James Leroy "Roy" Jones and wife Zena Maude Evans. Roy was born August 1, 1888, the son of Martin VanBuren Jones and Nancy Caroline McGuire of Ramona, Washington County, OK. They were married about 1907 and this picture was taken at about that time. Zena was born July 30, 1889, the daughter of Sarah Caroline Johnson and William Perry Evans. We have been told by family that William Perry Evans was a minister in the Methodist Church at Ochelata, Washington County, OK, but have no proof at this time. 

Zena had siblings Susie Alice Evans Beeson, Sarah Effie Evans Bean, Ethel Evans, William Wesley Evans, Annabelle "Ann" Evans Lucas, Eleanor M. "Elle" Evans Johnson, Alford R. Evans. James Leroy Jones died December 24, 1932, at the age of 44. He had Bright's disease. Zena died almost two years later, November 9, 1934, during sleep. Believed to have been a stroke. – Ilene Jones
