Daily Phoenix Our Oldest Mother Dies Less than two laps from the goal, Mrs. Pernetty Chamberlain was beaten by death last night in a brave attempt to pass the century mark. The 98-year-old woman died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Dora Bradshaw, 954 South K Street, at 7:15 o'clock following a brief illness. Mrs. Chamberlain is survived by five daughters and a son, George. The daughters are Mrs. Mary Duckworth, Okmulgee, Mrs. Mattie Cobb, Braggs, Mrs. Emma Smith, and Mrs. Bradshaw. The woman is believed to have been the oldest mother in Muskogee.
