SAPULPA – Mr. Archie Dee Allen, 94, 700 S. Hickory, Sapulpa, died Saturday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

Services are set for 2 pm Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Parker officiating.

Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland, Okla., under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Allen was born Dec 5, 1892 at Sioux Falls, Iowa. He was a member of Lee and Walnut Church of Christ, and was a retired oil field pumper for Gulf Oil Co. He had been a Sapulpa resident since 1951.

Survivors include wife Mary; Survivors include two sons, Harold of Nashville, Tenn., and Jimmy of Owasso; four daughters, Dorothy Eiseman, Ponca City; Olive Smith, Oklahoma City; Pauline Hooper, Sulphur, La., and Mary Lou Franklin, Tulsa; a brother, Earl Allen, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family receive visitors Monday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen was born December 5, 1892 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. 

He moved to Sapulpa in 1951 from Three Sands, N. M. 

He married his wife 1914 in Tulsa.
