Edith F. Benfield, 83, Sapulpa, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1995 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Church of God with the Rev. Ross Atkins officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 14, 1911 in Tulsa.

She married Gordon W. Benfield on Oct. 20, 1928.

She was a member of the First Church of God for more than 50 years. She retired from J. C. Penny’s after working for them for 48 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Marlene Vanarsdel, Sapulpa, Valarie Ryer, Kemp, TX, and Karen Linn, Dallas, TX; two sisters, Bernice Phillips, Tulsa, and Lillian Owen, Dallas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her... (obit ends)
