Number 10 School - 1925 or 26
LeFlore County, Oklahoma

This picture came from Thelma (Walker) Horne, who was born at Hill near the No. 10 Community in LeFlore County, OK.  She lived near the old school house for many years, along with her husband, Ellis (Dutch) Horne and family.  Thelma is now 92 and resides in Poteau, OK.

The old school building is located on Hwy 83 near Howe, OK.  It was renovated quite a few years ago and is now a nice home owned by Truman Hill. 

Lottie Luton from No. 10 Community gave Thelma the names of most students, but cautioned that there may be mistakes on some names, as it has been so many years since the picture was taken.
