Rod Smiley submitted this photo of his great grandfather, Lewis Peter Burwell, First Sheriff of Major County, Oklahoma, 1907 to 1931. Burwell's daughter, Josephine M. Burwell married James Alexander "Willis" Smiley. James Smiley's father, Russell, was the Veternarian in Fairview, Oklahoma for many years from the 1920's to the 1950's.
