This cemetery is located about 7 miles east of Pauls Valley on Hwy 19.  You drive from Pauls Valley east until you come to the Peavine Creek bridge.  You will see a red brick house ahead on the left and a couple of metal barns ahead on the right.  Just before you get to the red brick house you will see a turn off to the left.  There is currently a red painted metal gate there with a "No Trespass" sign on it.  The cemetery is up this road maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile and on the west or left hand side.  I was told it was in bad shape and it is but it has seen care recently.  Trees have been cut down and burned, footstones removed for better mowing, and some of the old FHMs have been removed and are laying on stumps or against trees.  It might take only 1 or 2 growing seasons at the most for this cemetery to get in this shape.  It is overgrown, especially in the center.  There may even be some stone hidden in this tall grass which I did not see plus there may be more graves here that are not even marked anymore.  If you know who any of these or some of the unknowns may be please let me know.  It is definitely in need of care.  If you have relatives here or if you are just interested in taking care of this cemetery, please contact me and I will find the name of the current landowner so this can be done.

Comment by: Paul Belvin  Garner Dykman, husband to Stella Dykman, William Guy Belvin's sister lived in Stratford.  They had a little convenience grocer store and gas station. The Dykman's had a son named Oneal.  Oneal had a daughter named Linda.  They had several acres of land and allowed family and neighbors to bury their loved ones on their property.  Don't know if the cemetery was given a name or if head stones or markers exist.  Believe grocery store and gas station and their home was off I 19 between Pauls Valley and Ada. The House at the beginning of the property is a distant relative of mine. Her name is Ramona Dykeman. the white house directly beside her house would be my Great Aunt Stella Dykemans house. directly across the street is her daughter Linda's house. from what Ramona told me, the property that has the cemetery on it is own by 3-4 business partners that reside in Pauls Valley. They have Cattle on that property so the roadside fence is locked. when my uncle and I reached the cemetery, mostly all of the headstones had been knocked over. there was evidence that the cows had been in there. it wasn't that bad walking thru there but there were numerous metal poles with no marker information.
