Minutes of Church Conference

The Roland Missionary Baptist Church met in regular conference June 14, 1908 after scripture reading and comments on the same by Bro. BLAYLOC and prayer by Bro. R. V. HOMPSON .

Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.

The matter of setting the account for painting church house was again brought up. No disposition made of it.

The next meeting reference was the request of the church.

Bro. ADAMS stated that he had don the best he could to adjust the matter between himself and Bro. R. H. THOMPSON Had gone to Bro. Bob privately, then with one witness but without avail.

Bro. Bob requested Bro. ADAMS to reduce his charges to writing, Bro. ADAMS replied that no charges had been made.

After short talks by Bro. R. V. THOMPSON, Bro. ADAMS and Bro. R. H. THOMPSON, motion prevailed that the statement was made by Bro. ADAMS in endeavoring to comply with the scriptures be received.

Motion by Bro. R. V. THOMPSON that the Church ask Bro. ADAMS to reduce his charges to writing and that they be made a matter of record prevailed.

By motion, conference adjourned.

Motion carried that conference reconvene.

ADAMS again stated that he had never offered any charges against Bro. R.

H. THOMPSON to the church that he had only answered the charges which

R. H. THOMPSON had brought against him and had tried repeatedly to affect

a reconciliation upon the proposition that each forgive the other and never

to mention the matter again and asserted that he had never before heard of

a church demanding of one of its members to bring charges against another

and he (ADAMS) positively refused to do so in this instance but that he was

quite willing that his answer to Bro. R. H. THOMPSON . Charges be made a

matter of record.
