Updated: 06 Sep 2009 Katherine Ballard Katherine M. Ballard, 72, 1525 Valley View, died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. John Hall and T. Howard Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens. She was born Jan 7, 1921, in Okmulgee and moved to Sapulpa in 1947. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and Lady Elks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Ballard. Survivors include son Charles Ballard of Sapulpa; brother Clifford Parker of Webbers Falls, Okla.; sister Frankie Lemaster of Peoria, IL; Georgia Mays of Eugene, Ore., and Wanda Burger of Del City, Okla.; one grandson; and one great grandson. Katherine Ballard Funeral services for Katherine M. Ballard were held this afternoon at 2 in the West Side Baptist Church with Rev. John Hall and Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating. Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers were Bill Bristow, Walt McDonnell, Herb Graham, Ronnie Flippo, Larry D. Irby and Glenn Nix. Honorary bearers were Jack Davis, Ken Wilson and James Adams. Mrs. Ballard, a Sapulpa resident since 1947, died Saturday at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. |
