Larry Keith Marik

Funeral services for Larry Marik were held Monday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Burns Flat with Reverend Scott Liner and Reverend Loyd Hall officiating. Interment followed in the Canute Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.

Larry was born July 26, 1941 at Elk City to Fred and Opal (Weatherly) Marik and passed away June 27, 2003 at the age of 61.

He was raised in western Oklahoma until he was 10 years of age and then moved to Oklahoma City with his family where he graduated from Southeast High School.

Larry was married to Chris Pemberton on October 20, 1962 in Oklahoma City. They lived in Oklahoma City where he worked for Page Aircraft.

In 1975, the Mariks moved to the home place at Foss where they have lived since. Larry ranched and also had an automotive shop which he owned and operated from 1982 until 1986.

He was a member of the National Street Rod Association, National Hot Rod Association and the First Baptist Church of Burns Flat.

Survivors include his wife Chris of the Foss home; three children, Paula Briones of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Vickie Jones of Clinton, Oklahoma, and Kevin Marik of El Reno, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
