Lula Mae Carner, 78, a Mounds resident died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harry Dodd officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa.

She was born April 29, 1915, in Olive, Okla. Married George Theodore Carner in 1988, who preceded her in death.

A Mounds resident since 1988, she was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Survivors include sons Bob Carner of Mounds, Herb Carner of Sapulpa, George T. Carner Jr. of Big Cabin, Okla.; John Carner of Dallas, Tex.; and Calvin Carner of Oklahoma City; daughters Mary Lou Blodgett of Republic, Mo.; and Betty Ann Fields of Oklahoma City; brothers Emery and Calvin Berryhill, both of Houston, Tex.; and E.M. Berryhill of Rockport, Tex.; sisters Thelma Crews and Juanita Vaughn, both of Houston, and Hattie Higgins of El Dorado, Kan.; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lula Mae Carner were to have been held at 10 am today in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harry Dodd officiating.

Interment was to follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are listed as Gary Bright, Brent Hayes, Gary Neely, Buddy Price, Lawrence Thomas and Coy D. Tuttle. Honorary bearers are Dale Newman, J.B. Sparks and F.C. Thomas.
