Gene Childress, 67, Rt. 2, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Free Holiness Church in Bristow with the Rev. Leon Farley officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Childress was born Aug 10, 1923, in Creek County and was an area resident all of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He also was the retired superintendent of J. B. Jackson Oil Co.
Survivors include wife Cora; sons Bob Childress of Sapulpa and Sam Childress of Sand Springs; daughter Martha Scott of Glenpool; brothers Aubrey, Bill and S. T., all of Bristow; sister May Ann Caldwell of Claremore; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Gene Childress were held today at the Free Holiness Church in Bristow with the Rev. Leon Farley officiating.
Burial followed at Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Casketbearers were Kenny Mann, Tommy Hood, Charles Brewer, Jack Horath, Eddie Livingston and Ed Banks.
Honorary casketbearers were John Fahnholz and John Ishmael.
Mr. Childress, a livelong area resident, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center following an apparent heart attack.
