

Minnie Ruth WOODWARD, 78, of Marble City died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was the widow of George Osburn WOODWARD. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Marble City with burial at Flute Springs Cemetery near Marble City under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda and Nadine; a sister-in-law, Mattie; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Sue; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

James Ellis OWENS, 56, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, in Little Rock. He was born Jan. 2, 1947, in Heavener. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sallisaw City Cemetery with color guard provided by the Choctaw Nation and under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by his wife, Idell; two daughters, Jeanne and Jackie; a stepdaughter, Mitzie; a son, Johnie; a stepson, Joe; three sisters, Thelma, Nancy and Darlene; two brothers, Junior and Jerry; and eight grandchildren.

Ivan PAULSON, 83, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in Sallisaw. He was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Dwight, Kan. The body will be cremated under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, David ; three sisters, Virgie, Vinita, and Dorothy.
