This is Mt Zion school located on Highway 51 west of Tahlequah about 5 miles.  The old building, also once used as a church, still stands but is in very sad condition. There is also a grave yard adjoining it. People in Charleston say a cemetery is separate but a grave yard adjoins a church - had not heard that before.

My Mother, Billie Reynolds Cook, attended school here as a child although she isn't in the pictures.  She lived with her grandparents, Robert and Sally Young, about a mile away.
