The improved Cherokee Strip homestead of Walter
Scott Pruitt.
Photo taken ca. 1900. The one room shack eventually became the dining room of a nice country home.
In 1917 Walter married a young women, Jennie May Danford, who grew up on an adjacent
homestead. Their home and farm was in the Salt Fork Township, in the southeast
corner of
Grant County, Oklahoma.
