Bokoshe Elementary - 1939
LeFlore County, Oklahoma

Bokoshe Elementary School First Grade class of 1939.  My Dad, Bobby Eugene is the sixth from the right in the back row.  I still find it amazing that as late as 1939 many children were coming to school with no shoes.  A daunting reminder of how hard times were in those days
