KONZIE BIGHEAD
MOUNDS— Konzie Bighead Jr., 59, of Mounds, died Saturday at his home.
Prayer services are scheduled 7:30 tonight in the Pickett Chapel Indian
Methodist Church with the Revs. Thomas Long and Mike Harjo officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs under the direction of
Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Bighead was born on Oct. 22, 1931, in Mounds. He had lived in Mounds for the
last 15 years, moving there from Amarillo, Texas.
He attended the Chiloco School and Liberty High School.
Mr. Bighead was a painter and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean
conflict. Mr. Bighead was a member of the Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist
Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Survivors include wife Louis; step-daughters Marie Foshee and Connie Buetner,
both of Amarillo, Texas, Tommie Dearman of Midland, Texas, Priscilla Mason of
Sand springs; step-sons Chester Lewis of Sand Springs and Carl Lewis of Kansas
City; sister Mae Tulsa of Mounds; and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Konzie Bighead Jr. Of Mounds were today at the Pickett
Chapel Indian Methodist Church with the Revs. Thomas Long and Mike Harjo
officiating.
Burial followed in Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs under the direction of smith
Funeral Home.
Casketbearers were Crosby Corsccissis, Carlin Thompson, Bill Fosher, Chester
Lewis, Durran Lynn Fosher and Carl Lee Lewis.
Honorary casketbearers were Gilbert Mathews and Harrison Barnett.
