This picture (I think) was taken in Stephens County, Oklahoma. Vachel Stephens is sitting in the chair with Arnettie Wolf Stephens in the background. She was his third wife. His other two were Patsy Jane Davis and Artimis Oxford. He was born in Perry County, Tennessee; lived in Stephens County, Oklahoma; moved to Curry County, New Mexico, and then moved back to Stephens County, where he is buried in the Owens Prairie Cemetery in Stephens County.
