Macedonia Negro Cemetery
- Atoka Co.
  from the stop light at the corner of Court Street and North Mississippi Avenue in Atoka, go north 1.4 miles and turn west. Go west 1/2 mile, turn north .08 mile, and then back west. Continue on this road until you reach the Coal Creek Indian Church, then turn left and go 1 mile. Turn left again, and continue straight ahead, past the section line which turns to the right. The road develops into more of a lane, but you continue on it until you reach the burial site on the left. The site is under no fence and is in deplorable condition, overgrown with grass and underbrush, making it very difficult to canvass. This cemetery was canvassed on April 9, 1983 by Gwen Walker, Janice Allen, and Evelyn Youngblood, and on that date contained 17 identified graves, and an estimated 20 to 25 unidentified ones. Because of the condition of the site, an accurate count of the unidentified graves was impossible.

Maytubby Cemetery

  cemetery is abandoned in a pretty heavily wooded area, and is under no fence. It is located approximately 3/4 mile northwest of the abandoned Maytubby schoolhouse, and is believed to be primarily Indian burials. The property is owned by Dr. Brice Cochran of Oklahoma City, OK. Our thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Dude Culbreath for taking us to this site. Without help from someone living in the area, it would be very difficult to find. The directions by which we reached it are as follows: Take Hwy. 69-75 south approximately 12 miles from Atoka, and turn west at the "Old Ponderosa" corner. Continue west approximately 7 miles, turn south for 3 miles, east 1 1/2 miles, and back north approximately 2 miles. It was canvassed November 24, 1980 by Gwen Walker and Blanche Folsom, and on that date contained 12 identified graves, and 16 unidentified ones.
  There was some evidence of digging and vandalism at the site, and apparently this was true.

This cemetery is approx 2 miles south of Tribbey and 2 miles North of Trousdale off of 102. Cemetery is well maintained and has a gate with a sign that says: MORAL 1895.   located approximately 3 1/2 miles southwest of the town of Enterprise on land originally owned by the Choctaw-Chickasaw Nations. It consists of 1 1/2 acres located in Twp 9 North, Range 18 East, Section 33. Thomas Jefferson Walls, Sr. received a land patent on 40 acres which included the cemetery?[which] came in to the possession of the people who deeded the land for the cemetery to the Haskell County School District No. 4?1919. The land was to be used for cemetery purposes only. At one time the Mount Zion Church was located adjacent to the cemetery on the south side. It also served as a school some time prior to statehood.
  There are 72 graves marked with headstones (to include native stone) ?several graves with no markers. The fenced area does not enclose all graves in the cemetery. The earliest known record of burial is 1889. There may have been burials in the cemetery prior to that date.
