20 Aug 1935 Old Timers at Mounds Picnic Mounds held its first Old Timers picnic at the homes of A. P. and F. D. Johnston last Friday evening. A number of the guests were from out of the state and from surrounding communities. The guest list totaled 112. Mrs. D. J. Red of Miami, Fla., a former Mounds resident, was the honor guest of the evening and it was also the birthday of Mrs. A. P. Johnston. Beautiful birthday cakes were presented to Mrs. A. P. Johnston and Mrs. Red. A fried chicken dinner was served. One of the outstanding features of the evening was that four generations were present in a single family. There were as follows, Mrs. Vassa Kelly, Mrs. Christina Maddox, Mrs. Kelly's daughter, Mrs. Roberta Cline daughter of Mrs. Maddox and little Rodney Sue Cline. Mrs. Cline and her husband were both born at Mounds. Out of town visitors were as follows: Mrs. D. J. Red, Miami, Fla., Mrs. C. Wills, Wills Point, Tex., Mrs. W. J. Sullivan, New York, Harry H. Bieber and wife of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ollie Chilton, Mrs. A. J. Swank and Mrs. Marguerite Glass, Stillwater, Mrs. Volita Moreau Higden and daughter of Ponca City, Dr. A. M. Bradley and wife of Muskogee, Mrs. Wilma Red Thompson, W. H. Bierley and wife, Shelby Cline and family, Roy D. Red and wife, M. G. McClure and family and Mrs. E. C. Rogers all of Tulsa, J. F. Moreau and wife, Dr. C. L. McCallum, Mrs. E. a. Hines and family, C. H. Vaughn and wife, Mrs. Lelia Williams, Mrs. Vassa Kelly, Mrs. Christina Maddox, A. H. Chapman and family, Mrs. J. R.
