John Henry Woods and children, Thelma Inez and Jessie O'Dell
Woods
This photo was taken in Direct, Texas in 1914. The man in the hat is
John Henry Woods, born July 5, 1880, died, Feb.15, 1962 and is buried in
Darwin cemetery. The baby he is holding is my grandmother, Thelma
Inez (Woods) Bishop and she born Dec.12, 1913 in Direct, Texas and on
Sept.14, 1931 she married Henry Allen Bishop, born, Feb.5,1913 in Antlers,
Pushmataha Co. Okla. Thelma Inez (Woods) Bishop died on Jan.19, 1990 and
laid to rest beside her husband, Henry Allen Bishop at Darwin cemetery.
Henry Allen Bishop died on Jan.19, 1980 and ten years to the day prior to
the death of his wife. The little boy in the picture is Jessie O'Dell
Woods, he was born July 22, 1911 in Direct, Texas, he died Feb.24, 1983 and
is buried in Great Falls, Montana. Thelma Woods Bishop and Jessie O'Dell
Woods were the brother of Mr. Lee Woods, also buried in Darwin cemetery.
Jessie Woods married Sarah Zona Bell Bishop (sister to Henry Allen Bishop)
Henry Allen Bishop married Thelma Inez Woods (sister to Jessie O'Dell
Woods) in a double ring ceremony in Hugo, Okla. on Sept.14, 1931. Sarah
Zona Bell (Bishop)Woods was born Apr.13, 1914 in Nashville, Ark. and died
June 20, 1997 and is buried in Kallispell, Montana.
