William E. Burkins, 68, of Sapulpa, died Monday at home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday, at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Sam Gober and Rev. Luis Torres officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born March 23, 1925, in Bellaire, Md. A resident of Sapulpa since 1967, he was a member of the First Assembly of God and a former employee of Zip Trip and Reasors.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; son, Bruce Charles Burkins of California; daughters, Janice Stunkard of Tyler, Texas, Charlotte Hydelberg of Fredonia, Kan., Kay Blair of Sapulpa, Billie Kay Burkins of Glenpool and Phyllis Wages of Stroud; brothers; John and Millard Burkins of Grand Junction, Colo.; sisters, Catherine Snyder of Hallston, Md., Myrtle Joines of Winsor, Pa., and Rose Street of Hallsville, Md.

Funeral services for William E. Burkins were held this afternoon at 2 in the Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Sam Gober and Rev. Luis Torres officiating.

Burkins, a longtime area resident, died Monday at his home.
