This is a photo of my grandfather and unknown children. His name was James Thoms COWENS .
I think he is fourth one up on the left as your looking at the picture .
On the back of the picture is written
 "my jim bunch of boy, i half to see after all, them when they not in school. 7 of this boy milk
80 gallons of milk in 3 hr.and 40 min.have time them bess time"   signed  "Mary"
(Mary McDonald, was the wife of James Cowens)
The story goes,  she was a lot younger and they owned a farm in Checotah Oklahoma .
James died in 1946 but I do not know when picture was taken .
