          Rites are today for W.T. PEBLEY
          William Tollie Pebley, 80, a resident of western 
		  Oklahoma since early childhood, died Monday morning, April 19, 1971 at 
		  his home east of Weatherford. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. 
		  today from the Zion Congregational Church, Rev. Harold Goldmann, the 
		  pastor and Rev. George BAKER, pastor of the Red Rock Methodist Church 
		  will be the officiating ministers. Burial will be in the Edwardsville 
		  Cemetery near Canute, Washita County, Oklahoma.
          He was born June 18, 1890, in Pilot Point, Texas, as a 
		  small child moving with his family to the Pumpkin Hill community near 
		  Canute.
          He was married in Canute on March 19, 1911 to Miss Eliza 
		  Ellen FULWIDER. After 12 years on a farm in that area, they moved west 
		  of Arapaho, where they resided until 1928 before living for a number 
		  of years in California and Texas. The Pebleys returned to Oklahoma to 
		  a farm near Weatherford in 1934. Because of health conditions, he 
		  retired from farming in 1967.
          He is survived by his wife Eliza of the home; three 
		  daughters, Mrs. Nora Drake, Oklahoma City; Mrs Haney May Baker, Sperry 
		  and Mrs. Betty Gilliland, Bethany; two sons, Alfred Pebley, Riveria 
		  Arizona and Ray (Jiggs) Pebley of Weatherford. Two brothers, Luther 
		  Pebley and Leonard Pebley both of Anaheim California; five sisters, 
		  Mrs. C.L. (Dorothy) Vest, Boise Idaho, Mrs. C.W. (Willie) Reynolds, 
		  and Mrs. Lena Jungkiet, Anaheim; Mrs. Fred (Beulah) Pheiffer, Long 
		  Beach California and Mrs. Emma Perry, Montibello, California, 22 
		  grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
