Jess H. Brown Rites Friday

Funeral services for Jesse H____ Brown, 68, of Rt. 1, Bristow, were scheduled at 2 pm Friday in the First Street Holiness church of Bristow with the Rev. Richard McDaniel officiating, assisted by Bro. George Davis and the Rev. J. H. Duke.

Brown died Wednesday in Bristow Memorial Hospital. Born March 6, 1909, in Bristow, he had lived in that area most of his life and retired from the Creek County highway department in 1974. He was a member of the Gpsy Free Holiness church.

Survivors are his widow Winnie of the home; one son, Henry, of Bristow; six daughters, Wilma Duke of Depew, Margaret Ailey of Milfay, Freda Fowler of Midwest City, Shirley Brown of the home; Sharon VanOrsdol of Bristow and Earlene Bostick of Bristow; two brothers, Ed Brown of Sapulpa and Guess Brown of Drumright; two sisters, Clara Bowlin of Sapulpa and Tressie McGuire of Kellyville; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery under direction of Dunaway-Schumacher Funeral Home of Bristow.
