Ms. Leah Barton, 81, 310 W. Taft, died Friday at Hillcrest Medical Center. Services will be 1 pm Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe C. Knowles officiating. Burial will be at Mounds Cemetery, Mounds. She was born Sep 11, 1905, in Mounds. She lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kiefer chapter of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron and 50 year member of the Eastern Star, and member and post officer of Order of Amaranth. She also was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include brother Bill of Mounds; sisters Mary Cross of Jenks and Emily Snyder of Wagoner; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will headquartered at 1010 E. Jackson.
May 18, 1987 Services for Ms. Leah Barton were today at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe C. Knowles officiating. Burial was in Mounds Cemetery. Casket bearers were Bill Cross, Alfred Cross, Bob Barton, Edward Barton, David Snyder and John Barton, Honorary bearers were David Cowan and Dude Crowder.
