Gertie Rosetta (Bolin) Banks, 93, 1310 E. Cleveland, died Saturday at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11am Tuesday at Westside Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Millard McGuire and Larry Tuttle officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Jan 14, 1898, in Ash Grove, MO, and had lived in this area since 1903. Mrs. Banks was a member of the Pilgrims of Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Kellyville. She retired 31 years ago after serving as a cook at the Park Inn Café, Diamond Truck Stop and South Main Café.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Orvel and Elbert Banks.

Survivors include son Cleo Banks of Sapulpa; daughter Juanita HELLARD of Sapulpa; sisters Edna STACH of Abilene, TX, Lela ACREE of Skiatook and Dorothy HOOPER of Lawton; brothers Ernest BOLIN of Bristow and Lawrence Bolin of Selma, CA; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Rocky Hickman, Joe Hickman, Russell Ryker, Aaron Jones, Robert Jones, Bo Hillard, Kevin Mieswinkel and Justin Banks.

The honorary casketbearer was Glen Banks.

Mrs. Banks, an area resident since 1903, died Saturday.
