Prairie Grove Baptist Church met and being without a Moderator, Bro. S. D. TAYLOR was chosen Moderator Pro Tem

Minutes of last meeting read & approved.

The committee in the case of Bro. Edward McCLANAHAN reported. Reports received and committee discharged.

On motion Bro. S. D. TAYLOR was elected Pastor for this associational year and Bro. J. E. ADAMS was elected church clerk.

On motion, the Deacons are instructed to prepare subscription paper and see what amount can get subscribed for Pastors services for this year.

On motion, adjourned in order.

Preaching by our pastor-text John 10:27-28

Subject - The Security Of The Saints.

After which the Mod. announced the church in conference.

Minutes of the last meeting read & approved Bro. R. H. THOMPSON reported fifty-five dollars and twenty five cents subscription for Pastor Salary, Committee retained.

Letters of recommendation were granted Sister Susan WALKER, Bro. R. E. SUMMERHILL, Sister M. E. SUMMERHILL, and Sister Fannie TURNER, Bro. R. H. THOMPSON read a letter from Bro. R. C. POUNCEY (now living at Sutter Ind. Ter) to the Church acknowledging unchristian conduct-and asking the church to forgive him. Also, stating he and Sister Rosa POUNCEY desire that their membership remain with Prairie Grove Church indefinitely. By motion of Bro. P. A. WATTS the church unanimously expressed her willingness to forgive Bro. POUNCEY and the Clerk was instructed to write a letter of greeting to Bro. POUNCEY and inform him of the action of the church. By motion adjourned.

Sat, Feb. 25, 1900

Preaching by Bro. S. D. TAYLOR, subject the Christian armor. After which the Moderator announced the church in conference. Minutes of last meeting read & approved. Committee on Pastor salary reported, fifty-six ($56.00) dollars subscribed.

Report received and committee discharged. By motion the Clerk was instructed to record the subscription in church book. By motion adjourned.

After preaching by Bro. TAYLOR, the Church was called to order by the, Moderator for the transaction of business.

Minute of last meeting read and, approved upon motion of Bro. R. V. THOMPSON the moderator appointed Bros. P. A. WATTS, R. H. THOMPSON and R. V. THOMPSON a committee to prepare resolutions of respect for Bro. R. C. POUNCEY deceased.

By motion, adjourned.

After preaching by our Pastor, the church was called to order and transacted following business.

Minute of last meeting read and approved.

Committee on resolution of respect for Bro. R. C. POUNCEY deceased submitted. A resolution, which was adopted by unanimous vote and committee discharged.

Said resolution is recorded on page no. 42 of this book.

By motion, adjourned.
