Services set for Goeringer
Funeral services for Marie Goeringer, age 75 of Cordell, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie with Rev. David Darling officiating.
Goeringer died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at her home. She was born on Aug. 5, 1928 at Bessie, one of seven children born to John and Dorothy (Reinschmiedt) Wolf.
She grew up in Bessie and married Otto Goeringer on Aug. 5, 1948 at the Peace Lutheran Church. They made their home in Cordell.
Goeringer was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and of the Tabitha Circle. She worked at TG&Y for a few years and enjoyed going to plays at the Southwest Playhouse as well as playing Skip-Bo with friends.
Preceding her in death in 1985 was her husband. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Interment will be at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Bessie under the direction of the Kiesau-Marler Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include sisters, Lydia Godfrey and her husband, LeRoy, of Stillwater, Martha Kelley and her husband, J.M., of Clinton, Betty Goss and her husband, Bob, of Clinton, Dorothy Boulton and her husband, Johnny, of Tishomingo; brothers, Richard Wolf and his wife, Phyllis, of Kalamazoo, Mich. and E.J. Wolf of Gore, Okla., and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
