Updated: 06 Sep 2009 ALLEN, MARY FRANCES Mary Frances Allen, 94, 310 W. Taft, died Saturday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday in the Smith Funeral Chapel with Glen Liston officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland. She was born April 7, 1896, in Pawnee County, and was a Sapulpa resident since 1951, moving here from Three Sands, N.M. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Lee and Walnut Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, in July 1987. Survivors include sons Harold Allen of Nashville, Tenn. and Jimmy Allen of Owasso; daughters Dorthy WISEMAN of Ponca City, Pauline HOOPER of Salpher, La., Mary Lou FRANKLIN of Tulsa and Olive Ada SMITH of Oklahoma City; sister Jewell DENNY of Oilton; brothers Bill SMITH of Cleveland and Oren Smith of Roswell, N. M.; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Allen’s body will lie in state at the funeral home until 9 am Wednesday. The casket will not be opened at the service. Casket Bearers were her grandsons Charles Smith, David Smith, Harold Eiseman, Jr., Tony Franklin, Jimmy Allen, James Allen, Mike Allen and John Allen. |
